Loki stared flatly at Thor, not quite able to believe what he had just heard. Instinct kicked in, a thousand reasons bubbling up in his mind for why he did not wish to travel down this road and neither should Thor want to either.

He hated it as much as he adored Thor for it, that he only ever did it when he would match Loki in sentiment, that they would be soft and vulnerable together.
