Work Text:
Everyone has at least one thing they can’t seem to do no matter how hard they try. Taehyung’s version of this is carrying out one decent conversation with Jeon Jeongguk. It just doesn’t work out.
You’d think that after months of working in the same place Taehyung will actually get somewhere with his blaringly obvious infatuation with the boy, and yet here he is- watching the other clock in and out of work and managing nothing but a meek “Good work today,” before feeling his entire face burn up at the warm smile Jeongguk returns to him. Bunny teeth and all.
Oh believe him, he tried. It’s just that most of the time, Jeongguk’s eyes would stare into his and that completely ruins Taehyung’s carefully planned out reply that he was crafting in his head. Or, in other unfortunate occasions, his best friend Jimin would send him teasing looks whenever any interaction takes place. Or whenever Taehyung pines for the other way too obviously, which happens embarrassingly often.
It doesn’t help when Jeongguk literally cuddles and interacts with other people as a nine to five; because Taehyung is the one scheduling them. Safe to say, he dreads his job.
At first, it was off-putting to see so many people coming to them for comfort, to escape. Their clients are mostly made up of overworked adults who need means to escape stress, but don’t have them. It’s still interesting to see how the professional cuddlers were able to provide relief just by listening and being there for those people.
“I think they needed the warmth,” Jimin once said to him, “People turn cold in big cities like this.”
And looking at how Jimin’s clients always make their way back into his warm hugs, Taehyung figures his friend has a point.
“Hey Taetae,” Jimin greets him as he clocks in for his shift, “Who am I booked for today?”
Taehyung steals a look at the excel spreadsheet on his laptop before answering, “A half an hour with Bora- she adores you- and after that a three hour session with Kim Namjoon,” he pauses, “Isn’t he the guy from last week?”
Jimin’s eyes enlarge in surprise, “He scheduled for three hours?”
“I guess so,” Taehyung double-checks the time on his screen, “Yeah, he did. Damn Chim, you’re good.”
“What can I say, honey. These hands work magic.”
Taehyung laughs incredulously at the latter’s teasing grin, “What did you even do to the guy?”
Jimin hums, shifting on his feet as his body leans against Taehyung’s desk. Pink strands of his hair fall slightly into his eyes. Taehyung clicks his tongue and moves his hand to sweep them away. “I didn’t really do much,” Jimin says, “Just sat there, held him, listened to him speak.”
“Bored you to death?”
Jimin sends him a glare, “No. You wouldn’t be saying that if you heard him talk, Tae. He’s so smart and profound- It was so nice to listen to."
Taehyung raises an eyebrow but doesn’t say anything else, letting his friend continue speaking. It’s a given that Jimin would like Namjoon since his other clients preferred to spend their sessions in silence. The pink haired man is a natural chatterbox as far as Taehyung knows.
As he listens to Jimin’s rambling, he forgets to pay attention to the time. It is when Jeongguk’s client walks out of the room that he realises how long it’s been. The woman, a petite thing, walks up to him and greets him before giving him her credit card for the billing. She’s used to the routine by now.
Taehyung smiles at her and spots Jeongguk walking out of the room from a corner of his eye. “Thank you and have a nice day!” he says when he hands her back the card. After a quick goodbye from her, the client is out of the door.
Jimin, who has stopped talking ever since the interruption, sees Jeongguk coming around the corner and fakes a cough into his hands. Taehyung sighs hopelessly because if there is one thing Jimin can’t do, it would be acting.
“Hey guys,” Jeongguk follows his words with a wave. His hand then moved to rub the back of his neck, scratching it. Taehyung winces at how the other’s joints crack when he moves them. “Ah, I keep on falling asleep during sessions and I always end up waking in a really uncomfortable position.”
“Why is that so relatable,” Jimin quips, resting his chin on the palm of his hand, “When the clients fall asleep it’s a challenge to keep yourself occupied enough to stay conscious.” He groans, turning to Taehyung with a pout. “The bed makes it difficult to not sleep”
Taehyung glances at the younger boy and bites the inside of his cheeks when Jeongguk rubs his eyes wearily. He knows that the other still has a two hour session scheduled for today, so Taehyung gets up and walks to the vending machine in the waiting room.
“Here,” he says when he returns, handing Jeongguk a bottle, “It’s not coffee but green tea contains some caffeine. It should help.”
Jimin is giving him that smile again, Taehyung notices. He rolls his eyes and sits back into his desk, avoiding looking Jeongguk’s way because Taehyung still doesn’t know how to deal with eye contact.
“Oh, thanks,” Jeongguk sounds surprised, there’s also smile somewhere in his voice. Taehyung bites down on his lower lips to stop the smile forming on his face. “Now I’m sure I’ll make it through today.”
Jimin’s laugh is an obnoxiously teasing one, making Taehyung want to dig up a hole and hide in it.
“Oh, I’m sure you will,” Jimin waves his hands dismissively, “Although I'm not so sure about myself since Taetae didn't even bother to get me anything."
Taehyung doesn't miss a beat with his reply, "If I knew you were gonna be this petty about it, I would have."
Gasping, his friend places a hand on his chest in an offended manner. Taehyung chuckles to himself as he promptly ignores Jeongguk, who is already sipping on the green coloured drink. It's a simple 'If I don't see you, you won't see me' kind of mind-set that he's counting on.
The day goes by just like how it normally does, with Jeongguk and Jimin busied with their clients and Taehyung playing random apps he downloaded with all the free time he has manning the reception.
And as usual, he says good bye to Jeongguk when the other is on his way out– making it the last of their short daily interactions that Taehyung always looks forward to.
"Y'know if you really are out of ideas, you should just book an appointment with him," Jimin suggests, popping a bubble gum in his mouth. His face is composed, unlike the insanity he'd just suggested to Taehyung.
"Don't be ridiculous," he hisses, feeling his face warm up at the thought of it alone, "I can barely talk to the guy and you want me to spend an entire hour– or more, with him? And do you remember how much those hours would cost me? Do you want my dog to starve?!"
Jimin puts his hands up in a sign of surrender, "That's just my two cents on the whole thing, unless you have better ways to stop pining for Jeongguk's ass."
Wanting to say something back just to spite his friend, Taehyung faces disappointment when he literally has nothing to say to that. Begrudgingly, he has to admit that spending a couple of hours with Jeongguk without being pressured into saying anything sounds like an ideal plan.
"Something to think about," Jimin smirks mischievously as he nudges Taehyung.
And Taehyung would have slept on it, but laying there on his bed that night thinking of how Jeongguk's warmth would surround him, how close they'd be to each other– it keeps him wide awake.
It only takes him a nagging mother, a sick dog, and a few looming deadlines to finally give in to his wants and book a whopping two hours worth of cuddles. He almost cries when he realizes just how much he's spending on this session but he guesses it's just the pent up stress finally breaking him out of his composure and judgement.
The girl on the reception is more than confused to see him there, telling him that it was her shift today, but the confusion is added with surprise when he tells her his real reason being there. Jimin is gonna get a kick out of this one.
So after a few unfruitful minutes of haggling, Taehyung finally relents and hands his colleague his credit card.
"It shouldn't hurt this much," he weeps, biting into his fist as she slides his card into the machine, "so why do I feel pain?" Taehyung squeezes his eyes shut, "Why?"
"There, there." The girl comforts, returning his card, "It's over now."
All this for a hug? Taehyung feels slightly enraged. He wants to curse at his horrible friend for even suggesting this.
Huffing discontentedly, Taehyung sits back on the couch in the waiting room to give himself some space to think. His session is in 26 minutes. In 26 minutes Jeongguk will cuddle him. He'll get to cuddle his crush in 26– oh shit, 25 minutes. This is already such a disaster.
Jimin is nowhere in sight, so that would mean that he has a client. Taehyung sighs heavily, needing his moral support now more than ever. If only Jimin could slap the panic out of him right now, he'd feel slightly less nauseous.
How would Jeongguk react when he finds out that Taehyung paid for him to spend their time together? Would he be weirded out? Repulsed? Concerned? He hopes it to be none of those.
Taehyung decides on taking out his phone to distract himself from the upcoming mess he signed up for. An email from his professor and a missed call from his vet followed by a text telling him to pick Yeontan up tomorrow when he'll be discharged from the clinic.
He could cry out of relief at the news. He'd been wanting to for this whole cursed week anyway.
"Kim Taehyung-ssi," the girl from earlier smiled at him with a knowing glint in her eyes, "ready for your session?"
Oh, shit. That's now?
"I feel sick," Taehyung backs up, regretting his decisions already.
"Come on now, I'll show you to Jeongguk's room. Although, I believe you already know where that is." she stops herself from cracking a smile. Taehyung glared at her weakly for the teasing.
Even if he hasn't been inside the room before, Taehyung knows where it is– at the end of the corridor. The wooden door is labelled with the initials JK. He stares at the carvings, fiddling with the ends of his sweater without him realising it.
"He'll be inside," the girl says as a parting, walking away from Taehyung and the door.
Not believing himself to speak, he knocks instead, hearing soft footsteps from inside the room. He startles when the handle to the door moves and isn't prepared when Jeongguk appears behind it, looking just as speechless as he is.
"Tae... Taehyung?" The younger blurts out, blinking his large eyes and looking around in search of anyone else. It takes Taehyung a few seconds to understand that he is probably looking for his client.
"Uh– hi Jeongguk," he offers an unsure smile, hopefully it doesn't look too pained, "I'm here for the two hour session?"
He gauges for any type of reaction until Jeongguk's frown turns into a dumbfounded smile. "Wait, no seriously?"
Taehyung winces at the words, "I'm sorry, uh, I can still cancel–"
"No, no, I don't uh... I don't mean it like that," the younger interrupts, "It's nothing bad, I just never would've expected this."
Taehyung bites the insides of his cheeks at that, suddenly wanting to combust right then and there. Jeongguk doesn't seem to hate him for being there though, so that's still a plus.
After telling him to take his shoes off, which makes everything seem realer to Taehyung for whatever reason, Jeongguk lets him into the room. Inside was the cosiest bit of space Taehyung has ever stepped in, with the yellowed lights softly illuminating the furniture and the lo-fi hip hop tracks distinctly playing in the background. There is a bed at one end of the room, adorned with several pillows and covered by a thick looking, knitted blanket. A few plushies sat on the foot of the bed and Taehyung's eyes immediately fall onto them.
He walks over to the bed and reaches his hand out to pet the large Ryan doll, rubbing its ear between his thumb and forefinger, feeling the soft material under his skin. He smiles at how cute it is before noticing the other plushies in the collection.
"You like We Bare Bears?" Jeongguk's voice say from behind him, spooking him a bit. He wouldn't blame the younger though, Taehyung's nerves are spiralling beyond control at this point.
He looks down at the round plushie under his hand, Ice Bear's trademark poker face stares right back at him, "Yeah, they're cute goofs."
Jeongguk makes an appreciative sound, "Good thing I put 'em here then. You can hold onto them if you want."
Taehyung thinks for a bit before bringing the doll closer and hugging it against his chest. Jeongguk smiles a bit at that and gestures for Taehyung to come sit next to him on the bed. When he does, Taehyung stiffens, suddenly not knowing what to do now that they're both sitting on the bed.
"So I assume you've signed the agreement and were informed about the rules?" Jeongguk questions, sounding more professional this time around. Taehyung nods at that, earning a content hum from the other. "Great, so you do know that I'll only do things that are within your consent?"
"Yeah."
Jeongguk loosens up with a small smile, "Perfect– oh and I'll make sure to inform you of anything we're about to do, so don't worry."
That's not even close to what Taehyung is actually worried about at the moment.
He watches as Jeongguk moves to the middle of the bed before patting the space next to him. Taehyung gulps and follows him. His limbs feel wobbly and light when he slides across the mattress. Taehyung makes it safely there though, still hugging Ice Bear when he settles next to the other man.
Before he starts worrying about what to say, Jeongguk's left hand appears between them, his palm facing up. Taehyung stares like a gaping fish, unable to comprehend anything until Jeongguk speaks up, "Can I hold your hand, Tae?"
Hearing the words spoken out so casually does things to his heart, causing its beat to pick up in pace and making Taehyung's palms sweat. He quickly wipes it against the plushie before placing it over Jeongguk's outstretched hand. As soon as he does, Jeongguk folds their fingers together, placing them on top of his thigh and drawing little circles on the back of Taehyung's palm.
Meanwhile Taehyung is about to faint.
"Uh– um has it started yet?" Taehyung smartly lets out, eyes still fixed on where Jeongguk's skin is touching his.
"The session?" Jeongguk aided, "Yep, I'm just easing you into it," he says after a hum, "Relax, Tae."
"Sorry, did I just make things weird?" The older one sighs, somehow still breathing even after all that contact with Jeongguk which didn't involve any sort of greetings. Jeongguk responds with a light sounding laugh.
With warmth enveloped within their intertwined fingers, Jeongguk replies, "That's completely normal. It takes up some time to get used to touching someone for the first time."
I don't think I'll ever get used to you, Taehyung thinks to himself as he looks away from Jeongguk's stare. He realises just a second too late that he'd said it out loud. Jeongguk looks at him, his mouth parted to form words but none come out.
"I... I meant that," Taehyung babbles, trying his best to cover his tiny slip-up, "I've just never done this before, you know," he finishes off lamely.
"You're okay," Jeongguk assures him. Taehyung lets himself be convinced.
They spend the next few minutes just sitting there, talking in hushed volumes with their hands held tightly together. At some point, Jeongguk starts playing with his fingers and Taehyung has to remind himself to keep breathing throughout. Jeongguk's nails are painted with a dark purple, which Taehyung points out.
"Oh, these?" Jeongguk fans out his fingers to show off the matte coating on his short, blunt nails, "I like playing around with nail polish, what do you think of this one?"
Taehyung lets out a small smile, "They're really pretty on you."
"Yeah?" The raven haired boy lights up, looking a little excited. Taehyung continues to gush silently over it. "You like the colour?"
"It's my favourite," he replies, watching an honest sort of wonder spread on the other's features. "Really?" He chuckles when Taehyung nods in answer, "What are the odds. What else is your favourite?"
"Uh," Taehyung starts out, brain whizzing for coherent replies, "Oil paintings... hot chocolate... dogs... Oh, my puppy Yeontan. He's my absolute favourite."
Jeongguk leans in a little, "You have a dog?"
"Yeah!" Taehyung says with excitement, always happy to tell people about how wonderful his puppy is, "He was sick for a while but I'm finally going to take him home tomorrow."
Jeongguk's eyes widen in concern. "Is he alright?"
"The vet says he is, but I was worried sick anyways." Taehyung huffs, deflating a little at the memory, "Tannie caught a virus somehow. I've never seen him that weak and pained before."
Jeongguk studies him for a while before scooting closer and turning to face Taehyung. "Tae, do you want to rest your head on my shoulder?"
Surprised, Taehyung blinks silently at him before managing a shaky nod. Jeongguk waits patiently, letting him take in the new position and lower his head to fit into the curve of his neck and shoulders.
His entire face is warm– impossibly hot even, against Jeongguk's body heat. Their hands are still bound together since Jeongguk never lets go. A few silent beats pass by with music still playing in the background. Jeongguk's breathing rises and falls with his entire body, and Taehyung's own breathing subconsciously adjusts to the other's rhythm. It doesn't change the way his heart hammers all the more louder against his ribcage though.
"Is it okay if I touch your hair?" Jeongguk pipes up after a while.
"T-touch my hair?" Taehyung looks up to find Jeongguk glancing at him from the corners of his eyes, "I guess so..."
Soon enough, he can feel Jeongguk's fingers running through the hair at the back of his head. Their hands are no longer touching so he folds his together, not knowing where else to put them. Jeongguk's arm cages him across his back, his hand finding purchase within Taehyung's overgrown, slightly curly locks.
He can't help but close his eyes at the feeling of Jeongguk's blunt nails scratching against his scalp, combing his hair back and sometimes even lightly massaging down his neck. The younger has probably done this lots of times before; He even knew to rub lightly against Taehyung's ears, which feels so good it sends shudders down his spine.
"Ticklish?" Jeongguk asks, a hint of mirth in his tone.
"Just a bit," Taehyung confesses, laughing at the other's apologetic expression. Who knew being around Jeongguk could feel this easy?
"How are you feeling?" The younger asks.
Taehyung hums as Jeongguk's hand smooth down his hair, "Good," he opens his eyes, frowning, "Huh. I haven't felt so in a while."
Jeongguk makes a questioning sound but doesn't voice anything else. He doesn't rush so Taehyung takes his time in answering.
"It's just been a rough week for me," Taehyung lowers his volume, practically whispering the words into Jeongguk's shirt. "It's just– with all the assignment deadlines due next week, I'm sort of all over the place. Lack of sleep and all. I got really stressed to the point where I start questioning myself if what I'm doing is worth it. It doesn't help that my mom keeps on telling me to think things over again," he sighs, sounding tired, "I know she's worried but having her doubt me isn't doing much for my crippling self-esteem y'know. I wish she'd just trust me."
"Yeah, parents can be like that to you," adds Jeongguk, still playing with his hair. His fingers tug gently around the strands.
"Yours too?"
Jeongguk huffs softly, amused, "Cuddling people as an income doesn't really fit any parents' standards, don't you think?"
Oh, does Taehyung know. The knowledge of that itself is what drove him into this situation– struggling for God knows how many semesters to get a degree he never really wanted, but was told he needed. It's not that bad really, just not that great either.
"You're still here though," Taehyung says, feeling Jeongguk's other hand reaching out for his. Instinctively, he wraps his hands around it. Jeongguk's hands are surprisingly soft, he notes.
"Yeah, they're not a fan of what I do. Especially not after I dropped out of Law," he laughs at Taehyung's shell-shocked expression, "but I wasn't happy with the life they picked out for me. I was unhappy for quite a while and it got so bad that even they could tell. Worse is, I didn't know what would make me happy. Couldn't think of anything to do with my life since I don't really have a life goal or anything. But I know I like doing this," Jeongguk rests his head against Taehyung's, left arm falling to rest on the mattress behind them. "So that's where I am right now, still trying things out, figuring what'll make me the happiest in the long run."
Taehyung smiles solemnly at his words, "Hmm, just know that I envy you a lot."
"Why so?" Jeongguk asks in between chuckles.
"Not everyone can do what you do."
"They don't have to," he replies, "They can live their lives the complete opposite way and still be happy."
Taehyung laughs, making Jeongguk a little confused. "What is it?"
"Nothing," He manages after the laughter, "I never thought I'd get to talk to you about these things. We've known each other for months and it took me this long to start talking to you and to find out how easy it actually is."
Jeongguk huffs, "You could've easily done it without having to pay for it though."
Taehyung scoffs, feeling slightly braver now that he knows Jeongguk better, "But then I'd miss out on all the cuddling."
"Nah, I wouldn't strip you of that privilege," Jeongguk teases, resulting in the other's embarrassed whine.
The lights grew dimmer with the sun setting outside of the window. Jeongguk is warm next to him, and Taehyung's pulse is rapid against the younger's skin. They continue talking about anything. Jeongguk recommends him some of his favourite animes and Taehyung tells him about the misfortunes of his student life, complete with embarrassing stories involving Jimin.
He somehow ends up half-asleep on Jeongguk's lap, trying to keep his eyes open and failing when Jeongguk's hands soothingly brush against his hair, pushing it back and tucking it against his ear.
"Is it okay if I drape an arm over your waist?"
"Mmhm," he mumbles out, too sleepy to care.
A comforting weight presses against his waist and rests alongside his arm. Jeongguk's thighs are firm under his cheek and to be completely honest, it's starting to ache. "Jeongguk,"
"Mm?"
"Do you work out?"
A confused noise, "Regularly, yes."
Taehyung huffs, smacking the thigh under him before sitting back up straight. "Well everything makes sense now," he looks Jeongguk in the eye and for the first time ever, does not look away, "it feels like I'm sleeping on a rock."
Jeongguk's flustered giggling is everything, Taehyung decides. They managed to manoeuvre around into another position with Jeongguk guiding their limbs so they'd be comfortable enough.
It turns out that Taehyung is more often the big spoon, needing something to hug in his sleep. It's been that way ever since he was a child, so now it's more of a habit than a preference. Jeongguk, on the other hand, curls up into a fetal position when sleeping. When he suggests that they spoon– Taehyung has to temp down the urge to hysterically cry because he's going to be hugging Jeongguk to sleep.
He just can't believe this is happening. Not after months of unrequited pining for the boy and whining about it to Jimin.
"You can wrap your arms around me whenever you're ready," Jeongguk calls over, back already facing Taehyung, "and it's okay if you press your chest against my back."
Taehyung bites down on his lip, suddenly nervous. "O-okay."
He takes in a deep breath before scooting over on his side and settling snugly behind Jeongguk. The other is wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants, something he can imagine Jeongguk wearing casually at home, maybe on a lazy Sunday. It makes him look soft and perhaps that's what he's going for.
Taehyung lets his arm through under the arch of Jeongguk's waist, which is surprisingly slender considering how built the man is. Then his other arm goes over Jeongguk's side, resting just above his hips. Taehyung freezes, waiting for the other's reaction.
Not saying anything, Jeongguk merely hums and pulls Taehyung closer, slotting their legs together so that Taehyung's body is fully wrapped around him. "Get comfy, it's okay," the younger assures, "Just relax yourself Tae."
And with a few hiccups here and there, he finally does. The first thing he notices is that, true to his word, Jeongguk's body shrinks and curls when he loosens up, making himself tinier that way. It's the most adorable thing to ever happen.
Taehyung eases into it as time passes, looping his arms around the other with ease and feel Jeongguk's body breathing steadily against his. His head slides down the pillow and he rests his forehead on the back of the younger's neck.
Jeongguk's scent is a mix of soft and fruity. Taehyung guesses it's the detergent of his clothes, but he can also make out something similar to vanilla and coconut, although faintly. He buries his face in the fabric of Jeongguk's shirt, unaware of nuzzling into the latter's back.
It sure has been a while since Taehyung felt this safe and relaxed. It doesn't take long for him to fall asleep with the sound of Jeongguk's sound breathing and their steady heartbeats alternating in rhythm, taking turns as if to complete each other.
It feels just like coming home.
"Oh my God, would you look at them!" a blurry voice breaks through Taehyung's nap. It sounds terribly similar to his best friend's. "Both of them– out cold. Now we know why none of them answered the door."
"Funny, Jeongguk never sleeps this heavily before," a girl chimes in.
Jimin, as Taehyung has now established, scoffs at that, "Please, we all know he's a light sleeper. Aren't you just being a brat, Jeongguk?"
The person in Taehyung's vice grip stirs, stretching a little but still careful not to disturb him. "Takes one to know one, Jimin."
"You insolent little..." Jimin growls under his breath. Taehyung can just imagine the pout on his face and the frown weighing his eyebrows down. "Why are you pretending to sleep?"
Jeongguk stops moving, opting instead to press back against Taehyung's hold with a smug little grin on his face. "It's warm. He is. I don't really wanna get up."
"That's gay," Jimin deadpans.
"Oh really? So am I! What a coincidence!"
Jimin sends him an eye roll for the sarcasm, "Time's up, Jeongguk. Please wake him up."
With a groan, Jeongguk buries his face further into the pillows. Jimin leaves them be and closes the door. It was then when Taehyung feels the younger turning around to face him.
"Tae, get up." he coaxes, shaking the sleepy man to a wake. His hands run through his hair to fix it away from his face. "Come on, sunshine," he urges, "Jimin will throw a fit if we don't get out soon. We still need to close up."
Taehyung opens his eyes and squints at the painful brightness of the room. He raises up his hands to rub his eyes, amusing Jeongguk even more. He feels lighter, not sure how so.
"It's time?" he manages, voice still thick and slurred.
Jeongguk smiles at him and nods, he seems to be in a good mood. "Yeah, we need to move."
"Oh," Taehyung lets out, trying not to sound too disappointed, "We better go then."
None of them make the effort to get out of the blankets and pillows. They just sit there in silence (Jimin had turned the speakers off) as they remain close to one another, body heat emanating from where they are sitting.
Soon enough, Jimin comes storming into the room again. Creating a ruckus when he sees both of them still sitting blankly in their little nest on the mattress.
Taehyung begrudgingly collects his stuff while Jeongguk leans against a wall to watch him. They are shepherded out of the space by Jimin, who insists on keeping to the closing time schedule.
When they're outside, Taehyung is at a loss of what to do. Sure Jeongguk and he had bonded over the past few hours but that doesn't ensure their relationship, since he is basically paying for the time spent.
"I... thank you for today, Guk," he says timidly, feeling the tips of his ears grow warm, "I haven't felt so at ease in a while."
"It's nothing," Jeongguk smiles, looking like he has more to say. "Hey do you think we can–"
And that is the moment when Jimin decides to barge in with the rest of the staff to collect their stuff from the lockers. Taehyung frowns at the commotion, pulling the younger man aside so they can talk. He ignores the familiar feeling of the other's hands under his touch.
"You were saying?" he asks, leaning forward a little in anticipation.
Jeongguk scratches the back of his ear, "I uh– I mean it when I said you don't have to book a session with me if you want us to spend time together..."
"Oh," Taehyung is sure his entire face is on flames, "I didn't think you'd be interested, but okay. We can hang out sometime if uh- if you want?"
"I'd like that, yeah," Jeongguk agrees, face beaming with radiance.
"Really?" He asks, mostly in disbelief and a little in awe.
Jeongguk's smile is a little teasing, "Of course. We can spend more than two hours now."
Taehyung cannot help but smile the widest one at the mention. This is really happening to him and it feels so surreal. "We definitely can."
