Work Text:
They say it's oh so frightening,
Those eyes that pierce so fiercefuly.
I do not fear, I do not fret
For I have seen them and how they get.
They fill with love and not of hate
They do not obliterate.
She comes running, your smile ever growing.
You lift her high, and hug her close.
If only I could be a part, to be so close.
To be wrapped in that embrace,
To be looked on with those eyes.
But that is not to be.
A father and a daughter should be left be.
That bond ever loving, ever growing gracefully.
I should not look, I should not see.
But those eyes, ever so beautifully,
Turn to me.
