   Higuchi longed to protect Gin, to hold her in her arms till the very last second, and to put her life on the line before her safety, but she felt so out of reach as her girlfriend kept slipping into the hands of danger, her life on the line every day, ever mission, and her chance of slaughter growing as frequent as her kill count.
