    AU, where StrexCorp have not only taken over Desert Bluffs and Night Vale at the same time, but also a slew of other small towns. Carlos (who has a codename sometimes) has joined a rebellion already brewing and led by Old Woman Josie. It's a resistance, not an army, but Carlos couldn't be happier.

    However, despite the fact that he is a scientist, he sometimes doubles up as a field agent and on one of these missions, he meets the disillusioned radio host, the Voice of Night Vale, Cecil.

    This meeting would long later be noted in the Town Council tablets as the beginning of something imperfectly perfect.
