This is a very well written, solid fic where John turn into the very real assailant that happens in reality.
It isn't a fluffy, warm, pink fic for when you feel fragile. It's when you feel strong and ready to face some real evil side of humanity. By doing so, can help heal some wounds, or open your heart and start understanding the suffering you were lucky not to have experienced. Because rape, which is perpetrated by a known assailant in 90% of cases (UK) is not just about assault. It's about betrayal, the grief of loosing what we though was a valuable relationship, our untrue fears we provoked it somehow, that we will never trust again.
Silence about sexual abuse is the tomb we built for ourselves.
Revealing it is enduring more lost, the disbelief of some, broken friendship, alienated family,
This is a wound that never can truly heal. It can make you stronger, leave you eternally struggling, especially in cases of repeated attacks, or take your life.
And yes, fortunately at least for some, healing. May we not just survive but strive.For those who doupt the truth of this scenario, please read my comments.
