    When Laufey is assassinated, Thor is sent as an envoy to ensure that their peace accord is kept with the new king, Loki.

    But things are more complicated. Laufey's assassination has sent the jotun's into a spiral of plots and intrigues. Thor has been ordered to forge peace at any cost, so when he meets with the quickly deposed king Loki in the dungeons, they conceive of a plan.
