He can catch a train and go "on" from King's Cross, either to the real afterlife or back into his body in the Forbidden Forest and try to save more lives and souls. Loki has grown up in Midgard in Fimbulwinter, which of course is entirely his and his father's fault.
After following the All-Father's invitation and falling head first into Asgard, he experiences actual civilization for the first time and promptly goes through an identity crisis. Heimdall would have been perfectly content with just watching the jötunn struggle from the sidelines, but for some reason and to his utter dismay, Loki is quite determined to drag everyone in his vicinity down into this mess with him. Even worse, the All-father seems to find his little antics more amusing than anything. Safe to say, Heimdall is not having a good time.He should have just thrown Loki off the damn wall.

A new threat looms over the Nine Realms, forcing Thor to turn to the only man he knows he can never trust—his brother, long since lost to him, who now waits patiently for his moment, once again imprisoned in the dungeons of Asgard.
But this time, the God of Mischief will have to face something entirely unexpected, and he may discover that turning his back on everything is not so simple when there is something to lose.

Except that Professor Odinson seems to know suspiciously much about the universe. His visiting brother looks like a Norse god who wandered out of a saga. And his wife's colleague, Mobius, is such an ordinary man that it begins to feel… suspicious.
If the neighbours knew the whole story... After all, this family couldn’t possibly have anything to do with Loki of Asgard who once attacked New York in 2012...Loki is given a second life, a quiet existence in Nottingham. But the past keeps finding him: the TVA, old enemies, Asgard, and the part of himself he left behind.

The Sanctuary. A fortress of torment that embraced death and promised agony. It was a haunted place - a corner that even darkness feared. It floated somewhere in a numb abyss. Like the grim ripper, its only purpose was to rob men of life. The very name, 'Thanos,' wavered in the air. It was a sour sort of word; heavy and dry.
Five years ago, The Sanctuary plucked out a lost soul from the void. The young man claimed to be a Prince of Asgard.This indeed was a delightful coincidence.
Thanos had always been at odds with Asgard. Long ago, Odin Borson created the Yggdrasill with the space stone. And with its creation, 'The Mad Titan' was separated from completing his end goal. Thanos intended to use Loki as a tool, but ironically, he ended up growing quite fond of the trickster. Loki is now a beloved child of Thanos. Gone was the prince of Asgard; found was The Oder's Assassin.
TLDR; Thanos brainwashes Loki, and now he doesn't remember Asgard.
