Summary
This is inspired entirely by the lovely Regnumveritatis and is meant to fulfill her AU idea: Luke is a traveling free-lance photographer who has finally resigned himself to a life without a soulmate. But when his mark appears later in life, it feels like he may finally have a chance to find the love he craves. As years pass, however, and he still can't find her - even with her name written on his skin - he begins to again accept an existence with just the love of his family. The bond torments him more, when he finally finds her, only to then realize she is a parentless child, living in abject poverty. Fear, misunderstanding, and distance will keep them apart until Rey grows up and decides to take matters into her own hands.
