“-Are you sure this would look good on me?
-Of course,c’mon just get it already !!”
Speedwagon was trying as hard as he could to convince Jonathan to buy that costume, perfectly sized and tainted of a splendid deep blue. He smiled and tilted his head a bit. “I could watch him for hours” he thought, and he wasn't wrong. The man really was something. He had beautiful hair, dark with blue reflections that semt like sapphires, a smile so bright it could outshine the sun itself, a body so large and strong Speedwagon only wished to be held by it.
As they were chatting, Robert couldn’t help but initiate as much physical contact as he could, hugging Jonathan, holding his hands, smacking his back.
The wedding was oh! So close, and the thug couldn’t be happier. Jojo too was happy and Speedwagon would tear up just at the thought of how much he was in utter love with Jonathan Joestar.
And then,as the blonde looked down to his hands, a cold, freezing shiver ran down to his spine, like his head was forced into some icy water. His own fingers were bare,as he was not the one Jonathan ought to be married. It was Erina. Robert was no one but the best man, loyal friend, brother in arms, invisible as he was hidden by the shadow of Jonathan Joestar, the man who killed the most cruel person he ever got to meet. Did Jojo know how at this moment Speedwagon would have rather died from the hands of the vampire rather than to feel his heart clench in horror anytime he saw him with the woman? Was he aware of the torture-like pain that was twisting his insides anytime they’d be so close? How the warmth of his smile made Speedwagon want to cry and scream? He probably never even thought about it. After all,he was soon to be married,in less of a months, with the beautiful Erina Pendleton.
“-Robert,hurry up! We still need to pick up Erina’s dress on our way!
-Ah,yes,yes,coming,mister Joestar…”
And as he followed the taller man, anyone watching them right now could have sworn the blonde man was melting into Jonathan’s Joestar shadow, for whom he would've given his life and even more.
