Work Text:
Koichi woke up with a monster headache. He couldn’t figure where he was, what time it was,or even how he ended up here, but it didn’t take him long to notice his wrists were tied together with a rope that was rough to the touch, cutting and scratching him,as he was struggling and crying out for help.Time passed by,Koichi screammed, struggled, nearly cried, he knew his wrists were bloody and, eventually, the boy realized he couldn’t escape, and that ,no matter how loud he screamed,no one would hear him, or care it seemed, anyways. The sudden silence felt like it was crushing the high schooler, who was scared as ever and had a hard time holding back tears. As he got used to it,a sound managed to get to his ears. The faint, low sound of pen scratching paper. The scribbling sound was familiar,Koichi knew it. He couldn’t figure where he heard it,thought. It couldn’t be with Yukako...Not with Okuyasu, either… Certainly not with Josuke. Wich only left…
Koichi’s eyes widened. Shit. Shit. No way. His voice filled with fear along with apprehension that his theory might be true, he started screaming,as loud as he could, even thought the panicked trembling of his voice surely gave him on how he currently felt.
“Rohan-sensei? Is...Is that you? Whatever you’re doing,it’s not funny,please stop!!”
He shouted, but nobody came. Everything was perfectly quiet. Koichi tried again a few times, crying out Rohan’s name, voice filled with despair and fear. He was absolutely terrified, he only wanted to curl up and cry, but he wanted,no,he HAD to be strong. He would've given up by now, had it not been for the sharp, tacky sound of heels tapping on the floor. His eyes lit up when he saw the mangaka open the door and stand right in front of him, wide smile and eyes sparkling with excitement. The tall man walked to him,and opened his arms in joy.
“Koichi,I’m so proud of you!! You did so well,I’m amazed!!”
The blonde haired boy’s face grimaced in confusion. What could Rohan mean by “ you did so well”?! What the hell was happening? Almost as if he could hear his thoughts, the mangaka kneeled in front of him with a smile.
“In the next Pink Dark Boy chapter, he is going to be kidnapped,so I needed to know the actual reaction of someone who was getting kidnapped and, well, you’re perfect for that!! Sorry if I scared you!”
Koichi let out a sigh, half relieve and half annoyed.Rohan’s random personality could be such a ride...The tall man stood up,looking at him with his warm, absolutely terrifying smile. Was he not going to untie him? Was he not going to free him?
Seeing the look of absolute terror in the high schooler’s eyes, Rohan laughed softly, and even as his voice sounded clear and joyful (for once, that is), Koichi could sense a much darker aura coming from the mangaka. And then, as cold as a bucket full of ice, Koichi was struck by the truth. Rohan was not planning on letting him leave any soon. Maybe not at all. The thought of it made Koichi shudder. Once again, driven by despair, he started struggling and crying for help again, only to hear annoyed tsks from Rohan’s mouth. He clearly wasn’t amused.
“You know, Koichi dear… I thought you’d be happy to see me, I really did… I thought you’d be nice and not pull any kind of stupid fight but I guess, since you’ve decided on being an ungrateful brat, that I will have to do something I’d rather not to.”
And the last thing Koichi could hear was Rohan shouting his stand’s name, before everything turns black.

When Koichi woke up, he found that he had been moved while unconscious and was currently inside Rohan’s studio. He could feel a hammering pain inside his head, he was dizzy and he felt like the world around him was spinning. A cold wind hit him from behind, and he turned his head to notice the window was slightly open. He looked around and, after being used to his surroundings, noticed Rohan standing next to the door staring at him with a wide smile. He got up excitedly, and went to Koichi, who flinched when he felt his hands on his shoulders. His stand. He could use his stand, right? He then remembered that Rohan called his stand before he collapsed and thought that he had probably wrote that he could not attack him. He felt sick, but said no word. Who knew what Rohan’s unpredictable mind could be up to? God he felt disgusted. Yet the mangaka’s face still wore that stupidly warm smile that didn’t suit him at all, and he held the small boy’s shoulders firmly.
“Oh, Koichi...I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable, you know...You’re here at home! I just don’t want you to hang out with all thoses repulsive pigs, you know? Josuke, Okuyasu, Yukako, they’re no good for you. Sooner or later they’d hurt you, I know it. But I, Kishibe Rohan, will always be there for me… You can always trust me, I swear.”
Koichi had a hard time swallow his saliva? Rohan was really, really scary. He stood up so tall right next to Koichi, who looked even smaller as he was sitting on the floor. The mangaka looked down at him.
“ Do you want anything before I get back to work?”
Idea, Idea, he needed an idea quick. This was his only chance to be alone, and the window was open so maybe, maybe he could escape!! He looked at Rohan timidly, trying his best to seem convincing.
“Um… I’m hungry...Can I have something to eat please sensei?”
Rohan nodded and left the room, leaving Koichi there, alone and unsupervised. Now was his chance!! Carefully, he got up and, trying to be as silent as possible, he moved his way to the window. He summoned act two and managed to sneak out; He started to run away.
And everything turned black.

Koichi’s classes ended early today. He was really happy because it meant he could have some time to himself. Of course, he loved his friends, but it felt nice to be lonely sometimes. Waving goodbye to Okuyasu and Josuke, he gave a kiss on Yukako’s cheek before slowly walking home, looking at the blossoming trees on the way. He bumped into someone and apologized profusely, before noticing it was Rohan. The taller man seemed in a good mood. He asked Koichi if he was able to come home and assist him with his work for a bit,and of course Koichi could get his alone time someday else, so he agreed. Rohan was a good friend, after all. A weird friend, but a loyal one. They walked to his villa together, chatting and laughing about anything and anything… A normal afternoon for Koichi.
And then…
As soon as they walked inside, Koichi’s memories about what had happened the day before flooded, and he had to hold on the wall not to fall back. How could he have forgotten everything that Rohan did? He had to get out. He had to get out. But as he turned to the door, he saw Rohan locking it, before turning to him with an absolutely devilish smirk.
“Oh, Koichi, my dear...You never learn, do you?”
