Chapter Text

Min Yoongi was a dangerous man. He was very well known in his field of work. Maybe his field was a tad illegal, but he was still known. He was even known outside of his field of work, almost as the face of his gang. So, how does Min Yoongi, the face of the notorious gang Bangtan Boys, end up being pushed around by a college student working two jobs?

Well, it’s a story.

The mid-evening air was always quite calming for Yoongi, it was almost a dead point in the day. People were coming home from work, and it was still light out, so most gangs couldn’t operate unless they were extremely brave. It was the perfect time for a walk, honestly. But, he had realized he had taken too long on his walk.

The moon was coming up, the cool air of the night screaming against his skin. This walk was a mistake. He was unarmed, with only his cell phone which had become dead from his music addiction and the clothes on his back. He hadn’t even taken his wallet, for an Uber or taxi.

He was completely alone, and not to mention in an unclaimed part of town. Thinking there was still time to get out, he tried to cut back to Bangtan territory through some back streets. That was his first mistake.

His last thought was regret as someone knocked him out, dragging him to somewhere. He had accepted his death.

That’s when she came in.

It was dark out. The cold crisp air of the autumn night tickled at her, turning her nose red and her fingertips cold. She had regretted not taking gloves when she left her home for the local pub. Though she hadn’t expected to be out this late, but somehow her friends had convinced her to stay out a bit longer. By the time the clock struck one, she knew she had to go home.

The street she lived on was dead most of the night, the only thing really back where her tiny apartment sat were lost cats or homeless people. But, tonight it was rather different.

There were… noises. Noises that she could only describe as painfully human. Or a human in pain. Groans of pain, snickers of others, and the disgusting sound of fists- and other weapons-  against flesh. Someone was getting beat up, and from the sounds of it, it was by multiple people.

Her gut told her to hide, so she turned to the small alleyway across the road to sprint to. She ducked behind some garbage cans, and slowly the noises of the assault stopped. Poking her head out slightly, she saw a crew of men walking out from the small bit between buildings across from her hiding spots. She didn’t recognize any of them, but when the light shined on them, she could see the blood. The chuckling coming from the group made her feel sick to her stomach.

“Leave ‘im to bleed, boys. We need to get out of here before anyone sees.” A voice calls, and the group walk towards the turn to the main road. As soon as she watches the last boy depart around the corner, she makes her move. Did they just kill a guy?

Sneaking into the alleyway, she smells blood. The scent makes her almost throw up in disgust, but something keeps her going. Specifically the sight of a man, on the ground, holding his bleeding wounds. His face is bruised up, his lip is cut, and he was stabbed and beat multiple times. His hair was dirty and matted and he had some missing. Shaky breaths escaped his lips as his eyes tried to stay open.

From the looks of it, his wounds would only kill him if left alone. And she wasn’t gonna leave someone in need alone.

With a slight grimace, she crouched down in front of the bleeding boy, and wrapped his uninjured arm around her shoulders, heaving him up. He let out a loud groan of pain, the girl carrying him grimacing. She needed to get him up to her apartment as soon as possible.

As she hauled him up the stairs towards her tiny apartment, his eyes flickered open.

Through all the pain, through all the bleeding, he saw someone trying to save him.

Then, he blacked out again.
