Multifandom One-Shots

Summary:

A collection of multi-fandom one-shots!

Notes:

I finished Voltron yesterday and HOO BOY it really tugged at my heartstrings. It contains spoilers, so beware! This isn't the best of my work, but I haven't written much about Lance and Allura, but I hope you can enjoy what I was able to write, though it is rather brief!

Chapter 1: Always

Chapter Text

Lance nonchalantly peered around the room, taking in the gang. So much had happened so quickly. Lotor turned on them, formed his own version of Voltron, but worst of all, broke Allura’s heart.

It killed him to see Allura in so much pain. The way her eyes clouded over, how she held her hands in tight fists, how her body shook at the mention of his name. Lance hated him. Allura probably had never been in love before, and the first person she fell for betrayed her in the end.

As he glanced around the room, he noticed her absence. “Hey,” he spoke to the group. “Have you guys seen Allura?”

“No,” Pidge answered. “She’s probably really upset…”

The others shook their heads as tears filled their own eyes. Lance felt compelled to go and see her, but he didn’t want to make her anymore upset than she already was. Then he remembered the pain laced in her eyes, her white knuckles, shaking frame. It was then that he promptly rose to his feet, determined to go see her.

“I’ll be back,” he answered as the others watched on.

He had just reached her room when he stopped, hearing the sobs that sounded from her room, and his heart squeezed tight in his chest. Tears filled his eyes as he placed one hand on the door. He debated if he should really go in, but her sobs grew louder and were excruciating to listen to. He raised his hand, softly knocked on the door, and slowly entered. When he stepped inside, he was met with Allura’s face, red and puffy from crying, as stray tears fell down her cheeks. She gritted her teeth, her hands clenched into fists. “Lance…”

“Allura!”

Before he could even think, he threw his arms around her and held her flush against his chest. “I’m so sorry,” he whispered into her hair, stroking it to soothe her. “Allura, I’m so sorry.”

“Lotor was the first person I ever really loved,” she admitted, her voice cracking as she spoke. “I thought he changed. I really thought he cared about my culture, but he’s been against us this whole time, taking our trust, my trust. I let him…”

“We all did. We all trusted him...don’t blame this on yourself.’

“But the most foolish thing I did was fall in love with him.”

“...I’m so sorry, Allura,” Lance answered as she sobbed into his shoulder. “But he isn’t worth your tears.” He pulled away to take her shoulders and made her meet him eye to eye. “He took advantage of you, of your kindness and the love inside of you. Anyone who tries to distort such an amazing person as you is the most horrible type of person there is.”

“Do you really mean that?”

“I do,” he answered. “Allura, you are the most amazing girl I ever met. Fearless, compassionate...there isn’t an evil bone in you. All you want to do is help people. You see the best sides of them, and give them the benefit of the doubt. Allura, no man is worthy of you.”

“Maybe...But I think you are.”

Lance’s heart skipped a beat in his chest as his eyes widened. “You...You have always been there for me, even when I pushed you away. You remind me of the good in the world.” She lifted her head and offered a small smile. “Thank you for being there for me.”

Lance hid his reddened face. “Of course. You’d do the same for me.”

She took his hand in her own and sighed. “I think this will take some time for me to get over,” she answered, “But I am okay knowing you’re with me through it all.”

Lance couldn’t help the smile that played on his own lips. “I’m always with you. Always.”
