It’s a surprise for Midoriya.
He’s just come back from a patrolling shift and is a little sleepy. He didn’t come in contact with any villains, but he did help a lost toddler find his parents again, and he helped a local businessman promote a new cat cafe. Both times he had been strongly thanked and not been sure how to take the praise.
The cat cafe part wasn’t too difficult as he considered himself more of a cat person. He even surprised his mother with a kitten he rescued because he knew she felt lonely. Ever since, his mother had sent him hundreds of photos with the fluffball and eventually featuring the appearance of another kitten who had one eye, who she promptly named “Kaizoku”. It let Midoriya’s mind rest, knowing she was no longer lonely. She had even made new human friends because of the cats!
So, you could only imagine the surprise when he sees his roommate, Kirishima, cuddled up with a golden retriever and a shiba inu in each arm respectively. The trio of them were sleeping peacefully on a massive beanbag.
Despite his love for cats, he couldn’t help but smile at the cutest dude ever, Kirishima. How could someone look so manly and yet so beautiful?
Midoriya remembered to close the door behind him and gently walked over to his room, desperately trying not to wake up Kirishima or the dogs, so he could get changed out of his hero uniform. He changes into a casual white t-shirt and cargo shorts, before stealing Kirishima’s computer to search up a how-to guide to look after dogs. He didn’t even care if those were just dogs Kirishima was baby-sitting or not, he just wanted to be useful for once. As he’s about to search, he realises something looks weird. A lot of the suggestions are a little… weird. Things like “Do dogs…” being autocompleted to “make you more attractive?”. It made Midoriya chuckle a little, but he wasn’t brave enough to look at his browser history. Not today, Satan.
He eventually finds some guides, tips and tricks on how to look after dogs and prints them off, before sticking them onto his wall with blue tack. He smiles and sneaks Kirishima’s computer back to its original place, before sneaking under the bed covers for a nap.
What he forgot was that he was still in Kirishima’s room when he fell asleep.
Kirishima wakes up from his accidental sleep and automatically begins to pet the two dogs.
He’d been planning to get his own dogs for a while, the Kirishima’s have always owned dogs, or at least dogsat for someone. He knew his roommate was more of a cat person, but he thought having a dog would bring Kirishima and Midoriya even closer than before, but romantically.
The dogs began to wake up as they noticed their human getting up and walking to the kitchen to get some food. They closely followed behind and used their puppy eye to create a weakness for Kirishima.
It worked.
With the dogs now satisfied, he decided to go to his room to collect his dirty laundry so he could clean it. It’s a bit stuffy, so he takes his shirt off and enters his room, picking up clothes from the floor. He looks up to the bed as he thinks, from the corner of his eye, there’s a huge mark on it. He does a double-take when he realises it’s Midoriya in the bed. The number one hero, Deku, sleeping peacefully, in his bed.
Without thinking, he drops the clothes to the floor and becomes red faced as he tries to leave the room without the green fluff awakening. It's too late though, he’s stirring from his sleep and opening his eyes to see a nervous, shirtless, red-faced Kirishima. With one of the dogs next to him. Before he can stop them, both the dogs jump onto his bed and begin licking Midoriya.
“I-I’m sorry, Midori-”
He’s interrupted by the cutest laugh he’s ever fucking heard, smiling and purely joyful. It’s coming from Midoriya, and my god, does it make Kirishima want to smooch the boy to death.
“It’s okay! Your bed is comfier than mine, that’s all- Oi! Stop licking me, you’ve had your turn already!” he continues to laugh as he tries to get the dogs off the bed.
“Hoshiko! Yuuna-Mio! Sit!”
Both the dogs sit up and calm themselves down, finally ending the lick war. But they restart and charge towards Kirishima, smothering him in licks whilst Midoriya laughs his ass off.
The brutal war finally comes to a true end as Midoriya stumbles upon a pack of dog treats. The dogs leave Kirishima and sit patiently in front of Midoriya. Tentatively, he places a treat on his hand and presents his hand to the one of the dogs, screwing his eyes shut and secretly hoping that they won’t bite his hand off. To his surprise, the dog gently licks the treat and takes extra care to be gentle. He opens his eyes again and anxiously feeds the other dog, letting out a sigh of relief.
Kirishima was so proud of him.

The next few weeks consisted of Kirishima teaching Midoriya how to care for a dog and walk it, grooming the dogs and giving them cuddles. It’s become part of a routine, almost like a ritual. Yuuna-Mio has the fluffy and kind qualities of a Golden Retriver, whilst Hoshiko was alert and loyal, making them perfect. Especially for training and patrols. The hero agencies were intrigued about the new use of work dogs for hero work and decided to create a new program for dog training for therapy.

Kirishima comes home one day to see Midoriya giving dogs the kisses and hugs.
“Hey, leave some kisses for me!”
Midoriya’s face flushes but he nods and presses his lips onto his cheek for a chaste kiss.
“I was joking-”
“Oh god, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to do anything-”
“It was so manly! Such courage was shown!”
“Eh?!”
“Give me another one”
For the rest of the night, the two boys cuddle up and give each other kisses.
The dogs get jealous, of course, and join in the fun of cuddles.
