“So that’s the plan, okay?” Midoriya says, talking in a whisper.
Kirishima grins. “Okay.”
“Does everyone know what to do?”
“Midoriya, you’ve explained your plans extensively,” Iida says. “I think we all understand.”
“Wait, what was I meant to do?” Kaminari says, laughing awkwardly. “I forgot.”
“Seriously?” Kirishima says. “Man, you’re thick.”
“Oh shut up.”
“I knew we should’ve asked the girls,” Sato says.
They’re more organised than us, Kouda signs, nodding his head.
Midoriya rolls his eyes at the whole scene. “Okay, maybe you’ve got a point.”
A good one.
“Do you think we should go over it one more time, just for Kaminari’s sake?” Sato asks.
“Why not?” Midoriya says, and Kirishima groans. “So Iida, you’re getting the cake and Sato’s going to ice it for us. Kaminari and Kirishima are on decorating the common room duty. Kouda, you’re taking the birthday card around the school and getting people to sign it. And I’m gonna get Asui and some of the others to help me wrap her presents. Okay?”
This time, Kaminari understands. “Okay.”
“Right,” Midoriya says, grinning. “Operation: Uraraka’s birthday party is underway!”
Uraraka awakes before her alarm to the sound of someone knocking on her bedroom door. She groans and rubs her tired eyes, but pulls herself out of bed and opens the door.
She is greeted by Midoriya, who grins and holds a huge balloon.
“Happy birthday, Ochako!” he says, giving her a kiss.
Uraraka blushes. “Deku, thank you…”
But Midoriya cuts her off, grabbing her hand and leading her into the common room. And she gasps. There are banners and balloons and presents everywhere, and the entire class is here.
She can’t believe it. This is amazing.
She throws her arms around Midoriya and hugs him.
“Thank you, Deku,” she says, kissing him softly.
