Uraraka and Midoriya stargaze and spot a shooting star.

Work Text:

Ochako has always been fascinated by space. She thinks it has something to do with her Quirk, because gravity is different in space. She used to pretend to be an astronaut, floating around her bedroom and pretending she was in space. Of course, she grew out of this, but she still loves space. She has posters of the solar system and even has a telescope at home, which she and her parents would set up in the garden on clear nights.

But she can’t do that now, not since she moved into the dorms. She took her posters and books with her, but she misses her telescope. And this explains why you can find Ochako staring out of her dorm room window on clear nights, looking up at the sky and tracking the visible constellations.

Ever since they started dating, Izuku has become privy to this information. And he finds it adorable.

“So space to you is what Heroes are to me?” he said at the time, grinning.

And one night, he joins her in her bedroom (ignoring the whistle they got from Kirishima). They sit by the window, staring out at the sky and holding hands. As she looks at Izuku, she swears she can see the moon and stars reflecting off his wide eyes.

“It’s so pretty,” Izuku says, staring at the nearly full moon. And as he blushes, he adds, “Just like you.”

Ochako blushes too. “Deku, that’s so cheesy.”

Izuku laughs. “Yeah, I guess it was— hey, what was that?”

Hoping this isn’t the arrival of a villain on campus, she looks where Izuku is pointing.

“Deku, it was a shooting star!” she says, grinning.

“Cool! Make a wish, but don’t tell me or—”

“It won’t come true,” Ochako says, and she laughs.

Izuku kisses her.
