Jungkook sighed from where he was sat on the edge of the couch, anxiously awaiting Taehyung’s return. The older was supposed to have been home almost an hour prior. And while not that long, it was worrying when one takes into consideration that Taehyung never kept his bunny waiting.
Thus the rabbit hybrid was justifiably panicky. Well maybe not so justifiably, because if he really thought about it, Jungkook had to admit that he was not normally this quick to jump to conclusions. It must have been his heat, which was only a few days away.
Now what with being a rabbit hybrid, Jungkook had gotten off pretty lucky with his preheat symptoms. Some hybrids were swamped with mass amounts of pain and arousal before their heats. This made it rather difficult for them to get rest before their heats.
Jungkook’s head suddenly snapped to the left to stare at the doorknob-which was twitching. He could hear the keys rattling outside, as his boyfriend unlocked the door. Taehyung slowly entered, not seeing Jungkook at first in the dark room. It wasn’t until he was leaning back against the wood, that he raised his eyes, and caught the light glaring off of Jungkook’s fluffy white and grey ears.
“Kookie!” Taehyung cried out in joy, before he paused in confusion. “Kookie? What are you still doing up?” He asked, toeing his shoes off, and going to sit beside the younger boy, who had yet to acknowledge his presence more then just staring.
Finally Jungkook turned his body to face Taehyung fully. And Taehyung was left reeling at the sight. Jungkooks beautiful face was now marred by a frown, and his eyes were glassy with tears. His nose-which was so fucking endearing, because it was bigger then most bunny hyrbid’s- was twitching.
But, as if that wasn’t bad enough, Taehyung felt his heart completely shatter when Jungkook lunged forward, tackling him to the couch. The hybrid buried his face in the crook of Taehyungs neck.
“Whoa, whoa, baby? What’s wrong? Can you talk to hyung?” Tae called softly into one of Jungkook’s fluffy bunny ears.
Jungkook shook his head, not wanting to admit it out loud. Even though they pair had been dating for several years now, having a few heats a year was rather embarrassing. And yes that didn’t make logical sense. Seeing as Taehyung had always been nothing but loving and supportive. But still, he had hormones and all that.
Speaking of, Taehyung had nuzzled his nose into Jungkook’s scalp, right between the bases of his ears. And when he breathed in through his nose it all made sense.
“Jungkookie? Bun, are you expecting your heat soon?” Tae questioned, and could feel how the younger tensed against him. Bingo.
“Baby bun…we’ve talked about this haven’t we?” He chided the younger lightly. Jungkook sighed and nodded, knowing that Tae wanted him to answer.
“Yes hyung.” Jungkook murmured after a moment. He could feel Taehyungs lips twitch into a smile against his forehead, and the feeling unraveled the tension in his body. Made warmth blossom somewhere under his ribs.
“Good boy. Now, how many days have you been feeling like this?” Taehyung asked. But Jungkook could hear the underling question. ‘How many days do I have to prepare for your heat?’
“Two…maybe three…days.” The hybrid muttered, wincing at how he felt Taehyung tense.
“Bunny, baby bun,” Taehyung cooed. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Jungkook didn’t answer for a while, at least a few minutes. After waiting a little bit longer, Taehyung sighed and sat up, cuddling Jungkook to his chest.
“Did you already eat?” Tae asked, only getting a nod in response.
After few moments Taehyung stood, brushing off Jungkook’s whine. He lifted the younger up, Jungkook wrapping his legs around Tae’s waist.
“Lets go to bed for the night. We can start prepping tomorrow.”
