Summary
When Jimin is six years old, he realizes he has no string.
His parents, unlike most, wear them wrapped around their necks, intertwining whenever they get close enough and unraveling when they’re apart. His mother tells him that one day when he’s older he’ll meet the one, a single person that is supposed to complete him in every way he never knew he needed. She tells him that it’ll almost be as if he had a tiny magnet inside of him, pulling him towards his opposite side until they smack! and come together. To Jimin, it sounds a little painful. But his mom and dad seem like the happiest couple in the world, so it probably isn’t that bad.
