Work Text:
After paying for dinner, Hoseok and Yoongi waited outside the little restaurant. With Autumn taking a hold of the weather, both were dressed warmly in sweaters and jackets. The sun setting earlier and earlier so it was already past sunset. Though it wasn't cold enough to start snowing, it surely could rain. As they were about to leave it started to sprinkle, the couple making the mistake of walking to the restaurant in an attempt to be more romantic.
Hoseok huffed, puffing out his cheeks in a pout as he held his hand out into the light rain. Neither had brought an umbrella. However, Yoongi marvelled in the rain, jumping out of the safety of the restaurant and into a forming puddle. With a large coat thrown over his shoulder, a blue hat on top of his head, little gloves Yoongi spread out his arms wide, spinning around like a child. He turned to Hoseok with a huge gummy smile, slightly tinted cheeks from the cold just added to the already adorable scene.
"Hobi Hobi, it's raining!" he giggled.
"Don't get too wet, you'll catch a cold," Hoseok called after him, a little behind with a bitter expression from the cold and rain.
"Brighten up a little, baby. Before you know it, it'll be snowing!" Yoongi whined.
"Mmhmm..."
Watching Yoongi splash around with childish glee quickly broke Hoseok into giggles and laughter. Dropping his irritated attitude to the weather he ran forward jumping into a puddle a little ahead of Yoongi. It soaked straight through his shoes and wet his and Yoongi's pant legs a bit. Yoongi beamed, jumping into another puddle.
It was raining much harder now and Hoseok's shoulders and hair were soaked, his ears a little cold. He regretted not wearing a hat but the thought was immediately pushed away after Yoongi started giggling and slipped his hand into Hoseok's. They splashed around the sidewalks with no one to judge. Soaked and cold but happy.
At one point Hoseok picked the boy up and spun him around before bringing him into a kiss. He swore every time he kissed Yoongi it was like the first. Meaningful, soft, wonderful, just everything. Everyday Yoongi never failed to make him feel like a clumsy, lovestruck teenager. The feelings of butterflies in his tummy as they held hands, kissed, watch movies, seemingly everything filled him with happiness.
Hoseok loved the feeling of Yoongi's soft lips against his. It started off innocent and pure, Yoongi ended up slipping in a little tongue, being cheeky. Both boys soaking but had huge grins, walking up to the college. Trailing in water down the hall into the elevator and back into their shared dorm. During the way they gained a few concerned looks from other students, but paid no attention, holding hands and giggling with childish love.
"We should take a warm bath so we don't catch a cold," Hoseok warned.
"I'll run it!" Yoongi bounded off a little ahead to fumble with the keycard to the dorm.
In the dorm, they shed their wet clothes, Yoongi went off to run a bath to warm the two up. Once sitting a little cramped inside, Yoongi between Hoseok's legs, the cuddled a little closer. Hoseok's head rested on his shoulder, Yoongi leaned into his chest with a content smile.
"So what did you think of dinner?" Hoseok asked.
"It was cute, a really enjoyed the food," Yoongi pondered over the night, "Let's go there again sometime if it's okay with you. How'd you like it?"
"I think it was pretty good too, I wouldn't mind going again," Hoseok smiled, "Though, I wish we could've gotten a couple discount..."
The two sighed. It was well known South Korea was not the most favourable in gay rights, so most of the time Yoongi and Hoseok hid their relationship. Coming off as close friends to some, others catching small hints but not bringing it up.
"Maybe one day," Yoongi sighed softly, holding Hoseok's hand with a small squeeze.
"One day," Hoseok echoed returning the squeeze.
The two washed up, messing around a bit before drying off and draining the bath. Both boys with fluffy towels around their waists shared another quick kiss before dressing in pyjamas.
Yoongi in a light blue and white striped oversized shirt and boxers, Hoseok in sweatpants and a plain white shirt. Cuddling up close into the bed, Yoongi tangling his legs with Hoseok, enjoying his clean, soapy scent. Hoseok ruffled his boyfriend's hair, hugging him close.
Through his eyelashes, Yoongi admired his boyfriend's face; admiring all the freckles, pretty features, his pretty eyes and nose, his sweet, little smile, all of it. Yoongi loved it all so much. Hoseok smiled sweetly down back at the boy with a dopey grin across his face. Yoongi truly was the world's cutest boy. Well, the admiring suddenly became interrupted. Yoongi sneezed, loudly and forcefully. Jumping, Hoseok fell backwards off the bed wide-eyed and alert.
"Oh my Jesus Christ," Hoseok gasped. "That was a powerful sneeze."
Yoongi couldn't help but giggle, "Sorry, babe."
"So much for not catching colds."
"Ah, it was only one sneeze, I'll be fine. Let's just get to bed, 'm tired."
Hoseok climbed back into the bed, cuddling back up close and hoped for no more sneezes.
"Night, Hobi Hobi."
"Night, Yoons."
Next morning both boys woke up with colds.
