Chapter Text
Kirishima Eijirou, also known as Little Red Riot Hood, had a mission. He had to deliver his basket of goodies to All Might, as instructed by Aizawa. He looked down at the basket in his hands, recalling their conversation a few hours ago.
“Kirishima, I need you to deliver these to All Might,” Aizawa said. “You’ll have to go through the woods, so just follow the path so you don’t get lost.”
“Sure thing, Mom!” Kirishima said, eagerly taking the basket from Aizawa’s hands.
“I’m not your mother,” Aizawa said, before zipping up his sleeping bag all the way and falling asleep.
Kirishima looked back up, realizing that he had come to a fork in the path. Aizawa hadn’t warned him about this! Kirishima examined the paths carefully. The one on the left was more tame, and was lined with small flowers. The one on the right was covered with rocks and brambles, and seemed to stretch towards the heart of the forest. In fact, Kirishima wasn’t even sure it was a path. However, Aizawa had told him to stay on the path, and Kirishima didn’t want to accidentally choose the wrong one. So naturally, he chose neither of the paths and decided to walk straight forward. After all, the old path was sure to turn up again if he continued in its direction, right?
Within an hour, Kirishima was hopelessly lost.
He looked around for the 100th time, turning his head in every direction to see if he could mark something familiar about his surroundings. He sighed in exasperation.
“The trees all look the same,” he complained to himself.
“You’re in a forest, dumbass. What did you expect?”
Kirishima yelped, throwing his basket at the voice out of instinct. He heard a soft thud, paired with an indignant growl.
“What the fuck?”
A boy stepped out from the shadows, glaring at Kirishima murderously while holding his basket.
“Oh, sorry, man! You really scared me there!” Kirishima laughed, taking the basket and making sure its contents were still intact.
“What are you even doing in the middle of the fucking woods, dumbass? Are you trying to get yourself killed?” the boy said angrily.
Kirishima frowned in confusion. “But you’re here, too…”
He then noticed the ears poking out from the boy’s spiky blond hair. A fluffy tail poked out of the boy’s jeans. He was also shirtless, so Kirishima couldn’t help but admire his lean, muscular form. Wait, was he a…
“Are you a dog?” Kirishima asked excitedly.
The boy--dog?--bristled angrily, a growl rumbling in his throat.
“I’m a wolf, shithead!”
“Ohhhh!” Kirishima exclaimed. “That makes more sense!”
The wolf “tched,” though his growl subsided slightly. He continued to stare Kirishima down. Suddenly, Kirishima felt self conscious. His dress was wrinkled and dirty from walking in the forest, and his hair was starting to lose its spikes. He probably looked so uncool right now!
“What are you still doing here?” the wolf asked impatiently. “Hurry up and get out.”
“Out of where?”
“The forest, dumbass! Where else?” the wolf snapped.
“I can’t. I have to deliver these goodies to Gran--All Might!” Kirishima said, proudly gesturing to the basket on his arm.
The wolf narrowed his eyes at the basket, hungrily examining its contents before snapping his gaze back to Kirishima.
“Go and deliver your dumb treats then, I don’t care. Just get out of my territory.”
“Okay!” Kirishima said brightly, though he was slightly disappointed he wouldn’t be able to spend more time with the mysterious wolf.
He brushed some of the dirt off of his dress, before meeting the wolf’s hostile stare.
“Can I at least have your name before I go? In case we run into each other again!”
“That’s not gonna happen, Shitty Hair,” the wolf said, starting to walk into the trees. However, before he disappeared into the shadows, he stopped and mumbled, “It’s Bakugou.”
Kirishima beamed at him.
“Thanks, Bakugou! You can call me Kirishima!” he shouted at the retreating figure.
“Whatever. It’s not like we’re going to see each other again, so it doesn’t matter,” Bakugou said, throwing one last glare at Kirishima before walking off into the depths of the forest.
Kirishima smiled to himself. What a cool guy!
After walking for a while longer, Kirishima somehow managed to find a path again despite his utter lack of navigation skills. He followed the path for what seemed like hours. Finally, just as the sun was beginning to dip below the tops of the trees, Kirishima arrived at All Might’s house, his feet aching in relief.
Kirishima hurried to the door, knocking excitedly. There was no answer. Perhaps All Might was asleep? He tried the knob of the door, and found that it was unlocked. He walked inside, figuring he could just set the goodies on the table or something. Kirishima wandered around the house for a bit, curiosity taking over. The house was decorated simply, though the ground and furniture were lined with furs. Kirishima continued to walk around, admiring All Might’s cozy home. Suddenly, he came across a closed door. He could hear soft snoring on the other side. Ah, so All Might was sleeping! Kirishima opened the door softly, not wanting to disturb All Might’s slumber. He walked over to the nightstand beside the large bed, and gently placed the basket there. He looked over at All Might’s sleeping form. He seemed smaller than in the pictures. His hair was also a much lighter shade of blond. Kirishima figured it was just the lighting. Then, All Might shifted, and turned so that he was facing Kirishima. Huh, that was weird, All Might looked just like the wolf Kirishima met in the forest--wait.
“You’re not All Might!!” Kirishima shouted.
Bakugou jolted out of his sleep, flailing wildly. He stared at Kirishima in shock, before his gaze turned murderous. He lunged at Kirishima, who jumped back, bumping into the nightstand. One of Bakugou’s legs got tangled in the sheets, and he stumbled, grabbing Kirishima for balance. Kirishima tripped and fell, Bakugou crashing down on top of him.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Bakugou growled, pinning Kirishima to the ground, one hand at his throat.
“What are you doing here?” Kirishima shouted back. “What did you do to All Might?”
“What the hell are you talking about? Who the fuck is All Might?”
“The person I was delivering these goodies to--wait!” Kirishima gasped. “I told you about me delivering these to All Might...so you broke into his house to get them instead?!”
Bakugou’s rage transformed into utter confusion.
“Shitty Hair...I fucking live here.”
Kirishima stared at the wolf above him, equally confused.
“You and All Might are roommates?”
“What? No, dumbass! This is my house. I don’t even know who All Might is,” Bakugou said, looking at Kirishima like he was an idiot.
Kirishima suddenly realized how close their faces were. He could feel the weight of Bakugou’s body on his own, and he felt his face grow warm. Bakugou’s eyes pierced into Kirishima’s, waiting for a response. Without thinking, he said the first thing on his mind.
“My...what manly eyes you have.”
Bakugou froze, though his tail twitched in surprise.
“What the fuck?” he shouted, his face turning red to match Kirishima’s own.
“Sorry man! I just noticed, because your face was so close, and I really like the color red, so I just thought, and may I just say that’s a lovely shade of red you’ve got there, not that I mean anything by it--”
“Just shut up already!!” Bakugou yelled, cutting off Kirishima’s rambling.
He rolled off Kirishima, turning his face away so Kirishima couldn’t see his expression.
“Just leave my fucking house already,” Bakugou growled.
“What? But it’s dark outside! I can’t even see the path!” Kirishima protested.
“That’s not my problem, Hair for Brains! You broke into my goddamn house! Get out!!”
Kirishima frowned. Bakugou did have kind of a point...but it wasn’t Kirishima’s fault that he accidentally broke into his house! He thought it was All Might’s house! Though that didn’t change the fact that he still broke in…
“Sorry, Bakugou,” Kirishima said guiltily.
He picked up his basket and straightened his dress, watching Bakugou’s eyes widen slightly in surprise. Kirishima walked towards the front door, preparing to leave. Walking alone through the woods in the dark was pretty manly wasn’t it? Even still, Kirishima really wasn’t looking forward to doing it.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Bakugou asked suddenly.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Kirishima asked. “I’m leaving.”
“No you’re not,” Bakugou said, his scowl deepening. “You can’t even find your way around the woods in the fucking daylight, there’s no way in hell you’re going to be able to get anywhere in the dark. Are you an idiot?”
Kirishima grinned at the wolf, who just rolled his eyes in response.
“So I can stay the night?” he asked hopefully.
“What the fuck did I just say, dumbass?”
“Thanks, man!” Kirishima said happily.
Bakugou didn’t respond. Instead he walked away, and gestured for Kirishima to follow. Soon, they reached the kitchen, and Bakugou started pulling out cooking implements and ingredients.
“When was the last time you ate?” Bakugou asked, throwing Kirishima a glance over his shoulder.
“Oh, it’s fine man, I’m not that hungry,” Kirishima said, but his stomach betrayed him and let out a loud rumble.
“Idiot,” Bakugou muttered, and turned back to his cooking.
Kirishima sat quietly for a few minutes, content to just watch Bakugou cook. His tail occasionally would swish back and forth, which Kirishima found fascinating.
“If you’re a wolf, why do you need to cook?” Kirishima asked suddenly.
“Because I’m not an uncivilized shit,” Bakugou said sharply.
Kirishima hummed, more or less satisfied with the response. Then, another question came to his mind.
“Bakugou, I just realized! I’ve seen pictures of wolves before, but you don’t really look like any of the ones I’ve seen. You could pass off more easily as a human…”
Bakugou paused for a moment, clearly caught off guard.
He responded, not looking away from his cooking, “That’s because I am human.”
Kirishima made a noise of surprise, so Bakugou elaborated, “Some shitty witch got mad at me for telling her to fuck off, so she decided to pull this fucking crap on me. She escaped before I could beat the living shit out of her, so I’ve been like this ever since.”
“Oh, I see,” Kirishima said, “That sucks, bro.”
“Whatever,” Bakugou grumbled. “As if I need any more fucking pity.”
“I don’t pity you! I think it makes you look badass!” Kirishima grinned, pumping his fist in the air for emphasis.
Bakugou finally turned to look at Kirishima, his expression unreadable. Then it morphed into a smirk, his red eyes flashing.
“Damn right it does.”
A few minutes later, dinner was ready. Bakugou placed a plate in front of Kirishima, before joining him at the table. Kirishima dug in greedily, starving from the long walk through the woods. Bakugou watched him scarf down his food with mild interest.
“Why are your teeth so fucken pointy?” he asked.
“I dunno,” Kirishima said through a mouthful of food. “But they make me look pretty manly, so I like it!”
Bakugou scoffed at that. “If you’re trying to look manly, then why wear the dress?”
Kirishima looked down at his dress, which was still grimy from the woods.
“This one’s my favorite, though! It’s red, which is the manliest color there is!”
Bakugou raised an eyebrow.
“Also,” Kirishima continued, “it’s needed for storyline purposes.”
“What the fuck’s that supposed to mean?”
