“Um… Uraraka?” Midoriya says.
Uraraka looks up from her manga, finding Midoriya stood in front of her. He rubs his hands together, his cheeks slightly flushed, but his smile is lovely.
“Oh, hi, Midoriya,” she says. “Is there something I can do for you?”
There are several other students in the common room, and Uraraka is suddenly conscious that people are watching her and Midoriya. Her face heats up.
“Um… can we talk about something? You know, in private?”
“Uh, sure thing, Deku,” Uraraka says, standing up.
She walks with Midoriya out of the common room, determined to ignore the stares from her classmates. They walk through the dorms, Midoriya eventually stopping outside his own room.
“Would you like to come in?”
Uraraka nods, wishing she would stop blushing. But she follows Midoriya into his dorm room, a room she and Iida have visited many times, but it seems so much more awkward to be here with just Deku.
“Sorry if this is awkward,” Midoriya says. He sits down on his bed, and starts bouncing his leg. “I just really wanna tell you something. You can sit down if you want.”
“Oh, thanks,” she says, sitting on the bed about two feet away from Midoriya. “So, what is it?”
“Um…” he bounces both his legs up and down, staring at the floor. “Um… Uraraka… Ochako… would you like to go out with me?”
Uraraka stares at him. Just stares at him. Did… did Deku really just say that?
“Deku?”
He looks up, face so flushed even his ears are red, legs still bouncing. “Y-Yeah?”
She smiles, reaching for his hand. And, grasping Midoriya’s hand and interlocking their fingers, she says, “I’d love to go out with you.”
“Really?” Midoriya says, eyes widening.
Uraraka nods, squeezing his hand. “Yeah, really.”
And as Midoriya starts laughing from relief or happiness (she can’t tell which), Uraraka gives him a hug.

Two days ago, Deku asked her out. And Uraraka still can’t quite believe she is actually dating Midoriya Izuku, the boy she has had a crush on since the moment they met, the boy who is so strong and cute and brave, and the boy who has a crush on her in return. It’s just so amazing.
Today, they sit in an empty classroom at school, eating their bento and drinking water. Uraraka watches Midoriya eat, still amazed that they are dating. He’s just so wonderful. He sees her staring several times, but doesn’t say anything.
Once they have finished eating, Midoriya says, “Is something on your mind, Ochako?”
Hearing Midoriya use her given name makes her blush, and Uraraka ducks her head. There is so much she could say to Midoriya, the boy she loves and admires so much, but it would take an eternity to say it all.
So instead she simply says, “Can I kiss you?”
Midoriya gasps slightly, and she hopes she hasn’t made a mistake. But then he says, “Um… yeah, of course you can.”
Smiling, Uraraka leans closer to her boyfriend. She’s a bit embarrassed to admit she’s never kissed anyone before, so she doesn’t really know what to do. So it is hesitant and slow and awkward as she presses her lips to Midoriya’s. They bump noses at least once, but the kiss is still perfect.
And although it lasts less than ten seconds, it feels like it lasted forever.
