Summary
(AU based on the movie TiMER. A timer is a digital clock on your wrist that counts down the time until you meet your soulmate. Every once in a while, mostly when he can’t sleep, Louis lets himself lie in bed and think about his One. She’s always backlit like aliens are when they come off the spaceship for the first time; Louis supposes this is because he can’t imagine her being real and out there and living her life—it seems likelier that she’d drop in out of the sky. Sometimes he can catch the curve of her jaw, the edge of a smile. The closest he’s got to really picturing her is thinking that she’d have to be a little like Harry, transparent the way Harry is, seeing him with big clear eyes the way Harry does. Someone who can fill him up the same way.
He doesn’t think about her often.
