Chapter Text
The second year class room was silent with the exception of charcoal scratching on notebook paper and the teachers monotone words explaining the advanced math problem to his students which seem to understand the concept for the most part.
The cracking of a pencil tip and string of curses went unheard by the the class as the boy quickly reached into his bag to search for another writing utensil that was acceptable to use for mathematics. In easier words he was looking for another pencil because the sharpener was way too loud and would attract attention. Also it made his pencil shorter and never sharpened correctly.
Unfortunately he was met with only pens and highlighters used mostly for different subjects. He had probably forgotten to put back his pencils after finishing his homework last night.
He was slowly slipping into panic mode. He greatly disliked using pen for any math related work or notes and none of his friend were sitting close enough to him that he would be able to ask to borrow one without disrupting the class.
As he was about to give in to the pen lord and use a pen for the rest of the lesson the heavens decided to reward him by the female in front of him leaning back into her chair almost resting her head on his desk. He was able to see a couple of mechanical pencils resting on the side of her desk. Which he found odd considering she held a (f/c) pen in her hand chewing at the end of it.
Lightly tapping her head to catch her attention she turned her head slightly to face him in a one eyed view. “Yeah?” She asked him in board tone.
“Can I borrow a pencil?” he asked her quietly only loud enough for her to hear.
Nodding her head she reached for one of her pencils lying on her desk handing it to him. “Thanks.” He responded to her action with a smile before she turned around.
With a pencil in his hand he continued to write what was written on the board and pay attention to the instructions the teacher spoke. Though he was once again interrupted when the teacher addressed the girl sitting in front of him. “(l/n)-san wake up this is a math class not nap time.” He spoke to the girl which only started to snored in response.
“Kawakami-san can you please wake her.” His teacher requested him which he obligated slowly shaking the girl awake. After a few slight shakes she gave out a very unattractive groan in response to his actions.
“(l/n)-san were in the middle of a math lesson.” He explained to the newly awaken female. Her head shot up at the mention of the excruciating subject which seem to put her to sleep in the matter of minutes between there exchange of words.
“Oh...thanks.” she whispered to him completely oblivious to all the eyes fixed on her but she came to notice it when the teacher decided to give her some advice before returning to the lesson.
“You should get your snoring looked at, it was a bit loud” He said before returning to the lesson. At his words her face bursted into flames completely embarrassed that she were caught sleeping in class once again.
Though the dark cloud that slowly started to loom over you cleared up as a folded piece of paper came from behind and landed softly on your desk. Unfolding it you gave a sigh of relief as you read the context on the note.
‘You don’t really snore much I didn't even notice you were asleep.’ It read.
Turning around slightly you were meet with a smile from the plumped cheek boy sitting behind you. You quietly thanked him for the second time that day, well trying to thank him.
“Thanks...um…”
“Kawakami Norifumi.” He helped you giving a slight chuckle.
“Thanks Nori.” You finished flashing him a smile before you turned around catching a glimpse of his pink dusted cheeks. Even though the pink was far too real you're mind pushed it back to a simple play in the mind.
He was probably too good of a person to ever associate himself with a person as low as you. Though the world loves to bring surprises at the most unexpected times - right?
