Summary
Namjoon is a man who has one goal in mind: survive. Since he was a kid, it was his only goal. Now that goal not only included himself but five other boys who he only wants the best for and will do anything to make sure they are happy and safe.
Jin has it all. He's the son of one of the wealthiest families in Korea and will stop at nothing to make sure the poor in his city are brought out of the slums. When he sees Namjoon for the first time he is immediately struck by not only his handsomeness but also his intelligence. He wants to make sure Namjoon becomes successful in life and offers to help him.
When Namjoon realizes Jin's advances on him he wants to reject him but the money Jin gives him as gifts are enough to not only pay for the rent that he is struggling to pay for, but the music school Jimin wants to go to and the prom tickets Taehyung and Jungkook want and perhaps a new pair of shoes he, as Jin so calls it, "desperately needs."
Sometimes to get what you want you need to sacrifice something and in Namjoon's case: it's love.
