MUSUTAFU, Tokyo – Downtown traffic was rocked by a surprise villain attack as pedestrians looked on with alarm when three villains entered Mizuho Bank and locked themselves and patrons inside. Their intention to rob the establishment was clear to outside civilians who were quick to call the Musutafu Police Force who alerted nearby hero agencies.
A-ko, one of the hostages who wishes to remain anonymous, reported that the villains demands were “unoriginal” but “still rather scary.”
“It looked like one of them had a storm quirk,” A-ko described in her interview. “The ceiling was full of clouds and there was a rumbling like thunder so it was hard to hear their demands. The other two just had guns but they kept waving them around everywhere like, “Nobody move or we’ll shoot!” and, “Give us the money or else!” It was scary but that’s not really original, is it?”

Five minutes after the bank was invaded, civilians were relieved to see hero Ground Zero arrive on the scene. Despite being known for his brash actions, he was quick to take control and ordered those on the scene to back away from the front of the bank in the event of a firefight. Another anonymous witness reported his impression of the hero’s arrival.
“I think he must have flown in or something,” B-rou said. “He was just suddenly there in front and pushing everyone back. I always thought he was rude on TV and stuff but he was super calm and made sure we all knew we’d be safe. He’s definitely got my vote for next month!”
Outside witnesses report Ground Zero checking the perimeter of the building before jumping on the roof and entering the building that way. He was next seen inside, having surprised the villains and stunned the gun holding ones with several blasts.
Barely a minute later, hero Deku arrived on the scene and pulled open the doors of the bank to start evacuating hostages while Ground Zero continued to work on containing the lone villain.

Onlookers described Deku tying up the two incapacitated villains and bringing them outside as well for police who were arriving at the scene. He started to join in the fight too once all the hostages were evacuated when an explosion inside the bank occurred and started to collapse the building.
“I thought my heart was gonna stop,” C-rou described. “I was standing a little bit away from the doors when we all heard a loud boom. I thought it was one of Ground Zero’s explosions but then the bank was coming down with him and Deku still in there. Parts of it started falling towards the crowd but Deku came out of nowhere and kicked them away!”
Deku was said to have been dragging out both Ground Zero and the last villain from the bank when he came to the civilians rescue. Several witnesses said that the two heroes seemed to be having a heated discussion as they presented the villains to the police before giving their statement and leaving.
Three civilians were brought to the local hospital to treat minor injuries related to the explosion and are expected to be released soon. Both Ground Zero’s and Deku’s agencies have yet to comment on the attack or the bank’s restoration.
Update:
All civilians injured in the attack have been released from the hospital and are expected to make a full recovery. A statement issued by the police claims no fatalities have occurred due to the attack. The villains are currently in custody and their identities and motivations are being investigated.
The police are also investigating what caused the explosion and will issue statements as they know more.

“Thanks for your hard work, you two,” one of the police officers said, giving Deku and Katsuki a smile as she closed up her notebook. “I think I’ve got all I need for now but we’ll be in touch if something else comes up.”
Deku grinned and nodded, watching as she ducked under the caution tape to join the rest of her team. “I guess that means we can go back now too,” he said and looked up at Katsuki. His smile faded some at seeing the glare he was getting and his brow furrowed in response. “Kacchan?”
“Save it.” Katsuki was scowling as he looked at the other. Deku was leaning more on his left side than his right which only meant… “You still haven’t gotten your leg looked at have you?”
Suddenly, everywhere else seemed to grab Deku’s attention and he rubbed the back of his head nervously. He’d started to try and shuffle his feet too but it made him wince so he went back to favoring his left leg. “It’s not a big deal, Kacchan. I was still able to get here okay and that’s what matters.”
“Bullshit.”
They’d been on location further away in the city when the call came out of another attack. Deku had gotten his leg caught by a villain with arms like steel jaws who probably would have tried to tear it off had Deku’s other leg not come around to kick them off. The damage was still done and Katsuki had told him to stay and wait for a paramedic to look him over while he took care of this attack. A fat lot of good that did him now!
“You just wanting to be a glory hog?” he asked, glaring even harder at Deku’s sheepish expression and darting eyes. “You’re going to a doctor and you’re going now.”
“But what about the other people around? We should make sure they’re okay- Kacchan!”
Deku had yelped when he was lifted up and squirmed some as Katsuki started carrying him away. “Kacchan, I can walk. You don’t have to carry me!”
“Apparently I do. Apparently I have to keep you in sight at all times or else you’ll throw yourself into another stupid fight!” Katsuki ground his teeth as he walked and ignored the cell phones being pointed their way as he walked off. Whether they were reporters or just civilians, they could fuck off.
“Deku, hey Deku!”
Deku, the bastard, just started struggling even more as he twisted himself around to see who was calling for him. “Kacchan, wait!” For some ungodly reason he couldn’t even explain to himself, Katsuki stopped and turned them around, looking down as he saw a girl looking at the two of them with wide eyes.
“Uh…I… Thank you for rescuing me!” she blurted out and bowed as best she could while being supported by her crutches. Katsuki now saw that she had her leg in a cast and his scowl lightened up just a touch. Maybe she was someone Deku helped out of the bank?
“It’s no problem,” Deku said and gave her a big smile. He pinched Katsuki’s arm and squirmed free of his hold to standing. His smile twitched a bit as he felt a warning hand go on his shoulder but he didn’t make a break for it. “How are you feeling? If your ears are ringing from the explosion, make sure to let the paramedics know so they can check you over.”
The girl was nodding so quickly it looked like her head might fly off. “Um I- Or I guess-” Her cheeks grew pink as she offered a pen to Deku. “Can I have your autograph? Please?”
A bright grin came over Deku’s face and he accepted the pen with his own nod. “Sure. I can sign your cast if you want?” She started nodding at near supersonic speeds again as he knelt down and found room on her cast to sign his name and a get well message. “Do you want to take a picture together too?”
Katsuki had to stop himself from groaning aloud and settled for glaring hard at the back of Deku’s head as he stood up and posed with her for a selfie. Deciding to stop this before she burst into tears, he hefted up Deku again and started jogging away. He didn’t want anyone else to come over like they’d been inching to.
“Kacchan!” Deku was frowning up at him before he winced again as his leg was jostled. He sighed in relief as Katsuki slowed to a walk again but now he had his arms crossed over his chest and was looking away. “I can walk, you know.”
“No you can’t and I’m not letting you slow us down because you want to be stubborn,” Katsuki shot back. Deku still wasn’t looking at him and he scowled again. “Oi.” Deku started to wriggle some again and he growled in frustration before getting an idea. Leaning in, he brushed their cheeks together and murmured, “Just behave until I get you to a doctor, Izuku.”
Deku’s cheeks lit up almost as bright as festival fireworks and his lips parted though no words came out. Satisfied by this reaction and the fact that he was no longer wiggling, Katsuki lengthened his strides without breaking into a jog. If the private clinic near his agency wondered why he was smirking when delivering a still red faced Deku to be looked at, he left it up to them to decide what had happened.

“Kacchan, look! That girl from before is doing okay.”
Katsuki ignored the phone being waved in his direction and kept his eyes on his book. “Didn’t the doctor give you some pain meds to knock you out at least?” He didn’t even have to look to know he was being pouted at. “Stop that.”
Deku slid himself closer on the bed until his head was in front of Katsuki’s book and the pout was in his face. He probably would have kept it up too had Katsuki not pushed his head away, making Deku laugh. The dork.
“Hey, Kacchan.”
Why did he bother even trying to read at all? He should just dump all his books in the trash if this was how it was going to be. “Nn?”
Deku laced their fingers together and leaned on his arm. “Kacchan, call me by my name again?”
“Hah?” Katsuki finally did look over at him and scowled, his expression not even twitching when he saw the sweet smile he was being given. “Deku. That’s your name. Happy?” The smile just grew into a grin so he scowled even harder to try and get him to drop it.
Deku just kept on smiling away as he squeezed Katsuki’s hand. “Please? Please call me by my name?” he asked and leaned in to nuzzle his nose against Katsuki’s cheek. Lowering his voice, he murmured, “Please, Katsuki?”
It was only by their hands still being joined together that Katsuki didn’t launch himself or Deku out of the bed. Cheeks flaming hot, he growled and flicked Deku on the nose, causing him to laugh again. “Shut up. Go to bed, you little shit.”
Still looking entirely too cheeky, Deku pressed a quick kiss to his lips before he was laboriously getting under the covers, the cast making it difficult for him to move his leg. “Alright, alright. Goodnight…Katsuki.”
Katsuki dropped his book on Deku’s face and his too fast beating heart swelled a bit in victory at getting a protesting whine. “I told you to shut up.”
Grabbing his book, he rolled over to put it on the bedside table and flicked the light off. Deku’s annoyed noises eventually disappeared and were replaced with slow breathing. Taking that as a sign the coast was clear, Katsuki scooted closer and wrapped an arm around Deku’s waist to pull him in. It wasn’t comfortable with Deku laying on his back and his arm pressing against Katsuki’s chest but he hardly cared about that right now.
Burying his face into unruly green hair, he breathed in and out, starting to match their breaths together as his hand moved to cup over Deku’s chest. “Goodnight, Izuku,” he mumbled, letting the heartbeat metronome calm him. He didn’t fight sleep but his position stayed still, guarding over them both so all bad dreams stayed away.
