My first fanfic. I actually really like writing so I might as well pick up a new hobby! (-2020)
Please be warned this story does involve quite a few triggering topics, which will be stated per each chapter. The first few chaps are so devastatingly cringe, and please be aware this entire book is like a progress of my writing throughout the past two years!

"Midoriya." Aizawa cut in, and he kneels down, leg fully recovered thanks to Eri's quirk. He presses a calloused fist to the younger man's chest, as he had all those years ago, and watches the boy start to tremble, just like when he was 16. "It's okay. To feel lonely, I mean. This isn't the kind of life you wanted."
"It's the life I was dealt with." Midoriya whispered. Aizawa offered his other hand to the grenette, and without hesitation, the young man grabbed on to it. "I should be happy my friends are succeeding, shouldn't I? What kind of hero would I have even been if I can't support them?"
"An amazing one. You are an amazing hero, Problem Child. You deserve to be up there with the rest of them, and I know it's not fair, that you gave it your all and you still didn't get what you deserve, but you are a hero to all of us. I am only alive because of you, kid."
"I know." Izuku nods shakily, clutching on to Aizawa's hand with a desperation. The only anchor to a drowning survivor.
"But it doesn't feel like it.

Summary
Snot drips from his nose. He wipes his face into a tissue, flicking it into the growing pile in the bottom of the trash can. He pokes at his rice, stomach grumbling and yet refusing to accept any new offerings.
His classmates weren’t happy that he wanted to eat in his room, but everyone’s been really nice about giving him space. Even Tenya and Shouto, though uneasy, let him go upstairs alone. He looks up at the closed curtains, and wonders if someone is waiting on the roof or one of the balconies to make sure he doesn’t make a break for it.
Izuku brings a small bite of rice to his lips. He chews slowly, and swallows it down with water. He waits over the trash can, but it doesn’t come back up. Slowly, painstakingly, he eats his entire meal like this, leaving his room twice to refill his glass in the bathroom sink down the hall.
or: izuku get sick, but it's really no reason to worry!

His matter-of-fact words don't seem to comfort the boy as he watches Midoriya nervously chew on the inside of his cheek.
Tenya tried again, "my parents always said it is good to go to others when you need help and-"
"Can I just stay in here with you tonight?" Midoriya blurts out, interrupting his sure-to-be inspirational speech.

Summary
When Izuku bows with a wide smile and diploma in hand, Toshinori’s heart swells with pride. Izuku had come so far from the small, trembling middle schooler he had met. He was growing to be- no, he is a strong young man that fills the room with joy just from his presence. He is the shining symbol of hope and love. He is his son.
Toshinori finds himself blinking back tears at the thought. Maybe not in blood, no, but in all things that count Midoriya Izuku is his son.
Graduation is an emotional time for everyone, but at least one Yagi Toshinori can call himself a dad. Written for NWA fic fight!
