Kōtaishi Edogawa Ranpo is the crown prince, sneaking sweets in court and refusing formalities. Samurai Fukuzawa, as his sworn bodyguard, is there to make sure Ranpo’s eccentricities don't get him killed. At court, Ranpo runs his mouth (as per usual) and pisses off the wrong noble. So Fukuzawa hauls him into a corridor to discipline him—an approach that ends up… less effective than intended.
