Shika and the fallen sun

Summary:

“Only Gojo Satoru possessed the power to extinguish the light of the sun forever.”

Athena Subarashi believes the sun has fallen.
Eight years ago, she turned her back on her homeland and on everything it had taken from her. Now, the former jujutsu sorcerer stands once more before the old gates of her school, determined to settle her last remaining affairs in Japan and leave for good. But the gods have other plans.
Corpses branded with ancient sigils. A voice that calls her name in empty streets. A sun that slowly begins to disappear from the sky. Each omen is a thread, and each thread leads Athena back through the places she swore never to revisit, toward the final secret Japan has kept buried.
But the riddles before her are not bound to life and death alone. Every answer she uncovers raises a new question about her own past why she left, what she lost, and what she has spent eight years pretending to forget. And at the heart of it all waits the truth of what once bound her to Gojo Satoru.
As the light fades, one thing becomes clear. Some secrets were never meant to be buried with the sun.

Chapter 1: LONGING

Chapter Text

I yearn for you, my light.
As the sea yearns for the land
desperately,
endlessly,
with sorrowful waves
that fade away
before they reach you.

I yearn for you, my light.
Like a star yearning for the morning,
knowing
aching
that it will burn out
the moment it is seen.

I yearn for you, my light.
For our souls united
deeply,
poignantly
so that Death itself would weep
at the thought of parting us.

I yearn for you, my light.
