Baran cocked her head marginally. Her gaze bounced across Santos’ face, the shadow of a smile playing at her lips, trying to read what she saw on there. She could never quite understand which side of the line between sincerity and sarcasm Santos was on at any given time, and had made a small game of trying to work out which. For example here, the slightly raised left eyebrow along with the dry tone was enough to lead to the conclusion that this interaction was not entirely free of scorn. Baran decided she could live with that.

trinity santos keeps overhearing private conversations, and finds out more about her new attending than she meant (or wanted) to. baran al hashimi struggles to settle into her new job, and finds an unlikely ally in trinity. the two orbit each other, getting closer and closer, two black holes circling one another. unfortunately, a collision is inevitable, and the aftermath may bring them both to their knees.

The standstill was short lived, as Two Time went to plunge their dagger into the earth, but something goes wrong...
They both are knocked unconscious as they collide when an odd vortex takes them before anyone could even move. It blinks out of existance, taking the two with it.. The game ends, and usually another timer starts- but this time, nothing. It was not hard to guess why, they'd just lost a survivor and killer somehow, they knew this to be true because Two Time had not respawned- nor had Azurewrath returned to the other killers after their first round... It wasn't clear when things would start back up- perhaps the being that took them there did this? Nobody will know.Azurewrath wakes first- they had always been sturdier than the other. Azure quickly realized their hat was gone, they could think- the endless voices were quiet enough to do so... Why then, can they not speak? Where are they?

Little hometown Ashwood is rocked by the sudden deaths of beloved former high school teachers, Mr. Henry and Mrs. Rosa Colworth, who were found dead in the forest behind their home. Marie and her elder sister, Margot, were forced to leave behind the lives they had began to build to deal with the inherited debts and home left to them after their parents' passing.
Marie balances her academics and a grueling job as a waitress, along with the subtle fear that whoever struck down her parents will return to clean up what they left behind. Small town police are wrapped up in the insanity of a new death on the opposite side of town, and citizens fear that a pattern will emerge with new victims. Margot is determined to find the culprit, and do what's necessary to deliver justice but Marie just wants to move on, and handle affairs so she can reclaim her life. Both are in over their head as they uncover the horrid truths that lay beyond the forest line, and what local authorities want to obscure to history.

It was natural, then, that the man - Renoir - was appointed the leader of the mission. Those who weren’t already neck-deep in rebuilding the city were eager to join, with Julie included. She didn’t think she’d be able to take another day of living in the midst of such a stark reminder of the way of life she had lost."
