Written after release of Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, and Onyx Storm. (Spoilers!)
In his third year at Basgiath War College, Xaden Riorson continues the impossible task of seeding a rebellion, protecting those with a rebellion relic, keeping his secrets, ensuring Sgaeyl's happiness, and of course, simply surviving in a death college. Now he has been asked to keep the daughter of his enemy, General Sorrengail, alive on top of it all. Though he wasn't sure if he would hold up his end of the bargain, his decision is made for him when he meets Violet for the first time.
This is a retelling of Fourth Wing from Xaden’s point of view. Much of the timeline and most of the dialogue are canon Fourth Wing, but I have added a view of Xaden concurring with Violet's timeline in the book, so we see him outside the bounds of what Violet does. I have done my best to portray Xaden's thoughts and feelings from what I know of him from reading the series many times.
