Summary
When Imogen starts her first year at Basgiath, the only thing she’ll openly say that she’s looking forward to is manifesting a signet. After all, that’s the only reason anyone would actually choose to enter Basgiath War College. But deep down she can’t wait to see her friends, see Garrick, again.

Summary
It takes everything in me to form my next words. I manage it, although my voice is thin and brittle.
“Do you know who I am?”
I am Violet Sorrengail Riorson. Third-year cadet. Fourth Wing, flame section, second squad. Duchess of Tyrrendor. Lightning wielder. Dream-walker. Tairn and Andarna’s rider. Your wife.
Your murderer.
I would take any single one of those answers. Any flicker of recognition in his gaze, because gods, he is looking at me like he’s trying to place me. His expression is bewildered now, between me clinging to him and whatever Sgaeyl has said to him. I hold my breath and try not to fall to pieces.
After the longest moment of my life, he shakes his head.

Summary
Born to heal. Forced to fight. Chosen twice. Feared by all.
Vaelyra Sorrengail was never meant to set foot in Basgiath War College.
Illegitimate daughter of General Melgren and the ruthless Lilith Sorrengail, she was raised in the shadows, trained to be a healer, not a rider.
She learned to mend wounds and silence pain under a mother who offered no comfort, only control.
But war runs in her blood. And when she’s forced to enroll alongside her sister Violet — with orders to protect her — Vaelyra must reveal what she’s kept hidden: a mind forged for strategy, a body hardened by a year of brutal training, and scars even dragonfire couldn’t burn away. When she bonds not one but two powerful dragons — Tairn, the legend, and Khalzhar, the feared — she becomes something the college never expected: a weapon too dangerous to command.
With war looming and truths unraveling, Vaelyra makes a pact with rebel Xaden Riorson: he’ll protect Violet, and she’ll heal his people. But nothing comes without a cost.Trapped between two dragons, two men, and a past that won’t stay buried, Vaelyra will learn that being chosen twice isn’t power... It’s a sentence.

Aysel Bardin failed Threshing.
Entering the Rider's Quadrant wasn't ever about glory—it was about holding onto the only family she has left. With dead parents and her sister on the front lines, the only path open led straight to the parapet. But countless days, a hundred and forty-four dragons, and one godsforsaken valley later, she's reminded of a harsh truth: wanting anything beyond survival is asking too much.
There's no other choice but do it all again. Politics. Death. Dragons. This time she’ll do it next to the children of the rebellion—marked and dangerous. But, they're only deadly if they can kill you...and Codex states you can’t kill your squadmate, right?
The more time spent with Xaden Riorson, the deeper Aysel is pulled in. The lines between loyalty, survival, and want begin to blur, their bond growing into a force as dangerous as it is magnetic. And suddenly, that rule seems like utter nonsense.
Codex never took “falling for him will ruin everything—including you” into account.

Summary
"For once in your sorry miserable life you're wrong, Violet. My son, did not do what you accuse him of. He told me nothing. Those marked by their families' rebellion where never meant to leave Basgiath alive. Did you not think we knew of their movements. That we had them watched. But not by my son. Believe me, he was a disappointment. His loyalty to you was pitiful."
The bastard laughed.
"And in the end you cost him everything. He is dead and he is never coming back. How does your conscience live with that!"
What if Dain had never told his father what he saw in Violet's memory, but the events of Resson still played out the way it did - Liam, Soleil and others still died and they still believed that Dain was involved.

Summary
Alyxandra Tavis is one of the marked children, branded by the Apostasy, and bound by a bargain she never agreed to.
Unlike the others, she doesn’t view Xaden Riorson’s deal with General Sorrengail as salvation—it’s still a death sentence. A delay of the inevitable.
To Lyxa, survival came at too high a cost. If she and the other marked children had died with their parents, the resistance might have lived on. They might have been remembered as martyrs for change, instead of traitors to the regime.
Deep down, she knows her fury is misdirected. But rage needs a target, and Xaden plays the perfect one.
As Lyxa is now entering her first year at Basgiath, she and Xaden must find a way to survive each other. Because if the Navarrians and dragons don’t get to them first...they just might kill each other. -

Summary
I feel Garrick come up beside me before I see him, eyes fixed on my friend’s blonde head of curls as she pulls away just enough to plant a kiss on Jax’s lips. “Thank you for bringing her back,” I tell him, feeling my face heat as tears prick the corners of my eyes. I blink them away before they have the chance to do something embarrassing like fall.
“I told you I’d try.”
I don’t look up at him, too afraid that he’ll be able to read the rare moment of vulnerability and really see me. See the parts of me that aren’t made of hardened stone. The parts that can watch two people so clearly in love and think about how nice it must be.
I stare stubbornly ahead at my best friend and the love of her life and try not to let myself be too envious of that bond they share while I deny myself the chance at anything close to it. “Still,” I mutter, “thank you. Quinn really needed this.”

Summary
When Violet and Xaden find themselves in a rather compromising situation at 35,000 feet, their impulsive mile high lie lands them in London for a wedding week full of fancy events, suspicious relatives, and a story they have to keep straight. But as the line between real and pretend begins to blur, the consequences of their one little lie grow harder to ignore.
AKA : The fic where Xaden and Violet meet on a plane and get caught joining the mile high club. They impulsively claim they just got engaged in an effort to get out of trouble, locking them into living their lie as they head to London for a wedding in a story that celebrates some of our favorite tropes: Fake Relationships, Only One Bed, Forced Proximity and jealous Xaden's Touch Her and Die vibes.

Summary
At 25, crime beat reporter Violet Sorrengail is already one of the most accomplished journalists in California, with an investigation into bribery at the LAPD gaining her national attention and fancy job offers in New York. But a panicked phone call from a source leaves her rattled — and seeking answers she can’t hope to get with a press badge hanging around her neck when they're found dead.
LAPD Detective Xaden Riorson is fighting a losing battle. The Aretia Hills Station he practically grew up in is crumbling under the weight of understaffing, gangs that seem to become more emboldened by the day, and distrust from the people he’s sworn to protect. Worse, he's being saddled with training a reporter who thinks she's a cop while the gang that bribed the station's officers continues running rampant.
Xaden and Violet couldn't be more diametrically opposed, and their partnership couldn’t get off to a worse start. But as Violet begins to uncover how the scandal that led her to the LAPD isn’t as black-and-white as she’d always believed, Xaden starts to suspect that there is something she — and the LAPD — is hiding.

Summary
Xaden POVs are fun, the first ones weren't able to take into account the revelations from Iron Flame/Onyx Storm though. So let's revisit the start of the series now that we know (most of ...?) what was really going on 🙂
This is a podfic, so if you'd like to listen along with an audio version of each chapter, click Play on the embedded audio player at the top of each chapterThis was updated after the release of Onyx Storm, all speculation/theories are my own and could easily prove incorrect based on subsequent books. This work contains new scenes between Xaden and Sgaeyl, Liam, Tairn, Imogen, Garrick, Bodhi, etc.
All rights belong to Rebecca Yarros – thanks to her for her incredible work, this amazing world and characters to have fun with
Also, here are some Theory Videos I've made (many of which are incorporated into the fanfic) about things like the biggest twist in Onyx Storm which we all missed, Andarna's 'Prophecy' from the end of Iron Flame, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBRRIHKjAwE&list=PLDW1bM67Cu_uKmv9DjP_Nx7O3Bk-cEs4J

Summary
I don’t know how many people would care to listen to a story they’ve heard before, but this is the first time I’ve told it and I can promise you there are parts of it you’ve never heard before and some gross exaggeration and blemishes that those dramatic story tellers just love to add. Those bards are never satisfied with the truth, especially when it lacks the necessary theatrics to attract the attention of the audience and win them prizes in the great public contests.
As if being a woman who could turn people into stone with her gaze just because you pissed off a god or two isn’t dramatic enough! They really had to add snakes and beheadings to it! Really, it’s hard not to be offended!
