Summary
Picking up where my fic "Leaving Neverland" ended, we see how one night affects both Emma and Killian upon returning to Storybrooke. When Pan's Curse is imminent, those events force them to make a choice which will irrevocably change their relationship. Rated *M* because its predecessor was, though most content will be rated *T*. This is a multi-chapter fic spanning the year in New York. Cross-posted at ff.net

Chpt 24

This time I’m going to start the recap by saying, I honestly don’t think I will see the next chapter before 2024 is up, because this was first posted in 2014, and then one point to the author went 2 1/2 years without posting an update, and this hasn’t been updated since 2020. It’s not coming back any time soon.
In this version of events, when Emma and Henry escape Pan’s curse, Killian goes with them. Emma and Henry both have the fake memories, and don’t remember Storeybrook or anything, like the TV show. Killian though, the only thing he doesn’t remember, is anything relating to Storybrooke or anything that happened there. So he can remember Neverland, but he can’t remember why he went there or what happened when he came back. He went with Emma and Henry to New York, and is their roommate.
In this version of events, rather than ending at just a kiss in Neverland, they actually slept together on the ship, but in typical Emma fashion, she put her walls back up and locked him out.
Killian has been working hard to try and restore her memories, but a failsafe that Regina built into her spell means that he goes narcoleptic if he tries to directly explain what’s happening. So instead, he confirms organise the things that she remembers, and she remembers more the more physically intimate she is with him. This has led to this weird tension of her, really wanting to sleep with him (both to see what it’s like, and to see if she remembers everything) but he doesn’t want to sleep with her until she remembers everything.
It ends with them both, finally excepting that they’re dating and that they’re a family unit, including Henry, who is playing matchmaker, but Emma also realising that her memories of actually keeping Henry are false, and the truth may be that she gave him up (which is the truth)
