Summary
“You’re not there during Symmachia meetings Ri El. I can see it in his eyes every time he looks at me,” Jimin says, withdrawing to the landscape unfolding before him. The white slopes of the Ionnanian Hills curve across his field of vision.
“What do you see?” Ri El asks, worried by his demeanour. He turns back to face her, dark candle light flickers against the metal of her plated armour. Dark brows are furrowed as she looks at him, worry and something like pity gleam in her eyes. He thinks back to Symmachia Hepta meetings, the black gaze of the Emperor, the blatant emotion in them that crawls its way up his spine.
He answers, “Hunger.”
