Maybe he really is a hypocrite, to be lecturing Jiro about this when in the days after The Dirty Dawg had broken up, he'd purchased a pack of cigarettes himself. He hadn’t smoked any of them—the next time laundry day had come around, he’d tossed it out with the hopeful condoms Jiro kept in his pockets and the junk that always turned up in his own.
But for that week, it sat heavy in his jacket, a silent accusation.
(Ichiro finds out that Jiro has been smoking, and isn't happy about it.)
