Bits and Pieces

Summary:

just a collection of yoonseok drabbles because I have all this prompt ideas that are too short to post individually so I’m going to just post them as chapters in one story because why not? Also some on these stories are awfully written like…they lack descriptive sentences but hey, they’re literally just ideas that were never meant to be a full story so bare with me here and use your imagination for most of them.

Chapter 1

Notes:

power outage causes them to role-play some cliche, end of the world drama.

Chapter Text

In the midst of preparing the table for dinner, the dining area is suddenly engulfed in complete darkness. His hands pause over the plates and silverware as an earth-shattering scream shakes the whole apartment. “My love!” comes a cry for help in one of the rooms and Yoongi snorts under his breath. “I’m coming, dear!” he yells back and begins his venture through the darkness with his arms extended in front to prevent himself from walking into a wall or furniture.

“Where are you?” a voice next to him whispers and he turns his head just in time to faceplant against a very broad chest. “There you are!”

Yoongi’s chuckle is muffled as he snakes his arms around the latter’s waist, pulling him closer until their bodies are flushed against each other. He feels arms wrap themselves around him, pulling him even closer to the point that he has to turn his head and rest his cheek on his lover’s pectoral to avoid suffocating.

“I think I have gone blind,” Hoseok says, his words vibrating against the top of Yoongi’s head where kisses are soon planted in gentle pecks. “It’s the eclipse, my love,” Yoongi plays along. “The end is upon us,”

“Oh, have mercy!” Hoseok gasps and that triggers Yoongi’s fit of laughter, his adorable voice bringing Hoseok to the same fit until they’re basically just bubbling with happiness in the liquid darkness, arms around each other.

“Go find the candles, you dork,” Yoongi says, still grinning with faint giggles.

“Candles? It’s the 21st century, babe. Don’t we have flashlights?”

“We do, but the candles I bought are scented,” he reasons and pulls away but links their fingers together so they’re not separated. “They’re lavender scented, Hoseokie,” he whines with a pout in his tone, a trick to lure Hoseok into lighting the candles and Hoseok knows it; he knows that trick very well but he also lets himself fall for it every time because honestly, who can resist Yoongi’s adorable pouts. “Alright, I’ll go light some candles,” Hoseok feigns a sigh of defeat before reluctantly letting Yoongi’s hands go.

A few hours of stubbing toes and curses under breaths later, the dining area is finally lit up with flickering candles and dancing shadows against the wall. The candles do smell heavenly as claimed, but Yoongi’s amazing cooking blocks them out almost instantly.

“Is this…” Hoseok starts after swallowing a bite and puts his utensil down, the silverware clinking subtly against the porcelain plate. “Is this our final meal together?”

Yoongi is confused for a second with a spoonful of rice hovering in front of his parted lips, before realizing the situation. He slowly puts his spoon down and reaches for Hoseok’s hand across the table. “I’m afraid so, dear,”

“We had so much to live for,” Hoseok’s voice cracks and it’s taking everything in his power not to start laughing because Yoongi looks awfully serious right now. “I know,” Yoongi nods and squeezes his hand. “But don’t worry because in the next life we’ll find each other,”

“But what if we build a shelter and avoid the apocalypse,” Hoseok offers desperately, refusing to believe that this is the end of everything they have yet to accomplished. “No one can avoid the end of the world, my love,” Yoongi shakes his head and heaves a dramatic sigh before standing up and going around the table to sit on the younger male’s lap. His chest tightens at the sight of his loved one unable to accept the truth even after it’s been stretched out in front of them. “Not even the heavens,” he adds and leans in to press a kiss between Hoseok’s furrowed eyebrows.

It’s quiet for a moment before Hoseok snorts loudly, bringing Yoongi into another fit of laughter. “You’re such a dork,” Yoongi wheezes, bracing himself on Hoseok’s shoulders that are jerking from every laugh. “I’m your dork, babe,” Hoseok winks and that only makes Yoongi laugh even harder, his gummy smile and crinkled eyes always such a beautiful sight in Hoseok’s eyes. “Yes,” he agrees as his hands cup Hoseok’s cheeks. “Yes you are,” and then lips found each other in the dim room, moulding into the other in a messy kiss of clanking teeth and squished noses because Yoongi won’t stop smiling.

“Stop laughing, you idiot!” Hoseok scolds playful but his lips curve into a similar smile that folds into Yoongi’s perfectly and then they finally kiss just for a second because Yoongi is laughing again and Hoseok rolls his eyes but pulls him so much closer.

“I love you so much, Seokie,” Yoongi says as he pulls away from a rather unsuccessful yet satisfying kiss, his laughter dissolving into giggles.

“I love you too, baby,” Hoseok presses their foreheads together, his smile brighter than the candles and his hands on Yoongi’s hips warmer than the fire. “So much,”
