    Fallout 3 AU - Two hundred years after a nuclear apocalypse devastated the world, Emma Swan escapes Vault 101, a survival shelter designed to protect up to 1,000 humans from the nuclear fallout. She travels the Capital Wasteland to find the parents who abandoned her when she was just a baby. Her singular focus shifts, however, when she sets foot in a small town called Storybrooke, and meets its dazzling Mayor.

    This work is part of the #500Challenge, written in such a way that someone who has never played the game will still be able to follow along with the world and its characters. For non-players, this is a post-apocalyptic AU. Fallout 3 enthusiasts will find a lot in this fic that they will specifically recognise.
