Work Text:
When Jin walked into the small clothing shop tucked in the corner of the street, he was not surprised to see employees coming to his side, asking if he needed any help. You see, this was always the case with Jin. Wherever he went, he had people flocking to his side as if he was a rare, prized meat and everyone around him was a malnourished dog. Jin would like to say it’s because of his hilarious dad jokes, or that people were attracted to the way that he is hard working on whatever he puts his mind to. Alas, it’s his face people are attracted to. He understands why though, I mean have you SEEN his features?! It is like he came straight out of a Shoujo Manga, so he really can’t blame people for it. It would just be nice for people to get to know him afterwards and not solely be with him because of his good looks. Maybe some worldly being heard his prayer because at that moment, his eyes landed upon the most breathtaking man he had ever laid his eyes on. No he wasn’t looking at a mirror, hell Jin would even say the man was more handsome than he could ever be. The man before him had soft, caramel colored hair, honey golden skin and a rare, but blinding boxy smile. The man also happened to be a worker from in the shop. The man turned to face Jin and he stood frozen in place. The man smiled started walking towards Jin, boxy smile intact, and Jin started to panic. What should he do? What should he SAY? This man was the definition of perfection and Jin did not want to say something extremely embarrassing. That’s why when the man is finally standing in front of Seokjin, the first thing that comes out of plump lips is “You’re so ethereal.” To say Jin was mortified would be an understatement. He could feel his cheeks burning, he felt like he was literally burning himself alive at the moment. After he raised his eyes to meet the man’s face, he realized that the man was also looking bright red. The man looked up at Jin’s eyes and smiled his boxy smile, impossibly ten times brighter than the last. He finally opened his mouth and OH MY GOD his voice was heaven. It was deep, and rich and he had the most beautiful pronunciation Jin had ever heard. It took Jin a while to register the fact that the man was staring at him, obviously he had told him something and Seokjin had spaced out. Again, Seokjin was mortified. The man just smiled and the man opened his mouth again to say, “Thank you, but I am not sure that is true. Especially when it is coming from someone who looks like a real life Prince.” Seokjin couldn’t help but smile, bread shaped cheeks puffing up as he met the man’s eyes. Seokjin looked at the man and asked “Excuse me but what is your name? I don’t want to let myself be whisked away by someone without at least knowing that much.” The man just smiled and pointed to his name tag as he said “Taehyung, but people call me Tae. You know you could have just looked at my name tag and you would have known that. Yet again, I guess you were so impressed by my, what did you say? By me being ‘so ethereal.’” At just hearing Taehyung tease him Seokjin could feel the flames licking his cheeks once more but he dis manage to hear Taehyung laugh and say, “don’t worry. I like being called ethereal, it is not something I hear everyday.” Before Seokjin could respond to Taehyung, Jin heard someone shout “Taehyung hurry up, you’re here to work not flirt with the costumers.” Jin looked at Taehyung and before he could apologize, Taehyung already had one finger on Jin’s lips, shushing him in the process. “You know, I get off at 8, in case you want to get to know more than just my name.” Seokjin was so shocked, it took him some time to process what Taehyung said before he responded “do I pick you up here after?” Taehyung’s lips formed into a small smirk when he got what Jin meant by his response. Taehyung then broke into a full on boxy smile when he said “Until we meet again then.” Jin’s own lips formed into a small, playful smile and he muttered the words “Until we meet again then” as he left the shop.
