Chapter Text
Katsuki loosened his tie, taking a deep breath as he looked at the entrance of UA. He’s finally made it, after that other shitty hero school, he made it. His goal to surpass All Might and be number one hero was closer than ever. He let a smile slip on his face before shutting it down.
He believes he was a good person, understanding that bullying that boy from age 4 to 12 was a horrible choice on his part, and he vaguely remembers how the boy looks but that’s completely irrelevant. He’s trying to be a better person, since he moved, and met his best friend, Kirishima Eijiro. But he also thinks, others can be good people if he looks hard enough. Like how Kirishima is a good person, without trying, which kinda freaks Katsuki out but that’s beside the point. But here he was, standing in front of his dream. He probably looked like an idiot, standing here, monologuing to himself.
Katsuki straightened, walking inside the main entrance and scanning the lockers, until he found his, and began taking off his shoes. He glances around at the other students, some tried to rub the tiredness out of their eyes, while others slipped on their school shoes before yawning. His eyes meet up with green eyes before he narrowed them slightly letting his fall to his locker as he slipped on his shoes, carefully placing his other shoes in the locker, the front of the shoes tilted inwards, touching each other while the backs are pointed outwards. He straightens, pulling his phone out of his uniform pocket and clicking the power button on the phone, watching the screen light up while his eyes scanned where his class is Class 3-A.
Katsuki made his way to class, slowing his walking to memorize the route. He eyed the group of boys hovering over a group of girls, a growl tried to push its way up his throat, but he suppressed it. He cannot get in trouble at this school. But he wonders, all these students must have been nice, or happy as children, so what happened? Why, while trying to be heroes, are they making choices to ruin their careers before their even started. Katsuki slouched, moving his eyes away from the two groups while moving forward.
He guessed when they were younger, they didn’t have all this pressure on them like they do now. Every movement being watched my media that’ll chew them to pieces like sirens luring sailors to their doom. And that’s the trigger. UA is the first as one of the top hero schools, and have a unique sense of teaching. They were forced to grow up, and that messed some up. While thinking he bumped into someone, glaring at the boy with a bird head.
“Watch it.” He hissed, as the boy muttered some sort of apologize, before continuing his way to the classroom. He exhaled, the tension leaving his body as the boy walked away. The blond shivered, rubbing his palms on his pants, getting rid of the sweat that was aching to explode. He inhaled, holding his breath for 10 seconds. He honestly couldn’t wait until he’s graduating, this is the last year before he’ll be the number 1 hero.
Until end of March. Exhale.
Being number 1 hero will sure be hell, but that’s Katsuki’s dream since before he had his quirk. He vaguely remembered the green haired boy and him being a team, before faded as Kirishima appeared in the picture. Hopefully he’ll make it to March, hearing about the villain attack on class 1-A three years ago.
He placed his hand on a wall, his eyes drifting to two boys, one taller than the other. Katsuki knows life itself can be beautiful, but maybe people can be beautiful too. He watched the taller boy shove the smaller one to the ground, some students passing laughed. But Katsuki guessed that today's not the day for it. He moved to the smaller boy, with lilac hair and eyebags. “You good eyebags?” he asked, helping him up without making unnecessary contact. Eyebags scoffed, pushing Katsuki away. Katsuki move back, his crimson eyes narrowed.
“Fuck off. I didn’t ask for help.” He growled, causing Katsuki to roll his red eyes as the boy stomped off, his lilac hair bouncing.
“Yeah, whatever.” He grunted, turning to continued his walk to the class. He clenched his fist, unclench, clench, unclench. Things will get better, as soon as he applies for an agency, and become a full-time hero. He rubbed his face, looking at the map on his phone.
He bumped into someone, lifting his eyes off his phone and to the face of the boy, narrowing as they hissed out a “Watch were you're going, freak.” The boy, with triangle black hair, and eyes that glared into Katsuki’s eyes. His elbows are fucking huge, what the fuck.
“Fuck off.” Katsuki growled, passing the freak with big elbows. He fought the urge to stick a match, and set this school ablaze. He closed his eyes, inhaling as he stumbled back, feeling a shock run through him. His eyes snapped open, narrowed into slits as they landed on a boy with a black lightning bolt through his hair.
“Opps, sorry man.” The boy grinned, tilting his head to the side as Katsuki watched him with narrow eyes. “It’s been three years and I still can’t control my quirk.” he exhaled, his yellow eyes hooded as they watched Katsuki. “Names Kaiminari Denki, but you can call me anytime sweet cheeks.” He winked.
“You must have a huge ego to combat your small dick.” Katsuki sneered, glaring at the slightly shorter boy. “Get out of my face, Pikachu.”
“Damn, aren’t you a blast to be around.” Katsuki’s eye twitched, popping erupted from his hands as he clenched them together and side-stepped Pikachu and continued. How far was this fucking classroom in the school? Katsuki’s pretty sure he’s been walking for a whole 2 minutes.
Aside the fact that most people in this school absolutely suck, he prays that they’ll all be happy and hopefully beautiful, like they all wanted to be. Life can be beautiful, and nice and full with hope of being actual heroes, like Lemillion or All might. He eyed the large crowd in front of class 3-A, tensing before spotting the bright red hair of his best friend, who pushed through the crowd, grinning.
“Hey, Shitty hair.” Katsuki started, while letting Kirishima pull him into a hug. He pulled away, moving his bag to his hands.
“Bakubro! You made it!” Kirishima, Katsuki’s best friend since middle school. He made it into UA for his first year, while Katsuki was forced to try another hero school. “I think I should explain some things before you go inside...”
“Yeah, explain why this school acts like its back in the 90’s. I helped someone up from being pushed and they told me to fuck off.” Katsuki hissed, crossing his arms, before huffing. “We’re still on for movie night, right?”
“Of course, dude! I got spicy popcorn, just for you!” Katsuki slouched from his tense pose, smiling slightly. “I still have the American movie about the pro hero Spiderman!”
“Again?” Katsuki asked, eyes locking onto something green in the crowd that seem to spilt in half. “I’m sure you have it memorized by now, shitty hair.”
“What can I say, I’m a sucker for a happy ending!” Kirishima smiled, as Katsuki watched Pikachu and huge elbow guy walk up to them, Pikachu slapping Kirishima on the back, and shoving his bag to the ground. Huge elbows and Pichaku laughed. Kirishima’s face flushed as he tried to lean away from Pikachu.
“Hey shark week, this cutie your friend?” Pikachu drawled, eyeing Katsuki.
“What the fuck, Pikachu, pick that shit up.” Katsuki growled, as Kirishima’s eyebrows twitched. Pikachu's eyebrows jerked up, yellow meeting red.
“You talkin’ to me, sweetcheeks?”
Katsuki almost punched the teen, “Yeah, the fuck I am talking to you, Dunce face!” He straightened, shoving Pikachu off Kirishima. “What gives you the fucking right to pick on my friend, you wanna fucking die?!” Katsuki seethed, as huge elbows leaned forward.
“You have a zit, right there...” He said, pointing to a spot on Katsuki’s face where he knew he didn’t have a fucking zit. Before he could explode, Kirishima pulled him back and down the hall.
“What the fuck, Eijiro, why didn’t you tell me you were getting bullied.” Katsuki harshly grumbled out, letting Kirishima pull him inside a bathroom. “I’m going to fucking kill them.” He growled out, as Kirishima stared at him with a shaky smile.
“I didn’t want you to see that...” He retorted, “It’s never been like middle school, so I just focused on getting good grades, thanks to you, and being a hero.” He waved his hands, slowly lowering his head. “B-but I did something, I guess that wasn’t manly.”
Katsuki felt his throat tighten as he felt his finger nails dig into his palm. “It’s against the rules, to talk to the big three, who aren’t even the big three. Like Ashido isn’t even on the level that Midoriya and Uraraka are on, but follows them everywhere. But- She dropped her phone, so I tried to return it, and she accused me of stealing and-” Kirishima’s voice cracked, “and now the bullying gotten worst...” He trailed off, as Katsuki repeated, quietly the absolute bullshit that Kirishima was spurting.
“I’ll beat the shit of out them.” He claimed, his ears perking up at the noise outside of the bathroom. “I’ll defeat each and every one of them.” He slammed his fist together. “I didn’t fucking come here to have a high school drama TV show fucking record. I came here to surpass All Might and that fucker Endeavor.”
Kirishima blinked, tears laced his eyes as his frowned morphed into the grin Katsuki knows. “And we’re a team!”
“That’s fucking right.” He grinned, tilting his head to the side. “So, tell me about the big three here.”
Kirishima nodded, “So, the big three... they float above it all. They never get in trouble for anything they do... the basically run the students of the school.” He muttered, “Uraraka Ochaco, she’s the second member of the big three. Her quirk is Anti-Gravity... She’s usually participates in the cheering at festivals and things.” He explained, “Her parents own a construction company.”
He licked his teeth, as Katsuki sat on the counter of sink, pulling out his phone to write this down. “Then there’s Ashido Mina, the replacement for the third of the big three. The third got injured, purposely or not, it’s weird. Her quirk is acid, she’s literally pink.” He turned towards Katsuki, “She runs yearbook, with no visible personality, but her parents did pay for implants, that’s what I heard at least, which is super not manly!”
Kirishima paused, “Then there’s Midoriya Izuku... He’s the first member of the big three. He’s supposedly is the next All Might... This girl I know, Jiro, said he’s a mythic bitch, but I've never really interacted with him...” Katsuki kicked his legs, his brain flattering at Midoriya. He swore he knew that name, but whatever. “But their solid uh...” He waved his hand, “What’s that pan spray called?” Katsuki placed his phone down to answer.
“Teflon.” Katsuki answered, recalling the one that both of Kirishima’s moms uses.
“Yeah! Their solid Teflon! They never seem bothered, and their never harassed...” Kirishima trailed, as Katsuki jumped from the counter and strutted out of the bathroom with Kirishima following. “I would give anything to be like them...”
“Shitty hair, you’re already an unbreakable force, don’t act like you didn’t help save Fatgum and Suneater.” He grunted, as a girl shushed them and pointed down the hallway where three people walked. The crowd split in half, Katsuki noticed some where actually drooling over them. He guessed that their the big three, at the fact that one of them is pink.
“I’d love to be their girlfriend...” One girl near them muttered, eyes trailing the three figures. There was a hum of agreement in the crowd, while other girl muttered, “If I sat with them at lunch, guys would notice me...” Why would you want guys to notice you? You’re here to be a fucking hero, not to fawn over three fucking people. Katsuki noted that their hair was literally swaying in the wind like this was a scene from this old movie, Mean Girls.
“I’d like them to be nicer...” Kirishima whimpered from next to Katsuki, which caused another wave of agreement to run through the crowd. Katsuki felt something nudge his leg, watching this short purple boy wipe the droll away from his face.
“I’d like to kidnap one of the girls, and photograph her naked in a warehouse and leave her tied up for the rats...” He drawled, earning a sharp look from a girl, and a large hand picked him up and tossed him across the hallway. Katsuki watched as the three walked into the bathroom that Kirishima and him were just in.
“Bakubro, What time is it?” Kirishima asked, while the crowd dispersed, while Katsuki felt for his phone. Shit, where is it. It's still in the fucking bathroom on that stupid counter, he exhaled.
“I left my shitty phone in the bathroom.” Katsuki hissed, straightening. “Just go to class now so you won’t be late. I’ll catch up with you.” He stated, turning before Kirishima can say anything and walked into the bathroom.
Two stalls were closed, the handicap one and the normal sized one. He cringed as the sound of vomiting filled his ears and nose while he grabbed his phone, tensing as he heard the larger one click open before quietly walking into the only stall open and shutting it.
“Grow up, Mina.” A warm voice filled the bathroom, “Bulimia was so back in the 1980s, it’s been literal millennium since then.” The boy sneered, presumably to the person throwing up. Katsuki glanced at his phone, pulling out a notebook and a pen. He might be here a while.
“Maybe you should go see a doctor, Mina... It could be your quirk acting up, mine use to do that all the time.” A chirpy voice suggested. Katsuki glanced up from scribbling, seeing a movement. A squeak was heard seconds after so Katsuki assumed that the guy patted the chirpy girl’s head.
“Yeah, Izuku, maybe I sho-” She was cut off by herself vomiting. The bathroom door was opened.
“Midoriya, Uraraka,” The female voice was cut off by vomiting. “And Ashido...” She cleared her throat, “Perhaps you didn’t hear the bell over all your vomiting, but you’re late for class.” Katsuki pride himself in being early to class, and he was upset because all this madness caused him to be late on his first day. He also prided himself in his ability to forge signatures and notes. He hunched over the notebook, scribbling some excuse down for all four of them to be out of class. A year book pass.
“Mina wasn’t feeling well. We’re helping her.” Midoriya drawled, Katsuki can hear the eyeroll.
“Well, not without a hall pass, weeks detention.” A week of detention? Not if Katsuki can stop it. He doesn’t care what happens to these extras, he just knows if he gets caught in here, he’ll have a week's detention too. He opened the stall door, swiftly ripping the notebook paper out of the book. All the heads snapped towards him.
“Thanks for waiting guys. Sorry, teach I got the hall pass for the four of us right here.” Katsuki confirmed, holding out the notebook paper. “Teach was out of normal passes, so they just wrote it on the notebook paper, if it’s a problem then you’ve gonna take it up with them.” He finished, eyeing the black hair teacher as she nodded.
“I see you’re all listed... Hurry up and get to where you need to go, alright kids?” She watched the three nod, then walked out of the bathroom.
The pink girl stepped out of the stall, rushing to the sink to wash her mouth out. The green head on snatched the notebook paper out of his hand. “This is an excellent forger.” His green eyes trailed upwards to Katsuki’s narrowed red ones. “Who are you.”
“Uh... Bakugou Katsuki. I’m new here.” He grunted, “I crave a fucking boon.”
The green boy licked his lips, recognition flashing in his eyes. “What boon?”
“I want the Pink fucker to apologize to Kirishima publicly. If you don’t, I won’t fucking hesitate to rip your asses from top title.” Katsuki growled, his eyes never leaving the green boys' eyes as the pink one snickered.
“Izuku would never make me do that! Plus, Shark Week is such a loser.” The pink one grinned, her gold eyes eyeing Katsuki.
“What’s in it for us?” The green one asked, his head tilted as the rosy cheeked one pushed her makeup bag into her schoolbag.
Katsuki huffed, “I can also do report cards, permission slips, and absence notes.” He explained, “And I can beat a fucker up.” The pink one blinked.
“What about prescriptions?”
“Shut your mouth Mina.” The green one spoke, a smile played on his lips.
“Sorry, Izuku.” Katsuki tensed as Izuku grabbed his face, tilting it downwards.
“Mnh, you got a good bone structure, better then Mina’s anyway. And your skin is clear.” Izuku stated, as Mina’s eyes widened for a spilt second, before crossing her arms.
“And a symmetrical face. If I took a meat cleaver down the center of your skull, I'd have matching halves.” Rosy cheeks added, “That's very important.”
“Of course, you can stand to lose a few pounds.” Mina hissed, as Izuku let go of the hard grip on Katsuki’s face, placing both hands on his hips.
“And y’know,” He started, the other two repeated in question. “This could be beautiful.” He circled around Katsuki, allowing the other two to join in the circling. “Mascara, maybe some lip gloss.” Izuku motioned to rosy cheeks, “And we’re on our way.” Rosy cheeks placed her bag in his hand. “Get this boy some blush, and Mina I need your brush...” Izuku turned to the two girls, and grinned. “Let's make him beautiful.” Izuku turned to Katsuki.
“Let’s make him beautiful...” rosy cheeks repeated, nodding as she turned to Katsuki, also.
“Let’s make him beautiful...” Mina muttered, shaking her head as she turned to Katsuki.
“Okay?” Izuku titled his head, a grin on his lips. Katsuki’s throat tightened as his head nodded.
“Okay.” His mouthed moved, as he watched Izuku and rosy cheeks beam while Mina glared at Katsuki.
He sat through a whole two periods worth of playing dress up, only showing up at lunch in a blue uniform as Izuku had him stand next to him. Izuku showed him to the table the three usually sit at.
He watched with narrowed mascara's eyes as Pikachu ran into the same weirdo from early with the purple hair. “Out of my way freak!” He hissed, shoving the boy near a group of girls, as he stumbled out an apologize.
“I-I don’t want trouble!” the small one voiced, as huge elbow glared at the short boy.
“You’re gonna get it at 3pm, Freak!” Fulling shoving the boy into the group of girls, who slapped and pushed him on the floor.
“Don’t you dare touch us!” One hissed, as the other placed her foot on the boy's hand.
“Don’t come near us pev!” then the group stomped away. Katsuki glanced at Izuku, who was watching the scene with interested.
“What did I ever do to them!” The boy cried, stumbling out of the lunch room. Some students watched the boy with sympathy, others glaring at him. They all started talking about it, Katsuki couldn’t really grab a single word. But he did notice on of the teachers walking in and gasping.
“WHO’S THAT WITH MIDORIYA!” She all but yelled, alerting the who lunch room to turn into their direction.
Katsuki saw one kid’s mouth form a circle so he guessed he said “whoa”. Another person frowned, “Midoriya, Uraraka, Ashido...”
“And Someone!” Katsuki didn’t want to be labeled as someone. He hunched, straightening whine he felt Izuku flick his spine.
“Posture is important in the real world.” Izuku stated as two voices shouted. Katsuki eyed Izuku, who’s smile grew by the second.
“And a babe!” which caused Mina to huffed, rosy cheeks –Uraraka– to Smile, and Izuku to grin. Katsuki watched Kirishima rush over, disbelieve laced in his eyes.
“BAKUGOU!?” He yelled, right in their face, while his fingers moved, confused.
“Bakugou?” One student muttered. Another student muttered back, until most students were screaming his name.
Katsuki shrugged at Kirishima, “We’ll talk later, alright shitty hair.” He explained, turning to Izuku who was staring at Kirishima.
“Kacchan, is this the friend you were talking about? The stealer?” Katsuki blinked, ignoring the stupid fucking nickname.
“He’s not a fucking thief. He was trying to return Pinky shitty phone and she fucked him over. And she needs to fucking apologize like you fucking promised.” He sneered, standing. “And if you don’t make her, I’ll fucking make her.”
Izuku smiled at Kirishima, “Mina, come here.” His voice was cold as Mina stood and stuffled over to Izuku. “get on your knees and fucking apologize, you offbrand pink excuse of bubblegum.” He hissed.
Katsuki watched, confused mostly while slightly aroused just a bit, as Mina flinched and got on her knees in front of Kirishima, who watched as equally confused as everyone else.
“I’m sorry I accused you of stealing my phone Kirishima. Please forgive me!” She yelled, loudly for the whole lunch room to hear. Kirishima waved his hands as his face flushed. He opened his mouth and started accepting her apology and adding some things he doesn’t need to add.
Uraraka giggled, titling her head towards Izuku, “Do you want Katsudon? I’m going to get some water.” Izuku smiled at her, all traces of wrong doing gone as he nodded, and looked at Katsuki. Uraraka looked at him too, “Would you like something too?”
“Uh, something Spicy.” He answered, eyes trailing Uraraka as she walked away before darting to watch as Mina stayed in that position until Izuku kicked her back. “That was better than I fucking excepted, holy shit, you are cruel.” Mina shuffled back to her seat.
“I’m not cruel, I’m just teaching people about the real world.” He stated, smiling at Katsuki. “The real-world sucks people dry. And if you want to fuck with the eagles, you have to learn to fly.”
Katsuki understood, nodding. “So, you teach people to spread their wings and fly?” Uraraka walked back, placing the katsudon and water in front of Izuku and something that was bright red in front of Katsuki with a glass of milk. “Oh, thank you, Uraraka.”He bit the inside of his cheek to stop himself from adding anything else.
“Oh, you can call me Ochaco, we all call each other by our first names.” Ochaco smiled, as Izuku swallowed some of water.
“To your question, Yes.” Izuku blinked as Katsuki placed the red noodles in his mouth, swallowing them.
“You’re beautiful.” Katsuki stated, meaning both words are they ate in silence. Maybe he could be beautiful too.
