And we grew up a lot faster than most.” He turned to look back at Zuko, found him unmoved, still watching his face, and he’d been compelled to give the other half of it, “She told me I was running and she wasn’t the one meant to stop me… not sure what I’m running from, but,” he’d shrugged again, “I’ll know when it catches up to me,” then lifted his hands to bring them together in a resounding clap, “Or I run right into it.”

(Or: Sokka is restless, never settling in one place for too long, and when he uncovers the seeds of a plot to assassinate the Fire Lord, he rushes to his side to stop it before it starts. Maybe he'll find what he's running from along the way.)
