Moonstruck

Summary:

Getting sick because you didn't have any umbrella while it was raining was horrible. Luckily for Jimin, Min Yoongi was around to take care of him.

Notes:

Hi Hi! Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful day today, and I hope you all enjoy it with your families or friends. Thank you for checking out Moonstruck, and I hope you enjoy it!

Yi, dear, I hope you enjoy your Christmas gift. Aha. I was really hesitant to post this constantly debating whether to scrap it or keep it how it was. Ultimately I kept it the same way but added a few details here and there. So, I really hope you enjoy it! <3

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

The first time they met was purely unintentional, but looking back at it Jimin couldn’t bring himself to hate it. Of course, he wished they had met in better circumstances, but he couldn’t change that. What happened, happened. He would just have to accept and deal with it. And honestly, Jimin was grateful for their fateful meeting. Without him, Jimin could never begin to guess how different things would of ended up.

~~~
Staring out the window watching as the rain poured down onto the street, Jimin sighed loudly realizing that what the weather forecast had predicted was definitely not correct. It was said to be a sunny day, and yet, the rain was coming down harshly. He didn’t even have any umbrella with him because there wasn’t supposed to be any rain today!
Walking away from the window and making it over to the opposite side of the room to grab his belongings Jimin let out yet another sigh. He could stay here at work and allow the rain to run its course, which would probably be the smarter thing to do or else there was a chance he would get sick, but he needed to get home soon. Or well, he wanted to get home soon anyways.
If he tried he could probably have someone drive him home, but the thought of asking someone was something Jimin did not like, and couldn’t bring himself to do. He didn’t want to risk the chance of being a bother, or deal with the social interaction. Jimin was always a loner, and he hated having to talk to people if he didn’t necessarily need to. The only time he ever really talked to anyone was when he was teaching his daily classes here at the studio. Besides that he tended to stay closed in on himself, shut off from the world.
So with that thought in his mind, Jimin picked up his belongings and walked to the door to leave. He knew the walk home would take a while so his chances of getting sick were pretty high, but that still didn't stop him. He had things that needed to be taken care at home, homework to do, and food to eat. Staying here at work was definitely not something on his agenda for the night.
Leaving the room, Jimin walked past a group of his students as he moved to the front door to leave the building. Sometimes, he found it weird that he was a dance major in college, but also teaching dance classes here at the studio. On some occasions, whenever he would learn something new in his lessons at school, he would bring them to work and teach his students them the same day. Sometimes he got the dances mixed up thinking he was in one place while in reality he was in the other, but he was beginning to get used to that.
Taking a breath as he approached the front door, Jimin could see just how clearly the rain was pouring down onto the street and sidewalk in hard patterns. Looking at how much was already coming down in such a short period of time he wondered if the streets had a chance of getting flooded. Now, a part of Jimin, was happy that he didn’t drive. He would never trust driving in rain like this, too scared of the chance that he could lose control of his car and get into an accident. That didn’t seem nice, or like something Jimin wanted to get into.
Reaching behind him, Jimin pulled the his jacket hood up over his head hoping that would give him at least some decent amount of coverage from the rain. Normally when it rained here it rained for days at end, so Jimin made a mental note to grab an umbrella for tomorrow when he heads down to his classes.
Nodding to himself, Jimin took one more deep breath before pushing the front door open and being greeted by the downpour of rain, and cool breeze that was passing through. He shivered bringing his arms closer to his body trying to contain and any body heat that he had, although that was already seeping away and disappearing. He would just need to get home as fast as possible.
Now, it wasn’t that Jimin hated the rain. No, it was the complete opposite. Jimin actually happened to love the rain. He loved the smell, and being in it, but when he had an umbrella. He didn’t like being completely exposed to it without much protection. And he definitely didn’t like the chances of getting sick that he had. He already knew that as soon as he got home he would need to hurry up and take a warm shower, and change into warmer clothes so he wouldn’t catch a cold or pneumonia.
Especially not now. Not when he had exams coming up this week. He needed to be present every single day and if he got sick it would not end well. He couldn’t miss school this week, so this rain needs to not have any affect on him besides making him extremely cold and in need of a very warm shower.
And that’s exactly what he planned to do once he got home.
~~~

As soon as Jimin arrived home he was completely drenched in rain, and shivering like no tomorrow. His teeth were chattering, and his hands were shaking so bad he barely managed to even unlock his door. Letting it slam behind him, Jimin didn’t hesitate to almost literally rip his jacket off wanting to try and warm up as fast as humanly possible.

Letting out a loud sigh as he threw the jacket down onto the ground not bothering to care about how soaked it was, and how it was going to get the floor covered in water Jimin hurried over to the bathroom to go and start a bath. As he walked over to the bathroom he glanced at the digital clock resting on his table near his television, checking what time it currently was.

Almost eleven at night, and he yet to start any of his homework. It didn’t help that he was almost dead exhausted and needed to wake up around six so he could get ready for his morning classes. He was wishing it didn’t rain now. If it hadn’t he could of came home, started his homework, then went to bed. At this point, Jimin didn’t even have it in him to worry about food. He just wanted to hurry up and go to bed. He could eat tomorrow morning before leaving for school. Besides, it wasn’t far from him anyways.

Entering the bathroom, and turning the water onto the warmest temperature possible without giving himself third degree burns Jimin peeled the rest of his clothes off dropping them onto a pile on the ground. He let out a breath, feeling ten times better already from having the wet layers on him finally taken off as he stepped into the bath enjoying the warm feeling.

Relaxing once he was fully rested in the water Jimin leaned his head back, closing his eyes as he let his body warm up and get used to the temperature of the water currently. It felt a little too hot to him, a slight sting as he just sat there, but at the same time he liked the feeling and enjoyed the warmth.

He got so relaxed in the water that he began dozing off, not even realizing he had been doing that until his head felt like it was falling forward and he jerked awake.

“Oh,” he mumbled, giving his head a shake to wake himself up a little bit.

He brought a hand up to his hair running his fingers through it as a small yawn came and went. Deciding that he had been in the water for quite enough time Jimin slowly and almost reluctantly pushed himself out of the water moving to the nozzles to drain the water out of the tub. The little nap he took in the tub did him little good as he was still completely drained, and he grabbed a towel to wrap around his waist.

To get dressed or sleep nude. That was the question that Jimin pondered in his head for multiple seconds as he made his way from the bathroom to his bedroom. He wasn’t always that okay with sleeping nude, but it also saved him a little bit of time so he could go straight to sleep. But at the same time putting at least boxers on was probably a better idea, and Jimin knew that for a fact.

Sighing, he walked over to his dresser, and opened the top drawer grabbing out the first pair of boxers that he saw and pulled them on. Then he quickly proceeded to hurry up and dry the rest of his body off before dropping his towel on the floor, and walking over to the bed to go and lay down so he could finally go to sleep.

Tomorrow he would definitely need to clean the house up a little bit. If he managed to find time anyways. With a busy schedule of college classes, after-school dance practice, work, and homework he barely ever managed to find the time to even eat going most days only eating one meal a day. He knew it was in his best interest to better his time so he could eat better, and find better times to sleep, but he never seemed to have the time to do so.

Maybe someday he would manage to figure out a decent schedule so he didn't have to live off the bare minimum of sleep, and eating, but for now he would just have to live with what he's dealing with. He wasn't complaining much anyways. There was always coffee he could drink to keep him awake, even if he wasn't a huge coffee person. It was something at least.

Pulling the covers of his bed down, Jimin laid down and sighed. His eyes fluttered shut, body relaxed and ready to sleep for as long as possible before he needed to wake up for his morning classes. Part of him just wanted to skip them, and sleep on longer but the other part of him knew that he needed to go to them or else he would be missing his exams. And that was not something Jimin was about to do. He couldn't even remember the last time he missed a class. He probably hasn't yet, and he really wasn't about to start.

The last thing he remembered thinking about before he fell asleep was that he needed to do his homework for sure when he woke up the next morning, and since he had taken a shower already he would have the time to do so. Or so he hoped anyways.

~~~
When Jimin woke up the next morning the first thing he registered was that his skin felt very hot, and he felt as if he was burning. He threw the blanket off of him, curling up into a ball and immediately shivering afterwards. That was majorly confusing. Underneath the blanket he felt like he was burning, but as soon as the blanket was off he felt as if he was freezing even while his skin was still on fire.
He groaned, cracking open one eye to look around the bedroom. It was bright in the room, completely opposite of what it should currently look like. There should barely be any light flooding into the room if he woke up at the proper time, but that didn't seem to be the case. Turning over onto his other side, Jimin glanced at the clock on his nightstand, his other eye opening as he saw what time the clock read.
Seven thirty.
Shit, Jimin was going to be late for his first class.
Rolling out the bed, Jimin fell to the floor with a thud scurrying to get up so he could hurry and get ready. He didn't have the time to worry about homework, or eating, or even the headache that he was bearing. Even with the immense amount of pain he was feeling from his head, Jimin was too busy trying to get ready so he could make it to his first class to bother to care.
If anything his headache was probably because of his lack of food, and his horrible sleeping schedule. Luckily, today was Friday so Jimin made a mental note to take tomorrow off from anything too extreme and focus on his health. He didn't need anything bad happening to him because of how badly he took care of himself.
Throwing on a gray t-shirt, and some black skinny jeans Jimin rushed to his front door picking up his phone, toeing on some shoes, and grabbing his backpack. He swung the front door open, and picked up one of his many beanies from the hat rack pulling it on since he didn't have the time to brush his hair, and ran out the front door.
He was such a mess this morning that he didn't realize it was still raining, and forgot an umbrella. And he also didn't remember to brush his teeth. This was just a horrible beginning to his day, and it probably would just be best if he stayed home and took the exam on Monday. But Jimin wasn't going to let it stop him. He could just chew a piece of gum and he would be good for the hour of his exam. Then he could come home and freshen up all the way before his afternoon classes. It was that simple.
As he stepped outside, leaving the apartment complex Jimin groaned loudly as he finally realized the rain was still completely down pouring. He knew he really should just go back inside his apartment and grab his umbrella, but truth be told he didn't actually know where it was currently located at. He would have to come find it once he came home later in the day. For now though he would have to deal with it like last night.
Jimin was at least grateful that the college was closer to his apartment than his work was. It would only take about fifteen minutes to run to the college while coming from work would take about twenty to thirty minutes. If classes started at about eight, and it was almost seven forty-five Jimin would sprint to the school and possibly make it with a few seconds remaining.
That was the only way he could think he would make it in time, so with that thought in mind Jimin adjusted his backpack onto his back comfortably, and began sprinting down the sidewalk towards his school getting completely drenched in the water. He felt bad for whoever was going to be sitting next to him in class today. Maybe he could just ask the professor to let him sit by himself so he didn't risk getting someone else wet. Or maybe they would send him up to the office to get new clothes on. Jimin had no clue, but he figured he would find out eventually after all.
He managed to run for about a good seven minutes or so before he felt completely out of breath and needed to take a break. By this point, his head was pounding harshly, and trying to catch his breath was like trying to chase after a cheetah. It was a challenge to get the air into his lungs, and he bent over placing his hands onto his knees.
It didn't help that once again his skin felt like it was burning, and he felt like he was dizzy. A part of him was screaming that he needed to sit down, and take a break for a few moments. But the other part of him was screaming that he needed to hurry up and get to the campus. He needed to get there. He needed to hurry, and yet he felt like if he took one more step he would lose his footing and fall to the ground.
The world was swirling around him, and no matter how hard he was trying to regain his breath it felt like he wasn't getting anywhere with it. He couldn't breathe, couldn't think, couldn't move. His body felt like it was frozen, he was stuck in that fetal position as the rain came down onto him making him shiver.
Maybe it really was a stupid idea for him to leave his house this morning. Maybe he should of just went to class late and take the test later, but now because of his ridiculous decision he was left to suffer.
"Hey," a voice called, but Jimin couldn't place where it was coming from. He couldn't even tell if the person was close or near to him until he felt hands touching him. "Are you okay? You look sick. Where's your umbrella? Why are you out here anyways? Where are you going?"
Jimin didn't respond, not really. Instead he let out a groan, and let himself lean into the stranger's touch his legs giving out on him. He felt horrible right now. Everything in him was burning, his head was pounding, and he didn't have the strength to stay awake. He just wanted to sleep.
"Whoa whoa whoa!" The stranger wrapped his arms around him, lifting him off the ground. "We need to get you inside and warmed up immediately."
Jimin just let out a soft hum, his head resting against the stranger's chest. It was warm, and he felt safe with him even if he didn't know who the guy was. If anything the guy could of let Jimin suffer and could have continued on his way, but instead he came and checked on him.
"Where do you live?" The guy asked quietly. His voice was deep and raspy, and Jimin loved it. Not like he would say that to him though. That would be very very awkward, and he didn't need that right now.
Quietly, Jimin whispered his address to the stranger surprising himself with how quickly he was always trusting the guy. The guy could be a kidnapper, and would have no clue and no way to defend himself since he was so weak and vulnerable right now.
The last thing he managed to hear before passing out was the guy whispering something that he needed to hurry up and get Jimin home.
~~~

The next time Jimin woke up he was covered in his blankets in his bed. He let out a soft groan as he ran a hand through his hair and sat up on the bed. His head was still hurting, but his skin didn't have the same burning sensation that it was having earlier this morning. The only main problem was he couldn't remember how he got home, or when he got home, or even what time it currently was.

He glanced around the room hoping to see if he could see anything, or anyone that might be able to explain what happened but when he came up empty-handed he frowned deeply. If someone had brought him home then he definitely wanted to thank them for it, but if they left and Jimin couldn't remember what they looked like then that would be almost near impossible.

Climbing out of his bed, Jimin yawned and walked out of his bedroom to the living room. He was only a few steps in when he noticed a man sitting on his couch flipping through the channels on his television.

Jimin was ready to grab something to throw at him when he turned to face him, and gave a small smile. "I see you're finally awake." The man said, and Jimin swore he could remember that voice from this morning. "You've been out for a few hours now. I'm sorry for hanging around without permission but it didn't feel right to just leave you here alone while you're sick." He stood up, and walked closer to Jimin but still gave him his own space. "I promise I didn't do anything, or touch anything besides the television. Or well..." He zoned off, walking into the kitchen.

"You're the one who brought me home?" Jimin asked tilting his head to the side as he followed the main into the kitchen.

"I am, yes. You basically collapsed on the street earlier, and I was passing by trying to get to my class for an exam I have." The man explained, "Can I make you something to eat?"

"If you can manage to find something to make in there then sure." Jimin laughed sadly, "I haven't gone shopping for food in a long time. I don't know if I have anything in there."

The raven-haired male just hummed opening up the fridge, "I suppose a shopping adventure is in order soon then, yes?" He asks going over to the pantry to see if Jimin had anything edible in there. "You have ramen. I'll make you some of that. You should go take some medicine for your head. When I brought you home earlier you had a fever. I don't know if you still do or not, but it's best you take medicine just in case."

Jimin nodded, and left the male alone in the kitchen to go to the bathroom to find some medicine that he could take for his head. He didn't actually know if he had anything, but once he found the bottle of ibuprofen he sighed and opened it up grabbing out the correct amount that he needed to take. Then he walked out to the kitchen again where a cup of water was placed on the table for him to drink out of.

"Thank you for bringing me home," Jimin spoke up after he took the medicine, and drank the contents of the water. "It means a lot."

"You should of stayed home if you weren't feeling well."

"I have exams to take at school. I couldn't afford to miss them."

The male turned around to face him, "Unfortunately you missed your exam then Jimin," The guy said, earning a gasp from Jimin.

"H-how do you know my name?" He asked, worried the guy happened to be a stalker that was going to kidnap him after all.

The male, noticing Jimin's fear raised his hands up and gave a small smile, "I have no intentions of hurting you. I promise. We have our first class together." He laughed, giving a small nod. "I sit in the back so I'm not surprised you don't know who I am."

"O-oh," Jimin laughed awkwardly, "I'm sorry. I actually don't know who you are."

"Min Yoongi," He introduced, "It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise."

~~~
Jimin doesn't leave his house again all weekend. Yoongi had made it pretty clear that he needed to stay in bed and rest the entire weekend so he wouldn't risk getting sick even more. He was also told multiple times that he needed to go out and buy actual food since ramen alone wasn't going to do him any good, but after reminding him that he wasn't supposed to leave Yoongi made it his job to go out and buy him some food for the time being.
It was weird having someone else in his house, weird having someone that he didn't feel necessarily scared to talk to. He felt comfortable around Yoongi within the first ten minutes of them meeting, but of course Jimin didn't let himself get too close. After all, Yoongi just brought him home, made him food, and bought him groceries. It wasn't like they were going to become best buddies now. And it wasn't like Jimin wanted that. He didn't expect to speak to Yoongi again anyways. Once he left that Friday he was sure that was their last time ever talking to each other, and honestly it kind of hurt.
He did like having Yoongi around as company, even if the entirety of the time it was Yoongi worrying about him and making sure he was okay. He still enjoyed the small talk they made, and he was kind of regretting not getting his number at this point. He wanted to make it up to Yoongi for taking care of him Friday. He just didn't know how to.
What type of things did Yoongi like? Wait. Maybe Yoongi didn't even want to talk to Jimin again. Maybe he just did it that one day because he felt bad for him? Maybe he didn't care at all, and it was all just an act. Maybe...
Before he could think about it anymore there was a knock at his door startling him. Jimin got off his couch, turning the television off as he walked to the door tilting his head to the side. He opened it up, and a small smile formed on his face as he saw who was standing in the doorway with a bag of food.
"Y-yoongi," Jimin spoke almost as a question, "What's up?"
"I got food, and decided to share." Yoongi smiled and allowed himself in, already walking over to the table to pull everything out. "Join me?"
Jimin laughed, closing the door behind Yoongi. He walked over to the table, and sat down in one of the chairs watching him. "You got food, and your first thought was to come and eat with me? I don't believe that."
Yoongi hummed with a shrug, "Okay, well the real reason is I got food so I could have an excuse to come see you again."
The blonde squeaked, flushing as he looked down at his lap, nibbling on his bottom lip. "Y-you wanted to see me again?" He asked, keeping his gaze off of Yoongi, "You would see me at school tomorrow though."
"True, but I wanted to see you know." Yoongi laughed, setting food down in front of Jimin. "Come on angel face, don't be shy. It's time to eat."
"W-well when you call me names like that I can't help but be shy!" Jimin whined, looking back up at stare at Yoongi. "W-what? Why are you staring at me like that?"
"I..." Yoongi looked away from Jimin, sitting down in a chair across from him, "I'm not. I was just seeing if you looked pale or anything." Yoongi shrugged, "How are you feeling? Do you still feel sick at all? Have you been taking medicine if you do?"
Jimin deflates, feeling suddenly like he doesn't want to eat or be around Yoongi right now. It was as if his mood suddenly plummeted once Yoongi lied to him. He knew Yoongi was staring at him for a completely different reason. He just didn't know what reason it was, and hearing Yoongi lie straight to his face was just a bummer to him.
"I feel fine," Jimin murmured, huffing. "I'm actually not that hungry. But thanks for bringing me some food. I'll eat it later once I do get hungry." He stood up from the chair, and grabbed his food bringing it into the kitchen to put into the fridge.
"Are you okay?" Yoongi asked, turning to look at him from his seat at the table. "Are you sure your not hungry?"
Jimin nods, walking back out after he put the food away. "Yeah, I had a big breakfast. I had some of the food you bought me on Friday." He smiled, and walked into the living room sitting down on the couch while Yoongi ate by himself.
"Oh. I see." Jimin could hear how sad Yoongi sounded when he said that, and his chest tightened at the thought of hurting Yoongi's feelings. "Well, then eat it whenever you get hungry."
"I will." Jimin smiles, "Thanks for bringing me food. I appreciate it."
"Of course."
Jimin hums turning the television back on so he could watch something while Yoongi eats. They sat in a silence besides whatever channel was playing, and Jimin didn't realize Yoongi had finished eating until he was walking to the front door.
"You're leaving?" Jimin asked, tilting his head to the side, "Already?"
"Yeah. We got to prepare for that exam tomorrow, remember? I need to go home and study for it."
Jimin nibbles on his lip trying to think of a response to Yoongi. He didn't want him to leave yet, but he also knew that this exam was really important for their grade, and he definitely needed to study. Jimin hadn't even thought about studying for the exam until Yoongi brought it up.
"We could study together." Jimin offered with a small smile. "Studying with friends is better than studying alone."
"Is that what we are?" Yoongi cocked his head to the side, as he raised an eyebrow giving Jimin a look. "Are we friends now?"
"I-" Jimin flushed looking back at the television, "I-I don't know. I'm just assuming. Nevermind, Go home if you want to. I won't keep you here if you don't want to stay."
"What?" Yoongi laughed and walked over to the couch sitting down next to Jimin. "I was just curious Jimin. We can be friends if you want to. I just...I don't know. You aren't the type of person that has friends. Or if you do I have never seen you with them at school before."
"Because I don't have friends. I don't talk to people. It's not my strong suit."
"You talk to me."
"Because I trust you."
"You barely know me."
"Then let me know you."
Yoongi hummed leaning forward, getting closer to Jimin until they were millimeters apart. "You're cute Park Jimin. Very very cute." He smiled, and leaned back. "Let's study together then. I'll let you get to know me."
~~~

They study together for the rest of the day, even though Yoongi tries to get out of it three times. Unfortunately for Yoongi though, Jimin was dead set on studying all the materials until he was sure he knew everything that there was to know. He wasn't risking the chance of failing, and Yoongi was stuck dealing with it the entire time.

However, throughout the entire time the pair got to know each other better. Yoongi learned Jimin was a dance major, and had no clue how to major his time which would explain why there was little to no food in his house. While Jimin learned Yoongi was the top of his class in music majoring. He learned that Yoongi was also a fourth year in college, and the only reason he was stuck taking the same class as Jimin first thing in the morning was because he decided to be lazy years ago and failed the class.

Of course, Yoongi didn't miss Jimin teasing him for failing such an easy class, but he wasn't complaining much. It was cute to Yoongi to see Jimin tease him over it. It was funny seeing how angry he got whenever Yoongi got an answer to a question wrong, and it was funny to see how determined Jimin was on getting everything correct for this exam.

"Why do you study so much for this if you already know everything?"

"Why do you make so many songs everyday when you already have enough?"

"Fair point."

At some point while they were studying Jimin's stomach growled, and he ate the food that Yoongi had brought over earlier that day even sharing it with Yoongi to make sure he had something to eat while they were busy studying together. Halfway through with the meal Jimin decided to just hand the rest of it off to Yoongi, as he wasn't hungry anymore and he could tell Yoongi was enjoying it way more than he currently was.

By the time they finished studying for the exam it was nearly ten at night, and Jimin was exhausted. His head was beginning to hurt again so he made sure to take some medicine, and with Yoongi's constant nagging he knew he wouldn't get out of taking it. It was a shame for Jimin to have to see Yoongi go but he knew he would see him in less than twelve hours, and eight of those he would most likely be asleep or something.

"Remind me, Park Jimin, to never study with you again." Yoongi laughed as he walked over to the front door to leave.

"Studying with me is amazing, Yoongi. You just don't appreciate it." Jimin returned, smiling at the elder. "I'll see you tomorrow then, yeah?"

"Of course. I'll see you in class." Yoongi opened the front door, giving Jimin one more smile before walking out.

Jimin watched as Yoongi left for a few moments before closing the door. He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding pressing his head to the door. The house already felt cold and empty without Yoongi's presence. He should have asked Yoongi to stay the night instead of making him go home . It was late already, and if Yoongi was walking then Jimin would feel horrible for it.

He had no clue how Yoongi even got there to begin with. Did he drive? Or walk? Jimin sighed, turning around to clean up all the papers they used to study with. Already, he was longing for Yoongi to come back and just spend time with him. He wanted to be around Yoongi more, and it confused him.

He had never been one to want someone's presence, never been one to enjoy someone's company. He was always a loner, always alone. And now that he had someone that was paying attention to him, spending time with him, and making him happy Jimin didn't know how to feel, how to react. And everytime Yoongi got closer, or touched him, he didn't want Yoongi to let go.

Maybe...

Maybe Jimin was starting to love Yoongi.

~~~
It wasn't until Wednesday that they got their results back on the exam. Jimin was pacing the hallway back and forth, back and forth as he tried to calm himself down before entering the room to see whether he passed or failed. He was almost certain that he passed, but he definitely wasn't sure. There was always a chance that he possibly failed, and then he would be screwed. All that worked that he put in to study would have been wasted. He didn't want that.
“You do realize there’s like a zero percent chance that you got a bad grade on this exam, right?” Yoongi’s voice came from behind Jimin startling him.
“Oh!” Jimin turned around to face him, “Why do you have a habit of scaring me?”
“I don’t. I just tend to catch you off guard.” Yoongi shrugged with a smile, walking up next to Jimin. “Don’t worry. I’m positive you passed. There’s nothing to fret about.”
“You say that like you know what I got.” Jimin mumbled, shaking his head.
Yoongi laughed, “I don’t know what you got, but I know you passed.”
Jimin rolled his eyes, taking a deep breath. Opening the door to the classroom he walked inside, and up to the professor so he could get his paper with the exam results written on it. He could tell Yoongi was following right behind him, and that calms his nerves a bit. He really was nervous that he would fail the exam, and if that became a reality...he didn’t know how he would take it.
“Ah, Mr. Park.” The professor spoke, smiling as Jimin approached the desk. He held out the contents of Jimin’s exam results and Yoongi’s out smiling at both of them. “I’m proud of both you Mr. Park, and you Mr. Min. It’s outstanding to see you put effort into this exam,”
Jimin smiled back at the Professor and offered a thank you, before hurrying out of the room not wanting to look at the results just yet. He waited until they were both back out in the hallway, and the classroom door was closed before slowly taking a peek at the paper, holding his breath.
Ninety-six percent.
Jimin let out a squeal as he read the grade over and over again, running over to Yoongi and throwing his arms around him in excitement. “I passed Yoongi! I passed! I got a ninety-six!”
Yoongi wrapped his arms around Jimin in return hugging him tightly. “I knew you passed.” He whispered, a smile plastered onto his face from Jimin’s happiness.
“I’m so happy right now I could kiss you!”
Yoongi stared down at Jimin taken aback by his sudden statement.
“Y-you what?” He asked, confused if he heard him correctly.
“I said I’m so happy I could kiss you right now.”
“You...want to kiss me?”
Jimin pulls away with a smile, “I...yeah, I do. I wanna kiss you, and hug you, and let you hold my hand.” He replied quietly, “I don’t what it is that made me trust you so much so fast. I never talk to people, I’m never comfortable around people. But you, Yoongi...I trust you, I feel comfortable with you, and I...I love you Yoongi.”
Yoongi doesn’t hesitate. He cups Jimin’s cheeks and surges forward pressing his lips to Jimin’s quickly, bringing him as close possible while their clothes are on. It probably wasn’t the best place to have their first kiss at their school, but really no one was around to complain about it after all.
“I love you too Jimin. I always have. Even before I saved you that day you almost passed out from how sick you got. I loved you before then. I’ve had the biggest crush on you since I laid eyes on you, and fuck. The day I saw you almost faint scared the living hell out of me. I was so glad that I could be there that day for you. And I’m so thankful it led to this.” Yoongi whispered, smiling happily. “I love you so fucking much.”
Jimin giggled, “I love you, Yoongi.”
Yoongi leaned forward, and pressed another kiss to Jimin’s lips. “Will you go out with me Jimin?”
“Yes. Yes I will.”
They smile at each other, eyes locked on one another before Yoongi intertwined his fingers with Jimin’s and walks him to the exit so they could leave. As they approached the door the pair laughed seeing what was outside.
“It’s raining again.” Jimin mumbled, glancing at Yoongi. “Rain is how we met, and now it’s raining again when we get together.”
“Rain must be our thing.” Yoongi shrugs, taking his hand from Jimin’s so he could get his backpack off to grab his umbrella. “Good thing I’ve come prepared. I don’t need you getting sick on me.”
Jimin laughed, “Whatever. You would take care of me again anyways, you know.”
Yoongi nodded, as they stepped out into the rain, opening the umbrella up to cover them. “Yeah. I know.”
