December 13, 2014
“Hyung, it’s time to go.” Jimin was leaning against the door to Yoongi’s room. He had his headphones on so he knew that Yoongi couldn’t hear him, he walked up behind him and leaned over his shoulder. “Your song can wait.”
Yoongi had the tendency to overwork himself. Once he was focused on a project, it was really hard to pry him away from it. The only one who had the highest success rate was Jimin. So naturally, he was always sent by the others to retrieve Yoongi for whatever they needed him to do.
Yoongi didn’t even flinch at Jimin’s presence right behind him. “No, it really can’t. I’m in my zone, Jimin. Go away.”
Jimin pouted, leaning his chin on his shoulder. He watched as Yoongi continued to mess around with stuff on the screen. “Looks like you haven’t made much progress since I was in here last.”
Yoongi scoffed and knocked his head lightly against Jimin’s in annoyance. “You don’t even understand half the shit that is on the screen.”
Jimin just shrugged and stood up straight again, moving to turn the computer monitor off. “It will still be here when we get back. Let’s please go before they decide to leave without us. I’d like to have fun tonight.”
That was quite a lame excuse, but it was the best Jimin could come up with in the moment. His earlier talk with Taehyung wasn’t helping at the moment.
“You can still have fun without me there, Jimin-ah.” Yoongi sighs, leaning back in the chair as he stared up his roommate who was fully dressed to go out. He didn’t want to admit that he looked good. Jimin had enough confidence as is.
He had devised a plan with Taehyung to confess to Yoongi tonight. In order for this plan to run smoothly it was necessary for the older to come along with them to the karaoke bar. They needed the aid of alcohol so Jimin wouldn’t freeze up and so Yoongi would be more chilled out. It would be easier for the both of them.
The younger shook his head to get back at the task at hand before going about Yoongi’s room to find him suitable clothes. “Here. Wear these.” He threw the clothes at Yoongi. Jimin knew his hyung well. He made sure every article of clothing was black so he could express his inner emo boy.
“Jimin-”
“Get dressed. I’ll be back in five minutes.” Jimin said before exiting the room, closing the door behind him.
Yoongi groaned, looking up at the ceiling before standing up and putting on the clothes given to him. Call him whipped, he couldn’t say no to the younger. He reluctantly came out of the room just as Jimin came out of his. He smiled at the sight of Yoongi and grabbed his hand before pulling him over to where their friends were.
“Finally, you two take forever. Let’s go before we lose our reservation at the karaoke bar.” Namjoon stood up from the couch, shuffling over to the door where everyone else was standing outside.
The three of them step outside, Jin double checking that they had locked the door.
“You look… depressing.” Hoseok commented towards Yoongi. “We are going to a bar not a funeral.”
“Not my fault, Jimin picked out my clothes.” Yoongi shrugged, just wanting to hurry up and go so he could get back to his music.
“Jiminie picked that? I have a hard time believing that since it looks like the rainbow threw up on him.” Taehyung teased.
“That’s how he expresses that he’s a gay.”
“I’m not a gay, Jungkook!” Jimin hit his arm. “I’m gay.”
“What’s the difference?” Jungkook blinked.
“Well-”
“Oh my fucking god, can we please leave before we lose our private room?” Namjoon cut in.
Jin did a headcount before he declared them ready to go. “Yes, my children. Listen to your father. Let’s go.”
There were a series of groans before they all filed into two cars. There’s only two ways this night could end: Yoongi comes home to finish his song. Or he has to stay up all night to make sure his dongsaengs don’t choke on their own puke.
---
“Converse high I really, really want you!” Taehyung shrieked into the microphones, Jungkook doing backup vocals for him. Jimin and Hoseok were dancing drunkenly behind them while Jin recorded the whole thing.
Namjoon was sitting next to Yoongi, watching all of them having a good time. “You know, Hoseok wasn’t wrong about you being depressing. I have not seen you smile once tonight.” He muttered towards Yoongi.
Yoongi just sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “How am I supposed to be having fun while everyone else is drunk?”
“Jin and I are being the sober parents. So why don’t get drunk and use that as an excuse to put your dick in Jimin?”
Yoongi choked on his own spit, coughing violently. “W-what?”
“Oh don’t act like that. We all know that you two have a thing. You’re so soft for him, Min Yoongi, it’s quite alarming.” Namjoon softly patted his back to help him breathe easier.
“I’m not soft for anyone.” Yoongi managed to get out after his mini choke session. “I live for myself and only myself.”
Namjoon smirked, knowing that was a complete lie. He saw Jimin approaching the couch where they were sat. Jimin, being the light weight he was, draped himself over Yoongi.
“Hyung.” He whined with a pout. “Why don’t you drink and come dance with me?”
Yoongi just sat back, not bothering pushing him since he knew Jimin would just climb back into his lap. “Because I’m not in the mood, Jimin.” He said bluntly.
“Please?” Jimin jutted out his bottom lip even more in hopes of convincing Yoongi.
“No, Jimin.” Yoongi stated as Jimin continued to pout.
“Three… two… one…” Namjoon counted softly under his breath.
“Fine, Jiminie. Make me something strong.” Yoongi sighed, patting Jimin’s side so he would get up. He did with a cheer, running over to order more drinks.
Yoongi watched Jimin try to figure out how the ordering system worked with a fond look. He didn’t even bother reacting when Namjoon coughed ‘whipped’ next to him. Instead, he went over to Jimin and helped him order the next round of shots. God knew he needed it.
---
Yoongi was on stage, freestyling a rap over a beat of a song he didn’t know. Jin picked it out so he doubted it was anything good originally.
Jimin was glued to Yoongi’s side as he started singing songs that didn’t even make sense. Nonetheless, Taehyung and Jungkook were hyping them up while they were doing their own rendition.
Hoseok was standing off to the side, watching how touchy Yoongi and Jimin were getting. It wasn’t that strange to them, but he got a bit uncomfortable from the amount of grinding happening. Namjoon and Jin seemed to support if their whistles were anything to tell by.
At this point, Jimin was standing in front of Yoongi, mumbling incoherent words that only Taehyung seemed to understand. He took ahold of Yoongi’s arms and wrapped them around himself. Yoongi froze for a second before relaxing against Jimin’s body.
“Yeah, Yoongi! Get that ass!” Jungkook yelled over the music that no one was longer singing to.
“Yah! That’s hyung to you, brat!” Jimin corrected him before Yoongi could, almost stumbling over while shouting, but thankfully Yoongi was there to prevent that.
“Ooh, Jiminie that’s kinky.” Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows, winking in their direction.
“That’s not what I meant.” A blushing Jimin turned to hide his face in Yoongi’s chest while Yoongi just stood there. He was still confused as to what was happening. All he knew was that Jimin was very cuddly and he wasn’t mad about it.
“Are you okay?” Yoongi whispered into Jimin’s ear.
“U-uh.” Jimin looked up at Yoongi before whispering, “I need to pee.”
Yoongi’s mouth formed an ‘oh’ before clearing his throat and pausing the music. “I think we are gonna head out to the bathroom. Jiminie needs to pee.”
“I'll come too!” Hoseok stood up and walked over to the two. “I’ve been dying to pee.”
“Uhm there isn’t enough room.” Jimin swiftly exited.
Hoseok just stood there. “What do you mean there isn’t enough room?”
Namjoon sighed and placed his hand on his shoulder. “They aren’t looking for a threesome, Hobi.”
---
Yoongi was looking around for the bathroom when his eyes land on the long ass line. “Jiminie, that line looks really long. Why don’t we go to the restaurant down the street? You can use the one there.”
Jimin doesn’t say anything, just leads them out of the building. “I don’t even need to use the bathroom, hyung. Don’t worry about it.”
“What? Then why did you say you needed to go to the bathroom? You really made your old hyung walk all the way out here for nothing?” Yoongi slightly teased the younger. “Aish, Jimin-ah. Let’s go back then.”
“No, I actually need to talk to you about something.” From the corner of his eye he sees Hoseok exit the building, most likely searching for the two. “Shit.” He cussed under his breath before grabbing Yoongi's arm. He tried in blend in with the stream of people down the sidewalk in hopes they won’t be spotted.
“Jimin, what the hell is going on? You’re honestly worrying me. Is everything alright?” Yoongi asked Jimin, too busying staring at him to notice Hoseok who was nearby.
“Just follow me.” He glances behind him every so often to check if he was still on their trail.
Yoongi opened his mouth to say something, but stopped before just nodding. He could trust Jimin.
They continued down the sidewalk, Yoongi checking up on Jimin every minute to see if he would budge on what the fuck was going on. They were still holding hands. Both boys didn’t bother trying to let go.
Once they were walking down an empty sidewalk, with no one else around, Yoongi finally decided to speak up.
“Are you okay?” He kept his voice soft since he could tell something was troubling the younger.
“Yeah, just peachy.” Jimin let out a soft laugh. “I just have a lot on my mind at the moment and I can't seem to find any privacy.”
“Well,” Yoongi stopped them abruptly, turning them down another street. “I have the perfect place for us.”
Jimin let the older lead him this time. It would give him more time to think anyway.
Yoongi eventually came to a stop. “This is it.”
Jimin blinked, staring at the entrance to the train station. Or should he say abandoned train station that had a bunch of caution tape around it.
“Yoongi?”
“Hm?”
“Why did you bring us here?” He pursed his lips and looked up at Yoongi.
“For privacy.” Yoongi stated simply before slipping under the tape and grinning at Jimin from the other side. “Come on, Min.”
Jimin hesitated, nervously glancing around. “This seems illegal.”
“It’s not illegal if no one knows. Besides, no one even comes near here. We’ll be fine, Jiminie.”
Jimin took Yoongi's word and followed him into the dark train station.
The ceiling was decorated with intricate designs and tall archways that enhanced the space to make it feel more open. The tracks were illuminated by the moonlight that flooded in from the broken skylights. The deserted train had built up an considerable amount of dust since being isolated from society.
Yoongi was leading him straight to the train car. He wanted to spend more time wandering, but there were more important matters at hand.
“How do you even know about this place?” Jimin questioned as he finally settled his eyes on Yoongi after looking around the station.
Yoongi was clearing away empty cups of ramen and water bottles. Seemed like he was here more often than he’d like to admit. “I just happened to stumble upon this while looking for a spot to clear my mind and avoid our roommates. It’s easier to write music without all those distractions.”
“You calling me a distraction, hyung?” Jimin grinned.
“Yes. I can't exactly write music with you trying to cuddle me every two seconds.” Yoongi said as he took a seat.
Jimin pursed his lips and avoided his eyes. “Well you don’t push me away. So I assumed you didn’t mind.”
“I will not accept and nor deny that statement.” Yoongi got comfortable on the worn down bench in the train car. “So, Minnie that's enough stalling. Let’s talk about what’s been bothering you.” He rested his arm on top of the seat behind him.
“Something’s been bothering me?” Jimin acted dumb.
“Yes.”
“Okay, yes. I’ve been thinking.”
“Dangerous.” Yoongi chuckled.
“Well, I have been thinking a lot about us recently and…” Jimin trailed off, looking at the ground.
“Uh huh.” Yoongi was silently smiling to himself.
“And it's really been bugging me because…”
“Go on.”
“But I don't want to make this weird, you know”
“Mhmm.”
“It's just that…” Jimin let out a exasperated sigh. “Sometimes you smell like really good…”
“I get that.” Yoongi continued before thinking back to what he said. “Wait, what?”
Jimin, still feeling the effects of the alcohol, suddenly gained the confidence he needed. “You smell good. And you give nice hugs. And you make me feel things when you just look at me. And I like you, Min Yoongi, okay?!”
Yoongi was dumbfounded. “Oh.” Was all he managed to get out.
Jimin stood there and stared. “Well?”
“Well what?” Yoongi said, blinking up at him from where he was sitting.
“I just confessed my feelings.”
“Mhmm.”
“You’re acting strange. Why aren’t you reacting?” Jimin asked, sitting down next to Yoongi.
“Reacting to what?” He wrapped his arms around Jimin and pulled him to his chest. Yoongi was trying his best to hide his smirk. It was so easy to get Jimin riled up. He also happened to be very cute when angry.
“Min Yoongi, I won’t hesitate to bitch slap you.” Jimin muttered, tucking his head under Yoongi’s chin. “Tell me how you feel.”
Yoongi laughed and kissed the top of Jimin’s head. “Chim, you know.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know.” He smiled to himself. “But I’d really like to hear it.”
Yoongi pretended to be annoyed before raising his chin so Jimin was looking up at him. “I like you. A lot. And it would be a honor to call you my boyfriend. If that is alright with you.”
“Of course!.” Jimin giggled. “I’d love that.”
“Good.”
“Can you also call me pet names? Like baby, babe, honey, sweetheart…” Jimin bit his lip excitedly.
“Yeah okay, sweetheart.” Yoongi put the emphasis on the pet name while squeezing Jimin’s cheeks.
“Wow. That was easy. Who knew being in a relationship was this easy?”
“It isn’t, but being in a relationship with me is just that easy. Anything else you need me to do, princess?” Yoongi lazily grinned at his boyfriend. Wow, boyfriend. That’s new.
“Maybe a kiss?” Jimin leaned closer with a blush.
“Now you’re asking for too much.” Yoongi pushed him away playfully.
Jimin pouted, letting out a soft whine. “Yoongi.”
“Oh alright, baby.”
He cupped Jimin's face, brushing his thumbs over his cheekbones. Yoongi leaned in and brushed his lips over Jimin’s before pressing his lips fully against his. It was soft, and a little messy since they were still a bit drunk. Special, nonetheless.
Jimin was the first to pull away, smiling too hard to continue. “Thank you, Yoonie.” He kissed the corner of Yoongi’s mouth before burrowing himself into his neck.
Yoongi chuckled a bit. “Got as much enjoyment from that as you did, Jimin, but you’re welcome.” He settled an arm around Jimin and leaned his head against his. They sat there for a few moments before Yoongi spoke up again. “Should probably get going. You’ve taken a long enough piss. The others are probably freaking out. I have a feeling Jin hyung blew up my phone.”
“Don’t worry. They knew I was doing this actually.” Jimin admitted sheepishly.
“What?” Yoongi pulled away a bit, confused once more. Today was just full of confusing.
“Well, I told Taehyung cause I was nervous and needed advice on how to approach you, which was a weird conversation on its own.”
“I’d bet.” Yoongi snorted.
Jimin continued on. “Then he told Jungkook because those two can’t keep anything to themselves. Naturally, Jin and Joonie hyung found out. I’m assuming Hoseok hyung knows too by the way he was following us out earlier.”
“He was following us?” Yoongi questioned, trying to rack his brain for the memory.
“Yeah. Right when we left. He was looking for us, but I just kind of ran. I figured he was trying to eavesdrop. I’ll ask him later.”
Yoongi nodded and checked his watch for the time. “Wow, it’s a lot later than I expected.”
Jimin grabbed Yoongi’s wrist to look at the time for himself. “Oh. They probably assumed we went to a motel for the night.” He said mostly to himself.
“A motel?” Yoongi smirked. “Were you trying to sleep with me, Park Jimin?”
“W-What? No! I wasn’t!” Jimin said quickly. “I was just stating that they probably assumed we went to go fuck. Cause we’re drunk. And that’s what happens.” Jimin was blushing at this point as Yoongi stared at him. “Okay, I’m gonna stop talking.”
Yoongi ruffled Jimin’s hair. “Okay then, babe. Guess we’re fulfilling their dreams and getting a motel.”
Jimin choked on air. “Excuse me?”
“Oh not to fuck, you dirty minded boy. Just to have privacy before we are bombarded with questions.”
“Ooh smart.”
Yoongi just hummed in response before patting Jimin’s side. “Alright, kid. Let’s at least get out of here before the ghosts arrive.”
“I’m not a kid- wait. G-Ghosts?” Jimin stuttered, sitting up straight.
“It was a joke, Minnie. There’s no such thing. Now chop chop. We need to hurry before there are no rooms left.” Yoongi was stood up now, hauling Jimin up to his feet.
Jimin was still creeped out by the ghost comment. Who says that kind of shit? He wasn’t shy about pressing into Yoongi’s side as they exited the creepy station. Okay, so he was a little shy, but Yoongi wrapped an arm around him carelessly so he didn’t think it mattered.
They walked to the nearest motel, little conversation drifting between the pair. Jimin was stifling yawn after yawn while Yoongi was stumbling over his own steps. To say they were exhausted was an understatement.
“Who knew confessing your feelings is so tiring?” Yoongi complained after a few minutes of silence. “That damn station is so fucking far away from everything.”
“We’re almost there, hyung. It’ll be okay.” Jimin muttered through another yawn. He could see the bright sign from where they were. “Besides, I did all the hard work.”
“I take offense. I did kiss you first.”
“But that wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for me.” Jimin admitted smugly.
“Would’ve happened eventually.” Yoongi mumbled, pulling Jimin a little closer from where their hands were intertwined.
Jimin couldn’t help but smile to himself at that comment. He’d like to imagine that even if he didn’t confess his feelings tonight, Yoongi and him would end up together anyway.
The silence settled around them once more and Jimin took this time to think to himself. He was excited to have Yoongi as his now. It was going to be so much easier for him to ask for cuddles and attention, considering it is what fuels his existence.
They finally had made it to the motel. Yoongi was checking them in while Jimin just stood next to him. The receptionist was giving them looks, thinking that they’re going up to fuck.
Yoongi pulled Jimin towards the elevators after the woman started explaining how there were complimentary items in the third drawer of the dresser. Jimin was bright red as Yoongi flipped her off until the elevator doors shut.
Neither of them said anything as Jimin unlocked the door to the room. As soon as the door was open, Yoongi pushed past him and immediately flopped down on the bed.
Jimin followed suit, both of them still fully clothed. Obviously. He turned to face Yoongi who had his eyes closed. “Hyung?”
“Shut up. I’m sleeping.”
Jimin wiggled into his space and got right up in Yoongi’s face. “But you just talked to me.”
“The number you have dialed is currently out of service. Please try again later.” Yoongi changed his voice so it sounded even more monotoned.
“You’re so rude. Is this how the rest of our relationship is gonna go?” Jimin pouted, poking Yoongi’s cheek in hopes to annoy him.
“I swear I am going to tell on you if you don't stop.”
“Who would you even tell? Jin Hyung? We both know he’d be on my side cause he likes me more.”
“I’m telling Taehyung so he ignores you.”
“What? No! Not Taehyung. He’s my only friend.” Jimin moved away from Yoongi. “Here. You have space. I’ll sleep on this side.”
“Stop being a brat and come here.” Yoongi pulls him back into his embrace. He buried his face in Jimin’s hair, his eyes still shut.
Jimin smiled, pressing his face into Yoongi’s neck, the earlier teasing already forgotten. “You’re so grumpy all the time.”
“Get used to it. This is what the rest of your life will be like.” Yoongi mumbled.
Jimin shrugged, attempting to pull the blankets over them. It was hard to do so when they were laying on top of them. “I’m not against it.” He stated. “But you really think we’ll be together for that long?”
“I hope so. I didn’t spend two years crushing on you to only date you for a week.”
“Two years?” Jimin whispered to himself, moving to stare up at Yoongi. “That’s like when we first met.”
“Exactly.”
“I wish I would’ve said something sooner. So we didn’t waste all that time.” Jimin frowned slightly, staring at Yoongi’s chest.
“Don’t worry, Jimin-ah. We have the rest of our lives to make up for it.” Yoongi pressed his lips to Jimin’s forehead. “Now sleep, jagiya.”
“Goodnight. Yoonglypie” Jimin said closing his eyes.
“I’m breaking up with you.”
”Liar.” Jimin laughed.
Yoongi chuckled lightly before tightening his arms around him. “You caught me. Now seriously. sleep.”
“Kay. I’ll sleep.” Jimin smiled before closing his eyes. He slowly drifted off to sleep, not a worry in the world.
