It was late in the evening and Tokoyami was laying on his bed rubbing his hands lovingly over his large 7-month bump. He smiled as he felt little movements from each side as the two girls were letting their mummy know how much they love him. The omega hummed and looked over to the alarm clock he has on the bed side table, it read ‘22.30’. Tokoyami sighed as his alpha was out on a mission and he just craved his warmth, scent and touch right about now
The omega has become super clingy to his mate and whenever he isn't around, he would try finding things to do around the house, such as cleaning, changing the bed sheets, re organising the nursery they had both designed for their girls. But this time nothing worked and he was starting to feel down as he sat against the head board.
Within moments Tokoyami heard the front door open and close and he perked up happily when he saw Shoji walk in to their bedroom with a smile on his face the moment he set eyes on his pregnant mate
“sorry I got back so late Fumi, the mission is still ongoing but they let me leave because they could tell I just wanted to be home with you. I wasn’t concentrating properly and they didn’t want me to get hurt if anything serious popped up”
The alpha explained as he dropped his bag on the floor and removed his jacket, placing it on the back of a chair before making his way over to his pregnant mate
“Mezo...”
The omega teared up and a single tear fell down his beak. Shoji half frowned at his mate and leaned in to hold him in a tight hold with his arm like features
“what’s wrong? Why are you sad?”
The alpha asked worried as he webbed himself around the smaller
“I’m... I’m not sad. I’m just... so happy your home”
The omega whimpered in to his alphas chest as the warmth from his arms cradled him. Shoji smiled softly as he pulled back and looked at Tokoyami with loving eyes
“stop crying, I’m here now”
The alpha wiped his mates beak dry and ran his thumbs under his eyes to clear the tears
“I know! Let's make you comfortable!”
Shoji added as he jumped up and ran to the wardrobe. Once he opened it, he was careless on how he dived through the folded clothes and piled a load of his tops, jumpers and sweaters on the floor, along with the blanket he places on the bed every night that Tokoyami loves so much. He leaped back over to his pregnant mate and helped him stand from the bed whilst he set everything up
First, he placed the big blanket flat over the bed before he rolled some of his jumpers up to work as cushion type pillows, continuing after that he grabbed his sweaters and placed each one running around the edge of the bed. He then grabbed his tops which he had many of and threw them in a messy pile in the middle
Tokoyami smiled as he watched his alpha running around making sure everything was just right and once he had finished he stood with his hands on his hips and a smug smile appeared across his lips as he turned to the omega
“I made you a nest that is full of my scent”
Shoji beamed a massive cheesy smile at his mate. Tokoyami hummed a laugh as he found it so cute how well his alpha looks after him.
The omega waddled slowly over to his mate and turned to his side so that he was able to hug his alpha with his head against the tallers chest. Tokoyami’s bump looked really big for how far gone he was, given that he is 7 months pregnant and would be large. However, he was at a size where he looked like he was going to give birth any time now and that he was pregnant with more than his twin girls. Every so often he curses the fact that the baby's dad is on the tall/large size, although he wouldn’t change that for the world.
Especially in times like this where he could be completely surround by his alpha in a safe warming embrace
Shoji pulled his mate back at arm's length and rubbed three of his hands over the bump, completely covering it and taking some weight off the omegas back. Tokoyami sighed in relief and hummed in awe as he felt the movement and warmth radiating from his bump.
The little girls absolutely loved when their daddy paid attention to them, so much so that Tokoyami believed they would be daddy girls from the moment they are born.
Shoji grabbed his mates hand with one of his other hands that weren't on the bump and guided him slowly over to the nest he made for the omega. Tokoyami smiled and looked down as he always got bashful when his alpha did something nice or cute for him. Before the omega knew it, Shoji’s arms wrapped around him and he lifted his pregnant mate up off the ground and carried him over to the nest and gently laid him down so he was slightly propped up on the jumpers
Tokoyami was a blushing mess as he felt like he had gotten extremely heavy during this pregnancy and Shoji has to remind him many times that with the number of arms he has that he can't even tell the difference
The alpha asked permission if he could also enter the nest and of course Tokoyami granted it. Shoji crawled on to the bed full of his clothes and placed his head on the bump to give it a gentle kiss before he moved further up their bed so he was closer to the omega and gave him cute little kisses up his beak and to his forehead where he stayed with his lips pressed for a few more seconds until he pulled away
“I’m so proud of you Fumi, you're doing an amazing job through this pregnancy. I just wish I could be around a lot more”
“don’t be sorry. I know if you could you would be around us all the time, but you have a role to play as a great hero for the citizens of this town... and we understand”
The omega smiled and looked down as he rubbed his hand over his bump. Shoji couldn’t help but smile and place three hands back on the omegas big round belly
“can I... tell them a story?”
The alpha asked as a blush formed across his cheeks. Tokoyami smiled bright and nodded eagerly
Shoji lowered himself back to the bump and kissed it once again before clearing his throat
“hello girlies, I thought maybe I could tell you a little story about how I fell in love with your mum... is that alright?”
The alpha placed one hand on the bump and waited for some movement. A moment went by and there were little nudges under his hand, Shoji smiled happily and transformed his hand in to a mouth and kissed the spot of movement before changing it back in to a hand and laying it flat
“I met your mummy at UA high school. The very moment I laid eyes on him I wanted to speak to him, get to know him and eventually ask him to court me. He has a mysterious dark energy about him which he couldn’t hide and that enticed me even more, your mums quirk is such an amazing power that I hope you two will inherit. The fact that his dark side is on the outside means he has a beautiful and special soul, he has so much love to give and he is also the smartest bravest person I know. I didn’t know you mum for long before I... I fell in love with, in fact I fell in love with him the moment he spoke to me... which ended up being a sarcastic remark about all my limbs”
The alpha giggled before carrying on
“but wow... your mother is a fantastic person, because the moment I asked him to court me he straight up told me five downside facts to having him as a mate and it just so happened those five things were the top five things, I loved most about him. The moment he agreed to be my mate I was over the moon, although Tokoyami didn’t think I was too happy about it as he couldn’t see my stupid smile for the scarf I have over my mouth. Getting to know your mum was an amazing time in my life and when he told me he was pregnant with you two... wow... just wow. I could barely contain my happiness, I was so excited to start a family with the love of my life, I told my family, friends... I even stopped strangers in the street and told them I was going to be a daddy. Of course, I got a few strange looks”
Shoji started chuckling to himself once again
“anyway... I’m sure you little ones have fallen asleep by now, so just know that I love you both and your mummy very very much and I would go to the worlds end for you. Sleep well my beautiful girlies”
The alpha placed another kiss on the bump before he looked up to Tokoyami who was covering his beak and sniffled as tears poured down his cheeks and beak.
“hey! Why are you crying?”
Shoji asked worried as he crawled up to his mate and wiped his tears away as they fell
“It’s just... it’s these stupid hormones... and... and what you said was so sweet that... I couldn’t hold back my emotions... and... and they fell from my eyes!”
Tokoyami put his head back and dramatically cried and laughed at the same time making Shoji burst out in to laughter
“you are just the cutest thing when your pregnant, you know that?”
The alpha spoke as he wiped away more tears and pulled his mate in to a hug, wrapping all six arms around him and letting out relaxing pheromones. Tokoyami’s eye lids became heavy as his mates scent surrounded him in a warm embrace
“before I fall asleep... tell me what their heart beats sound like again”
The omega pulled back with a smile as he wiped his eyes fully clearing his happy tears
“of course!”
The alpha sat up and changed two of his hands to ears and placed them on either side of the large bump. Tokoyami watched his mate as a smile creeped on to his face
“bom, bom, bom, bom, bombombom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bombombom”
Shoji mimicked the sound of the very fast heart beats with a smile, Tokoyami looked at him softly as his eyes began to close slowly until he eventually nuzzled his beak in to one of the jumpers and nodded off.
The alpha carefully shuffled his way back up the bed making sure not to disturb his sleeping mate, he stroked his knuckles against the side of his face
“God, I love you so much Fumikage”
Shoji stared at his mate lovingly before he carefully repositioned him so that he was laying on his chest. The alpha loved having his mate sleep on his chest, it meant he was able to wrap three arms around the omega and place three hands on the large bump
“hmmm... meh... huh?... nnn... no... yeah... I love Mezo... hnnn he will be a good dad... babies... mumma’s here.... nom”
The alpha chuckled as Tokoyami mumbled in his sleep.
~ I wonder what he ate at the end? ~
Shoji thought to himself with a smirk of happiness before he leaned in slowly and placed a long gentle kiss on the omegas beak.
He laid back with a yawn and fell asleep holding his family in his arms
