“What’s going on? I’m not sure if I’m ready for another one of our crazy missions,” Arthur joked, but Mera didn’t return his laughter, her brows were furrowed and her lips set in a tight line.
His laughter died on his lips and he swam closer to her, stopping in front of her. “What’s wrong?”
The princess looked up to him, grinding her teeth. “My father wants me to accompany him back to Xebel.”
Arthur’s heart stopped for a second. His chest tightened and he swallowed hard.
