Chapter Text
“Hey, Katsuki?”
“Hm?”
“Which do you think looks best on me? The red or the black one?”
Bakugou Katsuki found himself in a momentary out-of-body experience. Never would he have thought he would be in this position. Before he met you, he would have scoffed at even the concept of going shopping as a date. It was the stupidest idea ever. Why the hell should he be picking clothes for the person he’s dating? He’d probably be bored out of his mind and stuck holding shopping bags the entire time. What if someone saw him like that? He would rather be caught dead than being someone else’s little assistant shopper.
Yet here he was. Ground Zero. Number two pro hero. The Bakugou Katsuki. Being someone else's personal lackey. How’d he get in this mess?
“Katsu?”
A soft voice snapped him out of his little stupor.
Oh, yeah… That’s why.
You were watching him with soft eyes that were mixed with concern and confusion. Gazing at your face made him remember why he was here. When you asked him if he was okay after being obviously ogled at by passersby, he told you not to worry about it. When you offered to carry your shopping bags, he was quick to tell you he strong enough to carry all the bags himself. This shopping trip wasn’t even your idea, he was the one who brought you here in the first place! Why? Because he fucking loved you, dammit.
You had him wrapped around your little finger and had absolutely no idea how much power you held. Convincing him to be a little nicer to his friends. Letting him vent his frustrations and insecurities. Tending to his wounds after a hard day of hero bullshit. Calling him whenever you missed him. Helping each of his nightmares slowly disappear. There wasn’t one aspect of his life that you hadn’t improved.
You were the best thing that's ever happened to him. He wanted to give you the best of everything because you brought out the best in him.
“Hey, y/n.”
“Hm?”
“What kind of stupid question is that? Everything looks beautiful on you.”
