   Summary

Eridanus Nox had been taken in to Yu-shan at an early age; he left behind little that he would miss, and set his sights on accruing as much influence and power as he could -- but he could not forget his childhood friend, the Rose Fawn.

And it was because he could not forget that he intervened in her fate, and brought her Exaltation upon her in the wrong life, and is now responsible for tracking her down, just like he's tracked down other Exaltations before. There's no question that he'll do whatever he can to save her life . . .

. . . but can he bring himself to save her heart?
