Chapter Text
It is a day where the skies are clear without much clouds. Yokohama city is as it should be – as busy as a normal city in Japan would be. Two individuals lounge inside a café, their world untainted with the bustling life of the city.
“Ah, it’s quite a nice day today,” the female mutters to herself, staring dreamily towards the transparent doors of the café. Her hands interlace together on the counter as she continues, “don’t you think, Fukuzawa-san?”
“It certainly is, [Last Name]-kun.”
“Say, why are you here, Fukuzawa-san? You usually visit once a month, but this month it’s the second time you’re here,” the girl shares a knowing smile, now staring at the white-haired male sitting calmly as he sips his tea. One would think that she is smitten with the much taller male, but both would shoot that thought down in an instant, probably within a blink of the eye.
“I’m sure you know why,” he replies, his teacup clanking with the saucer, “since you are, after all, a valuable ability user, [Last Name] [Name].”
“Ah, I thought there would be another reason, even with a white tiger on the loose in the city,” she pouts, before she stands up from her seat behind the counter. She then walks towards the entrance, flipping the sign to ‘Closed’ before she turns to Fukuzawa Yukichi, claiming the chair before him.
“I thought you would be interested with this case. It’s not often that an ability user roams free in Yokohama.”
“…with the exception of myself, you mean. You do know that you’re hurting a woman’s feelings right now? Ah my heart, I just want to escape from the guys!” she clutches her chest dramatically all the while snickering.
“You do realize that there are girls in the Agency?”
“But still, there's only one female ability user! Too much testosterone especially during missions, I’d rather be here running this café without any interruptions with my darling cats~ Isn’t that right, Yuki?” she asks, as she picks up a pure white fluffy cat and puts it on her lap, stroking its fur. Fukuzawa grunts as she coo at the cat, not really amused that she's using a part of his name to name one of the café's cats.
“That’s a no again then?”
“Unless something can change my mind, then my answer will always be no.”
Sighing as he slides a folder to the bored female, stating that her payment will be in the form of free meals for a whole day (also reprimanding her yet again of her naming choices). In the blink of an eye, he leaves the café, leaving the [h/c]-haired girl pondering over her decisions.
“Am I really doing the right thing, I wonder…”
She flips open the folder.
