Chapter Text
"T-These days, I think my feelings for Deku are getting deeper.." Uraraka says, earning a squeal from her circle of friends.
"I already told you, that's love!" Ashido replies before squealing along with Hagakure.
Bakugou grits his teeth, he was gripping his pencil so tight that his knuckles already turned white. Their high pitched squeals seemed to be stabbing his eardrums like needles. Continuously. Nonstop. He was sure that he did not come to school this early just to hear them gush about Uraraka's stupid crush.
Iida was nowhere to be found, making the situation uncontrollable. But even if he was there, would he be able to stop them? Bakugou didn't think so.
He decided to get up early since he couldn't sleep. He lost count of how many times he rolled around his bed until he finally realized that there was no point of going back to sleep anymore, knowing that all he could see was All Might's fragile state. He still blames himself about it every single night.
He just couldn't.
If he wasn't so careless, would All Might lose his powers?
Would he?
Bakugou snaps his pencil in half as he heard the girls break into another round of squealing. He looks back, his piercing gaze stabbing the main culprit of why Ashido and the other girls were turning into a siren.
Fucking Round face.
Uraraka was bright pink, fanning herself with her hands and shaking her head as she tried to defend herself from the girls' accusations. They were telling her to confess already, saying that she'll regret it if another girl confesses before her.
"Oi, you better shut your mouths before I kill you all!" Bakugou snaps at them, making them all turn their heads to him.
"I-I didn't notice that you were there, Bakugou," Uraraka was the first one to reply. "Sorry."
Bakugou cocks an eyebrow at the reply. Didn't notice him? Was she mocking him? Ashido told Uraraka to not apologize and just ignore him because he was always like that.
He was always hot-headed.
Especially when it comes to Deku.
"Hah?" He pushes himself out of the comfort of his chair, standing up and ready to blast anyone. "You wanna' die, Raccoon bitch?"
Ashido only rolls her eyes. She knew Bakugou would never do such thing. She was part of his small circle of friends that he doesn't even call friends. She knows Bakugou was all bark and no bite.
"Oh please, you're just jealous because you don't have a crush."
Ashido smirks at him, fueling Bakugou's rage even more.
"You're just jealous because you never went to this stage, Bakugou. Tell me, have you ever had a crush?"
Bakugou was taken aback by Tsuyu's statement. He never actually had time for things such as love. Love will just be a distraction for him, knowing that he aspires to be the number one hero. The idea of love made him puke.
"See?" He snaps back into reality as he hears Tohru's voice.
"Uh, guys, I don't think we should be saying those things to him."
What?
Did Uraraka just defend him?
Bakugou clenches his fists and raised a middle finger to the group of girls. He already reached his limit and was ready to kill.
"Fuck you all. I don't need crushes." He says before making his way back to his seat, "They're fucking disgusting and they make me want to puke."
Disgusting.
That's right, those are what crushes are. That's how he's supposed to view the idea of love; disgusting in the simplest way.
"You'll take back everything you said, you know?" He hears Uraraka's voice again, but this time disapointment was evident from it.
"Bakugou, you'll know how we feel once you fall in love too, kero." Mina teases.
He was about to answer back but was cut off as a familiar green-haired classmate of theirs entered. The girls moved away from Uraraka, but not without giving her indirect statements about how she should confess to Deku already.
After Deku arrived, their other classmates slowly filled the room too, until it was Aizawa's turn to come on, telling everyone to settle on their seats.
The day was just a typical Monday.
But not for Bakugou.
Uraraka's words kept echoing in his mind and it was pissing him off. He never liked it when anyone acted as if they knew what's best for him.
Because he knows.
He knows what's best for him.
But when night came, all Bakugou could think of was,
How would it feel to fall in love?
Were the songs not lying?
How would he feel if he kissed someone?
A heavy sigh leaves his lips, growling after. He should get that out of his head for it will only be block his main goal of becoming the top hero.
Bakugou shuts his eyes and lets himself fall into sleep, dreaming of a certain round-faced classmate.
