Summary
Nightmares rattle Shouto since he was five years old, but Touya-nii had told him a legend, of a creature that comes at night to devour all your fears. So he calls for him; the weird beast with the horns, elephant trunk and tiger paws, over and over.
And he comes, every time.
The beast moves closer to him. The longer it touches Shouto the more the heat spreads through his body; and when their foreheads meet, a slow wave of calm settles over his mind. His body sags back into the sheets, and just before sleep takes him back in her arms, this time without hints of terror - he thinks about how the creature is actually pretty small, about Shouto's height when he stands. He wants to thank it, his palm closing over tiger fur, and his mind drifts into the abyss.
