Work Text:

Darkness. Your vision was nothing but a deep, endless black. No matter how hard you fought, you couldn’t get the blindfold to slip away from your eyes. You didn’t know where you were, the only thing grounding you being the ropes around your wrists, ankles, and the dingy chair you were forced onto possibly hours ago.

The silence was unsettling. Every movement you made seemed to echo throughout what was possibly some large, vacant storage space, but without your sight you couldn’t be sure. How did you even wind up here, you wonder. You remember just walking down the street in a trip to the market. A sleek, black car pulled up to you. The windows were tinted, so you couldn’t see what was inside. You tried ignoring it but someone suddenly jumped out right in front of you--- a blur of white and red and suddenly you were so, so cold…

Then you regained consciousness in someone’s arms, being dragged to who knows where and being forced into this chair you were tied to. That’s right… you were abducted by a villain. If you remember correctly, you were taken by Shoto, one of the more powerful and immensely feared villains. He was an absolute terror, son of top hero Endeavor. What in the world did he want with you of all people? You weren’t anything special. You couldn’t be held hostage for a large ransom, and it’s not like the Hero’s Association would fall into a big uproar to get you. What did Shoto have to gain from abducting you?

The sound of approaching footsteps brought you out of your train of thought. Fear began to settle in your stomach again as you writhed in your seat, tugging violently at your binds to try and escape once more.
“Oh hush, hush love,” a cold, dark voice purrs right into your ear. “Too much of that and you’ll get rope burns on your gorgeous skin. I’d prefer if you’d come out of this as injury free as possible, but if you happen to force my hand… well…”
Your blood runs cold as a warm, nearly burning hand settles on your shoulder. It was Shoto. His mere presence sent tremors down your spine, and his hand was right on your shoulder. He could easily kill you in mere seconds, and the thought of being so close to death made tears build in the corners of your eyes.

“Oh, my dear. Why are you trembling like that? I only said I’d hurt you if you misbehave and so far you’ve been an absolute angel. Come now, I wouldn’t dream of harming such a gorgeous being without reason.”
You feel the blindfold around your eyes begin to loosen, and suddenly your vision has returned. Your sight was a bit blurry at first as your eyes adjust to your new surroundings, but the first thing that becomes clear is Shoto’s face. Your heart skips a beat as you gaze into his cold, dark eyes. A devious smirk decorates his face as he takes in your fear, clearly all too pleased with the power he has over you.

“My darling,” he coos softly as he brings a hand up to run through your hair. “You look even better up close than I imagined. Look at those pretty, sparkling tears in your eyes…” The dual-haired villain leaned down to press a kiss to your cheek, licking the single tear that dared to fall from your eyes.

“I remember seeing you when you were caught in a bout between Deku and I. My, we really caused a lot of property damage then, but I’m glad you made it out safe. That look of fear and distress in your eyes when we made eye contact for the first time… I knew I had to have you.”

You bit back a strangled noise in distress and confusion as Shoto spoke. He couldn’t be serious, right? He liked you? You didn’t even know him, and there’s no way he knew you. This was just crazy. It had to be a nightmare.
“I’ve been watching you ever since that day,” Shoto continued. “Just biding my time and planning for the perfect moment to sweep you away and make you mine. Now that you’re finally here, I couldn’t be happier.”
Your body twinged with disgust as the villain continued to play with your hair. Admittedly, the gentle attention felt nice, but coming from a villain… you just couldn’t stomach it.

“Now that our new life together has begun, we need to celebrate.”

Oh no.

“Come, let’s start with a kiss…”

Oh, no no no.

You writhed in your seat, tugging desperately at your bindings and pleading for mercy. Your first kiss couldn’t be stolen by a villain! You wouldn’t allow that! You tried turning away, but one icy hand came up and gripped your jaw tight. Your head was forcibly turned to face Shoto and for a split second, you saw the terrifying sight of an angry Shoto. You nearly screamed, fearing he was going to hurt you for acting up, but that angered expression quickly melted to that of some sick, twisted form of adoration.

“Easy now, you almost forced my hand there. You’re just lucky I really want this…”

You saw the villain start to lean in before you shut your eyes. A desperate cry for help forced its way out of you and, right on cue, you hear a nearby wall collapse.

You and Shoto simultaneously turn to look at the gaping hole in the wall, a cloud of dust blinding you from your savior. Shoto clicked his tongue in disappointment and released his grip on you, raising his hands and preparing his fierce elemental quirk for an attack.

Your heart soars in excitement as you try to make out who had come to your aid. Who was the mighty hero who’d make this nightmare end? You were indebted to them, sworn to them, once they took you away you’d follow them everywhere.
The dust begins to settle, and your heart immediately sinks.

Standing before you and Shoto is the ex-hero Deku. Like Shoto, Deku was a powerful and feared villain who no one dared cross paths with. The terrifying display that occurred the aforementioned battle between him and Shoto was enough to drive anyone away. Yet, perhaps this was your chance. The enemy of your enemy is your friend, after all. Even if he was a villain, perhaps Deku could still be considered your hero.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Deku asks, eyes glued to Shoto.

“I could be asking you the same thing,” comes Shoto’s response.

“You know I laid claim to them first. You can’t go taking what’s mine, not unless you want me to beat your ass again.”

Oh. You were pretty sure you were going to be sick. This can’t be. Oh, the humanity. Not only were you being sought after by Shoto, but Deku as well? What have you done to deserve such a thing? Tears clouded your vision as your quiet, frightened sobs interrupted the conversation between the two villains.

You couldn’t see very well, but you could make out Deku looking to you and flashing a wide, toothy grin.

“Aww, look! They’re so happy to see me!” he jeers. “Don’t you worry, honey. I just need to make this bastard suffer a little bit, then we can go and get to know each other a little better, alright? You just sit tight, I’ll be with you shortly.”
You didn’t know what would be a worse fate: staying with Shoto, or being taken by Deku. Surely, there was still hope. If they are going to cause a ruckus, a hero must show up at some point, right?

“Id like to see you try,” you hear Shoto exclaim before he turns to you, reaching out with his icy cold arm. In an instant, you’re numb. Completely incased in ice and left in cryostasis as a protective measure while the two villains duked it out. Not that you would know, because once again, your consciousness drifted.

There was only darkness once again.
