   Summary

   Alysanne Snow is the bastard daughter of Eddard Stark. Although she was raised among her trueborn siblings, Alysanne was sent to foster with three of her father's vassals, over the course of her childhood, House Reed, House Mormont, and House Magnar , the Lords of the Isle of Skagos.

   Alysanne strikes up a friendship with Tyr Magnar, heir to the Lordship of Skagos during her time on the isle. When Tyr escorts her back to Winterfell on his way to squire for Lord Manderly , he asks Eddard Stark for her hand in marriage, a request he is happy to grant, not just because Alysanne reciprocates's Tyr's feelings for her, but because of his fear that both friend and foe will discover that Alysanne is really the daughter of his sister and Rhaegar Targaryen .

   Yet secrets have a way of getting out, and when her father is executed for discovering one that Cersei Lannister does not want revealed, Alysanne discovers the truth of her own parentage and is forced to fight, not just for her own survival, but those she loves as well.
